  1. No issue with the anagrams or with the solution. Fortunately my entry fee was disc counted!
Bet that Angela has a DISC-o related solution. Oh yeah, DISCO FEVER, baby!

  2. Good Morning, Everyone…. 🥏 AND THEN IT HIT ME…🥏

🎶 Well I was TOSSIN’ and turnin’…Turnin’ and tossin’…A tossin’ and turnin’ all night…🎶 “Tossin’ and Turnin’” – Bobby Lewis 1961 https://tinyurl.com/4xk696bh

🥏 Their kids big fans of Frisbee, there were five who liked take part,
They shopped more than one OUTFIT…budget conscious from the start
With money being tight these days, UNDUE costs they can’t do,
So they were always on the prowl…with bargains they were shrewd…
They went through many Frisbees, their kids did practice a lot,
Determined to get good at it, a CALLUS you could spot
There’d be no CHIDE for shopping though…those hours that had mounted…
‘Cause finally they found this sale…where Frisbees were “DISC-COUNTED”! 🥏

So, Frisbees. UP to you Folks. We can hang aROUND and DISCuss them, or we can just THROW caution to the wind…and LET IT GO…Let’s choose the latter. But for those of you who enjoy the give and take…here’s some reading material https://tinyurl.com/4azt4p9k just to get you UP TO SPEED…I mean I could stand aROUND here all morning THROWING the bull…but I’m going to reWRIST..I mean resist…

Our words today? Definitely ones that have been TOSSED aROUND before. And I did come UP with two RETURNING anagrams…DNEUU from 2018, and LCASLU from last November. And if it wasn’t for CALLUS, the Early Birds would have FLOWN THREW this whole thing totally unencumbered…But we had a chorus of CASUAL going on here this morning…So much so, that I was forced to say…”Whoa…what the “A”? Slow down with the cAsuAl…Where’s the second “A”? These guys, so quick to JUMP the gun…Anyway, they finally got a GRIP on it…and end of DISCussion. As for the solve? FLYING colors all aROUND…But how about y’all? Easy, breezy…or did it go right OVER YOUR HEAD? Let us know down in the comments…

Ok, so. A Sporting Goods store, where on a shelf we see a Soccer Ball and a Basketball..and shopping, we see a couple thrilled to have found a SALE on those flying DISCS known as Frisbees. 5 for $10, a great DISCOUNT…And with them having 5 kids? They’ve definitely hit pay dirt here…Our solve? It’s all right there in what they’re DISCussing…He’s doing the COUNTING, and she’s using the word “Cheap”. -“DISC-COUNTED” Frisbees? It’s a win-win…HANDS down!

Jeff’s Gem? I’ve left the best for last…Perched on the bottom shelf…there’s a paddle, with what looks like an animated Pickle, swinging at a ball with holes. Now I could be way out in left field here, but with there being a sport called Pickleball… https://tinyurl.com/yndvcxek could this be Jeff’s whimsy come out to PLAY? Maybe…and the ball’s in his COURT now…

So, There you have it Folks, Done. Have a good one. Be well, stay safe…and I was going to leave you with a Frisbee joke…but it fell flat…🥏🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. 🤷🏻‍♂️ After mistakenly using the word callous for CALLUS, he was subject to a lot of UNDUE criticism from the guys in the OUTFIT, and when they started to CHIDE him, he just DISCOUNTED the comments as pettiness…🤷🏻‍♂️

💵 He took the job before he saw the OUTFIT that he’d wear,
He knew his friends would def CHIDE him, but really didn’t care…
Not one to fear a CALLUS, his hands were used to work,
And any UNDUE comments? He refused to feel the jerk…
So as expected he was teased, but as the remarks mounted?
Employee perks were given him…so much stuff was DISCOUNTED! 💵

  4. Good morning. Not much trouble with the words but could not come up with a blind solve. Even after putting down the letters it took a little time to come up with the correct answer. Enjoyed your song choice Angela. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

    • The word callus gave me some difficulty; had to go to dictionary because there is also callous which is very similar…

      • Hi Alan. Yes, they are both very similar. And I’m pretty sure you won’t be the only one speaking of it today. Thanks for commenting, Alan. Enjoy your day.🥏🙋🏻‍♀️

    • Good Morning, Paul. Tks. And I wish for you to stay well and safe too. Enjoy your day. 🥏🙋🏻‍♀️

  5. Yes, I’ll join with others on figuring out CALLUS. Puzzle answer another blind solve today…This is a record week. Three anagrams were easy, but had to back in CALLUS, and even then was unsure. Enjoy the day.

