  1. Good Morning, Everyone. I hope this finds you well…👩‍👧‍👦

🎶 You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains…You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas…I am strong, when I am on your shoulders…You raise me up to more than I can be…🎶 “You Raise Me Up” – Josh Groban 2003 https://tinyurl.com/8jtfeyw

👩‍👧‍👦 There’s no HIATUS for a Mom, around the clock is ACTUAL,
It’s like she has a GRILLE of sorts, protective to be factual…
She’ll FUNNEL all the love she has into her little ones,
She’d wear a SHROUD-like armor for both her daughters and her sons
There’s joy and there is heartache, INHALE and then exhale,
The gamut of emotions is what a Mother feels…
She watches as her kids grow up…looks back one day and then…
She’ll tell you nothing could compare to RAISING HER CHILDREN! 👩‍👧‍👦

Today’s Mother’s Day puzzle gives us a sentimental throwback look at Jeff’s family. We see his wife Kathy, happily raising into her arms their two children, Sydney and Cameron…and while the dialogue speaks for itself, the framed photos show us how their children have grown…Kathy loved RAISING HER CHILDREN.

Jeff’s Gems this morning?…Cam, who has a band-aid on his knee, and is holding a ball in his portrait, sports a T-shirt bearing the image of Thomas the Tank Engine, while Sydney’s displays a bunny, just like the one she’s holding in her portrait. Hearts are shown drawn on both of the hand-made cards, and Sydney’s signed hers. There’s a vase of flowers standing behind her…And Kathy has a single tear falling from her eye…

My best wishes go out to Everyone today, especially those celebrating Mother’s Day. Be well, stay safe…and may we all feel the blessings of our Mothers. 👩‍👧‍👦🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. We are heading to a nice hotel tomorrow for Mother’s Day. First hotel trip in many moons. IM both a little fearful and a little excited. Ocean breezes and great food should be calming!
Dodgers winning by double digits tonight so a nice start.
Hope you all are celebrating your moms and are enjoying the wonderful weather……

  3. 📚 Peering through the GRILLE of the abandoned warehouse, she saw a figure in a SHROUD that flowed from the FUNNEL-like gusts of wind, and her labored INHALE of breath pounded in her ears like an ACTUAL drum…and with that chapter under her belt, she decided to take a short HIATUS and concentrate on RAISING HER CHILDREN…📚

🤷🏻‍♀️ The GRILLE of her car damaged, looking like an ACTUAL mess,
She found it hard to INHALE..drowning in a SHROUD of stress
She couldn’t fit a FUNNEL through, HIATUS needed then…
Her nerves are shot…(how to connect…To RAISING HER CHILDREN)? 🤷🏻‍♀️

  4. We stumbled….then stumbled some more on the GRILLE anagram !!! We spelled it out correctly but didn’t have the confidence to see it as a word….Knew the puzzle ended with CHILDREN but… oh well, no use babbling on and on. We could have done better today. ‘Nuff said. And Happy Mother’s day to all you mother’s out there

    • No worries, Terry…you did just fine! And wishing you a happy day, too! 👩‍👧‍👦🙋🏻‍♀️

  5. I remembered Hiatus from past puzzles, but I got sidetracked thinking Reading would be the first and something related to cards would be the second. When this didn’t work, I noticed Children and then unscrambled Raising. Thanks for pointing out Jeff’s family, Angela. Another sweet puzzle.

    • Kudos on the solve, Caroline 👏🏻👏🏻..And I thought it a very sweet puzzle too…A little love letter from Jeff to his wife! 👩‍👧‍👦🙋🏻‍♀️

  6. Cute and very appropriate puzzle this morning. Wishing all the Mothers out there a very Happy Mother’s Day!! 🌷

  7. Hi all – Got the words pretty well – I’d say HIATUS would probably be the hardest if I hadn’t just recognized it from previous puzzles. From the answer letters I saw that there was an ING and then happened to get CHILDREN which showed the rest.

Good wishes and happy mother’s day to everyone.

“He took a HIATUS from his duties at the backyard GRILLE to FUNNEL away the SHROUD of smoke, lest he INHALE it or allow it to spoil the ACTUAL taste of the meat.”

  8. Good afternoon. I had a hiatus on the first word Hiatus. I finally gave up and searched it out. I should have remembered from past experiences. Other than that everything was relatively easy. Wishing all you mothers out there a Blessed Happy Mother’s Day. I hope your day is enjoyable. It took me late in life to realize how much your mothers do for their family. I don’t think we men can compare to you women. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

    • Beautifully said, Paul. ❤️ Wishing for you to stay well and safe too. Have a good one. 👩‍👧‍👦🙋🏻‍♀️

  9. I also tripped over Hiatus and had to make sure Grille was an Actual word but was able to Inhale my second wind and Funnel my thoughts so the Shroud of confusion lifted. Raising Her Children is so apt for Mother’s Day. Have a great day everyone. I will be glad to see the Monday puzzle!

    • Hey OO…Grille does have a rather odd look to it…And yes, this is a perfect puzzle for Mother’s Day…As for tomorrow’s puzzle? I’m sure you’ll be pleased..it’s a fun one! 👩‍👧‍👦🙋🏻‍♀️

  10. Millard from the biggest Little city. We celebrated two grandmothers and three mothers today. It’s a great day looking forward to next weeks dumbbells. Wishing all well.

    • Wishing you well too, Millard. Enjoy your evening…👩‍👧‍👦🙋🏻‍♀️
