  1. Good Morning, Everyone. I hope this finds you well…
    🐌 SO….HOW DO YOU SHOW A SLUG WHO’S BOSS?…AsSALT HIM! 🐌

🎶 Today I don’t feel like doing anything…I just wanna lay in my bed…Don’t feel like picking up my phone, so leave a message at the tone…’Cause today I swear I’m not doing anything… Woo, ooh, woo, ooh, ooh…Nothing at all…🎶 “The Lazy Song” – Bruno Mars 2010 https://tinyurl.com/3c4mfe8

🐌 You USHER in the summer, and you plant and beautify,
And LOGIC stands to reason that you’re wanting things to thrive
But then you come across some slugs…and things no longer SPLICE
You def don’t want a slug around with herbs you’ll use for spice…
They’re ugly and they’re slimy, in a HANGAR you’d retreat,
But since there is no hangar…you just stomp them with your feet…
Yes, slugs do make me cringe inside…they turn me rather thuggish
    It’s them or me but I’m on it…and I don’t act so SLUGGISH! 🐌

Ok..So who knew? That a Terrestrial Gastropod Mollusk… https://tinyurl.com/yyak47j7 was a slug? TBT? If it weren’t for X-Word puzzles, I probably would have gone my entire life not knowing…But let’s be honest here…All that? Three names with 27 letters to define a slug? Overkill if you ask me…And speaking of killing…Well…I’m not looking to rub SALT into a wound…but let’s just say that I’m not thrilled when I find them slinking around my garden. So as far as our puzzle goes today? I recognized the little devils immediately…and I SLID right through it…

We’ve no new words to tackle today, and all four have been seen fairly recently. GILCO, making yet another go around exactly as is, is proving to be a favorite, since I’ve managed to DIG UP numerous Gilco appearances over the years. But our other three anagrams look fresh, and are now newly PLANTED into the David Hoyt database. And none of the Early Birds had any trouble this morning SLUGging it out with our words…They were all easily UNCOVERED…and not at a SNAILs pace, may I add…

Our cartoon…Well, it pretty MULCH speaks for itself. Two slugs. One raring to go, trying to coax his tired, shy buddy out of his SHELL, but the other just too exhausted to trip the slime fantastic…He’s just feeling a bit…SLUGGISH. And that’s all she wrote. No ExtraTERRESTRIAL stuff here today…

So, There you have it, Folks…Done…and BURIED. Have a good one…Be well, stay safe…and let’s not go DIGGING UP any dirt on one another today…🐌🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🤦🏻‍♂️ He felt SLUGGISH ever since the day he’d visited the HANGAR, and today, while trying to USHER in a quicker way to SPLICE the wires, he almost fainted…realizing his LOGIC to push himself wasn’t working out all that well…🤦🏻‍♂️

🤷🏻‍♂️ So chosen as an USHER, he wonders how he’ll SPLICE,
His feelings for his ex-wife, and his needing to be nice…
She’ll be there as a bridesmaid, and LOGIC makes him see,
That even in the large HANGAR, he could run into she…
An odd place for a wedding, but his friend does love his plane,
And as he readies to get dressed, he’s hoping feelings wane…
He doesn’t want to see her, so he offers up a wish…
But all the stress, it weighs on him…now he’s feeling SLUGGISH! 🤷🏻‍♂️

  3. Good morning. Another one that was easy breezy from the words to the instant read once I put down the letters. Another first on hearing the song choice which was pleasant to listen to. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

    • Good Morning, Paul. Definitely an easy one. Hoping you’re staying well and safe too. 🐌🙋🏻‍♀️

  4. Nice easy going jumble today. Much appreciated as we are slowly being overwhelmed by the pandemic and losing our patience. We’ve been ushered in a new era!

    • You’re not alone, Christian. Wishing you the best…Be well and stay safe. 🐌🙋🏻‍♀️

  5. Hangar looked like harang to me at first, but after getting that straightened out along w the other anagrams, sluggish was a snap even for a Saturday puzzle.Due to virus concerns and the lack of vaccines,we haven’t been able to see our grandkids since Christmas, and in particular miss seeing the twins,Kate and Jane on their “stay at home day,Saturday” when we would watch them as, our son,Mark, and his wife,Hollie both work on Saturday.

    • Good Morning, Professor. Yep, definitely a snap! And we’re all feeling the strain. I haven’t seen some of my family since February…a whole year gone. It’s definitely taking a toll on us all. Just stay well, Prof…and have a good one. Keep yourself safe…and warm! 🥶🙋🏻‍♀️

  6. Easy puzzle again this morning which is a good thing since judging by Christian’s, Chuck’s and Angela’s comments we are all feeling a bit sluggish these days. I too miss seeing my family most of all. Between the pandemic and recent events nationally, I have resorted to watching “feel good” movies on the Hallmark Channel. Hang in there folks I really do believe things will get better even if it’s later rather than sooner. Courage and Hope! ❤️

    • Like living in the Twilight Zone, Betty. And Hallmark’s stock must be rising, because it’s definitely found a whole new audience. Love is always in the air there! ❤️😉. And I’m with you on the hope, Betty…it’s the courage part that I’m struggling with…Hope your morning’s going well, Betty…And stay safe out there… 😘🙋🏻‍♀️

      • Twilight Zone indeed. I keep expecting to hear Rod Serling say “We now return control of your life to you”. Like so many others, I’m a huge fan of theTwilight Zone. One of my very favorite episodes was the one with William Shatner, “Nightmare at 20,000 Feet”. It’s fun to watch the old shows because they often have actors in them such as Robert Redford who weren’t yet famous. Stay well.

  7. Hi all – Jumble meets baseball; it’s a real slugfest today. The linguistic gymnastics to avoid saying ‘slug’ made the answer obvious. I did have to jumble several times before I could see USHER. Saw the taming of the SHRUE, and SHURE, a Chicago company that made phono cartridges and styluses, but quit in 2018.

    Good wishes to everyone.

“Although the Computer History Museum near the huge HANGAR at Moffett Field had to temporarily close, the engineer turned USHER and docent managed to SPLICE together several excellent online displays of early LOGIC gates and boards for the local schools.”

    • Linguistic gymnastics, indeed! Gotta love those X-Word puzzles! 😉😂 Have a good one, Dr! Be well and stay safe out there…🐌🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. Don’t be sluggish–mankind got through the pandemic 100 years ago and we will survive this one. How quickly depends on the vaccine rollout but I have faith in entrepreneurship. Fun cartoon today and easy solutions to anagrams and puzzle. Does anyone ever name their baby ‘Anagram’?
