    ⛰ I definitely need to EXHALE when I’m looking at this vista,
    DRENCH is the word that comes to mind…I tell you Miss and Mister…
    It goes UNSAID my vertigo?… Uh EQUITY compels,
    That here where we have come today? There’s not a shot in h- – l…
    Drenched in sweat you would see me, my breathing thick like HUMMUS,
    There’s no way I would venture this…Daring? Not me amongst us…
    Yes, I suppose there is a THRONG of people who have climbed,
    But trust me, I’m not one of them, who finds this most sublime…
    I’ve got myself some high-heeled shoes…and them…yes, I’ve ascended…
    To those like me…as far as heights? They’re HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! ⛰

    How odd…We had “All-Time HIGH” for a solve yesterday, and today we have “HIGHLY RECOMMENDED”…Hmm…I think our David may be developing an ALTITUDE problem…

    So…I have a feeling that, unlike Friday, when our puzzle just didn’t SETTER too well with a ton of readers, today instead may bring a welcome breath of FRESH AIR…I’m hoping so anyway… Because, I’m going to say this right from the door. If you read the question, looked at the cartoon, and that INCANdescent light immediately came on? You’re fine…But if you’ve written down today’s letters…and you’re looking at 17 of them, and the second word is calling for 11…and you’re feeling OVERwhelmed? Just breathe…Don’t feel that the stakes are too HIGH…And by all means, please don’t allow your blood PRESSURE to RISE..or get yourself into a state of HIGH anxiety… Fear not, Fellow Jumblers…the proof is always in the pudding…or in this case, the dialogue…and the question. Dialogue: “The Wilsons TOLD US to come here”…They RECOMMENDED it…And “The sky is so clear UP here”, combined with our Question: “At almost 8,000 feet”…They’re HIGH UP……And …Voila! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! …And you’ve CLIMBED this hurdle in no time FLAT…I keep telling you, Folks…It’s always PERUdent to study that dialogue…Ok…let’s BACKPACK, I mean backtrack…

    Our words…All six have REACHED these pages before, and we’ve also seen CERNDH back on 07/02/16. And while every Early Bird to a man SOAR the solve immediately, there was a slight pause for 1 of them at UNSAID, and another blanked….not blinked, but blanked at HUMMUS. Their defense? And I quote…”Those UN prefix words can be TREKy”, and “Hummus? What a PASTE of time…I’ve never eaten it”…So while they may not have hit it out of the park, one has to admit that their wit is still batting a thousand… These boys can be entertaining…

    And since I’ve already gone through the solve with you, I guess ALPACA this in…Oh, Jeff’s Gems…There’s no way I can OVERLOOK his great imagery with the architecture of it all, so my reVIEW is 5-Star. But LLAMA go on record stating that for me, it’s his SPITting image of that Llama that’s the HIGH point of this cartoon. It FLEECEd me to no end!

  3. 🫒 Trying to make HUMMUS for the first time, he had a THRONG of ingredients, with no sense of EQUITY about them, but wanting to DRENCH the chickpeas in lemon juice, he had to EXHALE, because the tartness burned his eyes..and that’s when he decided it was best left UNSAID that it wasn’t a recipe HIGHLY RECOMMENDED…🫒

    🤦🏻‍♀️ When she saw the THRONG of people, she started to EXHALE,
    She just came to get HUMMUS, but the large crowd made her reel…
    It went UNSAID anxiety had always been her bane,
    No EQUITY could she obtain, in crowds she’d always wane

  6. As a first look this morning, thought about EXCAVATED or DISCOVERED…which were wrong. But after trying to work the puzzle clues into something coherent, we saw that maybe the altitude had something to do with it…and voila – HIGHLY popped up, which mated with the Wilson’s Recommendation.

    And joining the other sports bloggers…am not a big sports fan these days, but being that Kansas City is my hometown….go Chiefs; and MU won yesterday….but not a fan of Texas football (UT) so sorry about the rout over Rice. Hmmmm, thanks for all of your JUM-BALL news.

    Machu Picchu has a way…
    It can take your breath away
    So before making the climb – think twice!

    • Good Morning, Helen…Many possibilities, indeed..I was CLIMBING the walls because I couldn’t sleep well, so I just started making these UP…figuring it might be HIGHLY impossible to follow your trend of thought.         • LOL! Not fond is putting it mildly, Helen! But as far as “Climb Every Mountain” goes? I’ve been chastised for years, because for some strange reason, I’ve never liked the song… or the movie, for that matter. With all due respect to the beautiful, cultured, talented Dame Julie Andrews, who I am fond of, I just never took to it. But I do love the majesty of mountains…it’s just that I prefer to admire them from afar…AFAR away as I can get! 😉🙋🏻‍♀️

  10. Puzzle solution took me a while but the Sunday anagrams were not much of a problem. Nice drawing of Macchu Picchu.
    Dodgers won today but so did the Giants so no harm no foul.
    SoCal will be saying ciao to cooler weather of the last week and the Santa Ana winds are predicted for next week.

  11. Wow Mig ! I was just the opposite, I got the jumble but HUMMUS and UNSAID were anagrams that kept me up, but it’s 🎶 Sunday morning you look so fine 🎶 and Ohio state won 41 to 20 and the Cleveland Browns play tomorrow at 1:00 , I’ll be a busy fan , have a great day everyone !!!!!!

      Our mileage may vary but we get there in the end!
      Ohio state’s loss last week was embarrassing but the season is long.
      Baker Mayfield may be having a yard sale tomorrow so I can’t predict the game’s outcome.

  12. Easy time of it with the anagrams but it was a bit of a trek to arrive at the cartoon solution. Kept studying the dialogue when highly came to mind, then recommended followed quickly after that. Wishing all of you a good day.

  13. Solving the Jumbles was easy. It took a few minutes to find the solution. I went to Machu Picchu a few years ago. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

  14. Our paper screwed up so we got mondays jumble..Sunday and the same for Monday. Never did get Sundays..maybe on Tues. That’s Twin Falls Idaho…Times News for ya
