  1. Sometimes The answers are pretty weird. Not something I would remotely think. The anagrams worked for me.
I always think it would be fun to see how David and Jeff figure out these Jumbles. I guess you would start with the solution then find the anagrams that would give you the right letters. The drawing and little commentary in the drawing are obviously important
May be the most over-analyzed puzzle but we all love it!

  2. Good Morning, Everyone. ….👃🏻INSCENTSITIVITY? 👃🏻

    🎶 Look at me, I’m as helpless as a kitten up a tree…And I feel like I’m clinging to a CLOUD..I can’t understand…I get MISTY just holding your hand…🎶 “Misty” – Johnny Mathias 1959 https://tinyurl.com/2943ak4t

👃🏻 I’m sure we’ve all encountered one, a person with that spray,
They try to get you to ENGAGE, I OPPOSE all the way…
I’m sure a lot of you do too, not looking to get hit,
With something sweet, resembling a RAISIN…my teeth grit…
I guess they can be USEFUL, part of free enterprise,
But I still CLINCH my fists and pray that I won’t be surprised
(I’m not sure what to do with SPLINT…it just don’t fit this scene)
But getting back, some of these sprays? The other way I lean…
So here today with this cute stand and this girl who’s the renter
A nice idea, but no spray please…I’m my own SHOPPING “SCENTER”! 👃🏻

Ok…So, show of hands…How many of you have been caught off guard by an overzealous fragrance demonstrator while out shopping? I’m sure I’m not alone. One minute you’re walking around, and the next thing you know you’re enveloped in a cloud of perfume. We had the ones who tried to corner you and make immediate eye contact, the ones who asked if you’d like a sample, but all the while spraying…and in all fairness, there were the ones who maintained a little distance and asked first before they spritzed. But I don’t think this spraying goes on much anymore. TBT, I’m not sure. It’s been forever since I’ve been in a Mall…and as a precaution, for the last umpteen years I’ve always made sure to avoid “those” entrances to the major department stores when I did visit. That’s where they’d all hang out…with those SCENTsational smiles and armed with those spritzers at the ready…

Anyway…Here we are, with our first Sunday puzzle of the month. And just as yesterday, our words are all repeats…(as is SNIPTL, from October of 2018). But we do have some very creative anagrams to work with this morning, and it was RAISIN that one of the Early Birds had some trouble FIGuring out. And again, as yesterday…we’ve Quotation Marks! Be still my heart! But wait, there’s more. Because again, as yesterday, our puzzle revolves around a Boutique and Shopping! Interesting…Anyway, without any further le pew…let’s sniff out today’s solution…

I’m pretty sure we’re in a Mall today, and this perfume boutique is one of the many carts and kiosks that are situated all through the CENTER of most malls. I guess they’re a good idea…no exorbitant rent, and much more visibility for shoppers. And what we see here today, are two friends out SHOPPING, who have stopped at the CENTER of the aisle, to sample what appears to be their favorite SCENT at “Le Pew Perfume”. Uh…need I say more? The Perfume Boutique, despite being just a “stand alone” store…is part of the Shopping Center…it’s a SHOPPING “SCENTER”! And David surely NOSE how to come up with another good one! He definitely deserves some SPRAYS!

The Gems? While there’s nothing hidden, Jeff has added a bit of whimsy. Our perfume business, is an obvious Shout Out to Looney Tunes overly aggressive romantic, Pepé Le Pew. https://tinyurl.com/mdz5jfub And the dedicated stores along the background, where we can see a woman walking holding her cell phone, read, “Fifi’s Fashions”, and “Daisy Dog’s Pet Store”, a homage to Jeff’s and David’s pet dogs. And as I mentioned above, the perfume being sprayed by the one shopper must be “loved” by the other too, since with her eyes euphorically raised, she’s spraying it directly at her friend, who’s seen smiling. But in the MIST of all this? As we see the foot of a retreating shopper, there’s the proprietor (identifiable by her name tag), spraying right out into the open…asking “while” she’s spritzing…That’s my pet peeve…but I guess she NOSE whats she’s doing….

So, There you have it, Folks…Done. Here’s hoping you have a scentsational day…Be well, stay safe…and always remember to beware of strangers bearing whiffs…👃🏻🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. 🙇🏻‍♂️ After working so hard to OPPOSE the other bidders and CLINCH the contract for the new SHOPPING CENTER, he injured himself, forcing him to wear a SPLINT…and now he felt that his arm wasn’t even USEFUL enough to ENGAGE in the task of grasping a RAISIN…🙇🏻‍♂️

🤷🏻‍♀️ The child sat her fists a’CLINCH and tried hard to ENGAGE,
Her Mother in attempts to get them both on the same page…
But Mom was still upset about the SPLINT the child threw,
Which caused the RAISIN bowl to go flying into the stew…
So now the child’s punished and she knows Mom will OPPOSE,
    Whatever she’s suggesting…nothing USEFUL she’ll propose…
‘Cause Mom is definitely fuming, and it’s best to not torment her…
She’ll now stay home while Mom gets to go to the SHOPPING CENTER…🤷🏻‍♀️

  4. Hi Everyone – The two p’s and ing ending led me to Shopping, which made finding Scent much easier. Another great song choice. Such a memorable song and voice.

    • Good Morning, Caroline. Tk you…and I agree, such a beautiful voice. Wishing you a good one. Be well and stay safe…👃🏻🙋🏻‍♀️

  5. I think my black belt in shopping definitely worked to my advantage this morning. Once I saw shopping, scenter fell nicely into place. Wishing all of you a pleasant Sunday.

    • LOL! I’m sure it did, Betty! Enjoy your day..Be well and stay safe out there…👃🏻🙋🏻‍♀️

  6. Hi all – Of the words, ENGAGE, RAISIN and SPLINT took me a few extra jumbles. SPLINT was interesting in having only one vowel in its six letters.
This was one of those days when I was glad I didn’t have to post the answer, because I never did get it. I figured the first word ended in ING, but all I could come up with for the second word was STOPPER relating to the perfume bottles and being a standalone store. The dialog didn’t tip me off to SHOPPING or SCENT, although of course it’s obvious once you see it.

    Good wishes to everyone.

  7. I got stumped by useful ,as it looked like fuel– and then after cheating on useful, and looking it up,too many letters for me to get the cartoon solution. No surprise as the Sunday puzzles w the extra anagrams and letters usually give me trouble.

  8. Nice to hear from you David. It’s cool that you are so on top of your followers and using our input as you put together Jumbles!

  9. Good afternoon. This shopping must be a girl thing because all the girls solved the cartoon answer and so far all us men failed including me. The words were simple I was able to solve them straight down without going back a second time. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe. The song choice was so enjoyable Angela that I played it a second time.

    • I’m glad you enjoyed it Paul…I replayed it a few times myself…Have a good night. Be well and stay safe out there…🙋🏻‍♀️