    • It has been a fun week, Terry. The solves proved easier than some of the words! 🥏🙋🏻‍♀️

  6. Will have to send my limerick a bit later today. We actually have our son working from our house today now that we are all double vaccinated and it’s allowed. Rules are pretty strict in Ontario. Buffalo folks now get to watch the Blue Jays in person in Buffalo as no big sporting events are taking place here.
Will figure out a limerick to complete the week!

    • Not to worry, Helen. We’re here all day…I’ve written two of them this morning…they are fun to work with. Enjoy the time with your son…we’ll be here whenever you’re free! 🥏🙋🏻‍♀️

  7. Sales at the store were quite brisk
    Of that fast-flying wee disc.
    Just pennies a throw
    The price was so low
It was not really much of a risk!

        • Hi Helen…I jotted down two, but I’m not quite sure they follow your train of thought…Close, though…Here’s a TOSS UP…😉🙋🏻‍♀️

Frisbee fever has taken a grip,
          Keeping five kids outfitted..a trip
But the sale was a boon
          Happy kids we’ll see soon…
          Without finances suffering a slip!

    • Hi Cindy. It’s not a new word to the Jumble lexicon. Just a quick search this morning, found it going back at least 10 years…Maybe not a word we hear all that often, but a good one nevertheless! 🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. Another clever puzzle this morning. No problems with the anagrams or the cartoon solution. It’s been a banner week. Great limerick as always, Helen. I look forward to them every day now. Happy Friday to all!

    • Good Morning, Betty. It’s definitely been an easy, breezy week. And tomorrow’s looking to follow suit! 👍🏻 Happy Friday to you too! 🥏🙋🏻‍♀️

    • Hi Chuck. Always good to see you. Thank you…and why not TOSS your hat into the ring? I know you’ve a way with words! Hope you didn’t suffer any damage with the storm…it raged here for hours. Be well, Chuck…and all the best to you and yours. 🥏🙋🏻‍♀️

  9. Good morning again. I don’t know if this is appropriate but I’ll give it a shot. Because of Undue tariff taxes on the Outfit sent, the Callus manager did Chide the entire shipping department. Take care.

    • Hi Paul. You’re always appropriate in my book…but this time that bocce ball’s falling just a tad too short. You’ve used the word Callus, where your sentence calls for the word Callous. And trust me, it’s a very common oversight. But the sentence is definitely a winner…”O”-k? 😉🙋🏻‍♀️

  10. Hi all – The words went pretty well – lots of U’s! Like OUTLAW yesterday, OUTFIT fell into two smaller word, then the double letter trick helped with CALLUS.
I did happen to think of “flying DISC” for the frisbees, so that showed the answer. My minor nitpick that the dialog should say “Each of the kids…”

Thanks for the pickleball info Angela – at first I thought it was Mr. Peanut playing ping-pong. It seemed to me that I’d heard a news story about people living near pickleball courts (converted tennis courts) complaining about noise, and indeed, all you have to do is google “pickball noise” and there are a ton of them, including from Berkeley and this one from Vancouver:
    https://tinyurl.com/5an8wn4z

    Good wishes to everyone.

“Whatever your opinion, it’s not appropriate to give UNDUE criticism or CHIDE the middle-schooler that her DISCOUNTED OUTFIT is so small it’s likely to cause a CALLUS somewhere.”

    • Hi Steve…Despite Pickleball causing such a RACKET😉, it’s still UP IN THE AIR as to who/what is pictured on the paddle. It’s just my guess. But as far as the Mom using the word “All”? I’m pretty sure if you’re raising THAT many kids? ALL definitely fits the bill! 😉 Good wishes to you too, Steve. Have a good one. 🥏🙋🏻‍♀️

      • Thanks. I also meant to express my concern for you and Mike and all the rest in the path of the storm.

        • Tks, Steve. I failed to mention it too. Mind boggling to see the amount of rain that fell, and the devastation Elsa left in her wake. We got hit hard, but were spared the type of damage I’m seeing unfold on the news. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone in Elsa’s path. 🙏🏻
