    Some say SUPERB, accomplishments that Musk has so far seen,
    Determined he’d INDUCT himself in fields where he seemed green…
    He’d DRENCH himself in confidence, and EQUITY he had,
    From PayPal to the Space race, Musk is like a launching pad…
    With him no VIOLIN music…it’s perfection that you’ll read..

    So it seems our Guys may be a little smitten with Elon. We’ve seen him here quite recently, October 17th https://tinyurl.com/yc8ee938 to be exact, and there’s been other mention of him throughout the years. And why not? The man is electrifying…to say the least. A tad eccentric though, if you ask me. I mean look what he’s named his latest son, born this past May to he and his partner, the Canadian musician, Grimes. They named the child “X Æ A-12”. Yep, you heard me…And no, that’s not a typo. X Æ A-12. And then a few days later, they changed his name to “X Æ A-Xii”. Yes, Folks, Elon Musk has named his son after a bar code. You got the Artificial Intelligence reference in there, you got that X variable, you got a 12 reference to their favorite aircraft, you got an “A” reference, that according to Grimes represents “Archangel,” which she described as her favorite song…You got a lot going on there. And about the change? They said Roman Numerals look better. But me? I’m thinking 2 things…1)…What do you call this kid? And 2)…I definitely see home schooling in his future. But, I digress…

    Today’s words are all products of the Archives, and it looks like LOVINI https://tinyurl.com/ycr74hdk is our only anagram being revisited. And while the Early Birds had no trouble coming up with our words, save for a very slight pause at SUPERB, the solve did DRIVE one or two of them to resort to pen and paper in order to succeed. And if the solve seems oddly familiar, it could be because just five days ago, on Tuesday 12/29, we had a puzzle that solved to “Key to Success”. That’s a lot of Success for one week…Reminds me of that old joke…What are the only 4 Keys to Success? The “S” key, the “U” key, the “C” key, and the “E” key. And on that cheeKEY note, let’s put the pedal to the metal…and TURN our attention OVER to our cartoon…

    There’s not much to pour over this morning…What you see is what you NET. And with the reporters fixated on how he’ll fare, Musk is assuring them that he’s confident in his new electric car, and in the fruits of his labor…since obviously this is no lemon he’s got here…No, this visionary is definitely DRIVEN TO SUCCEED!

    So, There you have it Folks…Done! Have a good one…Be well, stay safe and with all the controversy always surrounding Elon, I sometimes feel maybe we should give him a BRAKE. I mean all the constant ELON-GATE talk is a bit of a STRETCH, don’t you think?…(Well, the name thing notwithstanding…I’m sorry, but that little MUSKeteer’s name just DRIVES me crazy)! But Elon’s probably a really nice person, with feelings. I mean Tesla does make E-MOTIONal cars, right? And he did lower the price on the flagship sedan, the Model S this past October…It’s now only $69,420…Which prompted the joke…”Musk is so rich, he should sell some of his Tesla’s for 5¢…They’d be a “NICKLE-A-TESLA”…And yes, with that I’m DRIVEN to leave…🚗🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. 🎻 Being DRIVEN TO SUCCEED, he needed them to INDUCT him into the SUPERB VIOLIN group, “The ENZYME Sublime”, and knowing it would call for him to invest a good portion of EQUITY, he was willing to DRENCH some of his holdings to do so…🎻

    💦 The storm had caused his house to DRENCH, and now he’d need to spend,
    Some money that he didn’t have, EQUITY at an end…
    The water started pouring in…and he thought of ENZYME,
    Or was he wrong about that…was it mold or maybe lime?
    He needed to INDUCT some better ways into his life,
    What once was a SUPERB home now gave him nothing but strife…
    He saw some water dripping where his VILOIN was placed,
    And realized that the house had sadly turned into disgrace
    Repairs have to be dealt with, and the time has come for speed…

    I laughed at your homeschooling line and the name of Musk’s son, Angela.
    This was an easy Sunday for me except for thinking at first the last two words would be “of himself.”

  6. Good morning. Somehow I lost what I was about to send so it’s back to square 1. I felt like I won the lottery because I was stuck on words 2 &3 and put it aside to look at the cartoon answer. This was a blind solve. After checking with the letters from the ones I got I realized my answer was correct if I got RNSEE from the two outstanding words. It was easy once knowing the letters I needed. Therefore I picked both words as equally hard. Now it’s time to read what everybody else said. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

  7. Hi all – I had good luck with the words today – just hesitated at DRENCH. Given the electric car I thought the answer might be WIRED TO SUCCEED, but soon saw the correct first word.

    At first glance, I thought it was Dracula in the driver’s seat. Must be that slight “widow’s peak” in the hairline and the dark clothes giving the Bela Lugosi vibe.

    Angela, the two things that name made me wonder were, what’s his nickname, and seeing it written at the top of a spelling test would be ironic.

  10. Missed ENZYME but the rest was like gliding in an electric vehicle. Longer anagrams are usually easier for me and today was no exception. New Year is off to a fine start! Hope your weekend is going great and see you all tomorrow……
