As any die-hard Jumble fan knows, this isn’t the first time David’s scent us to the City Landfill. We’ve definitely bin here before…But it is always fun filling in puzzles of this sort, so there won’t be any trash talking here…I’ll just get on with this recycled theme…
Today: All old words, all new anagrams. And it was only CONFER that caused a bit of discussion. But the solve? No time wasted there…The Early Birds had no trouble at all filling it in…
So, as I mentioned earlier, here in Jumbleland we’re no strangers to the City Landfill. And once again today, we’re seeing one that’s filled to the grim…So what’s our Environmental Engineers to do? REFUSE THE REFUSE! Literally! And it’s another puzzle in the bag!
Eye candy? Ok, here’s the deal. The site that I always use to see all those fine little details? It’s still showing yesterday’s puzzle. Rubbish, I say! And you know how I refuse to give you guys information that’s not up to sniff…So I’m just going to mention that there’s dice hanging from the rear-view mirror, and I can pick up on a bicycle tire in the truck…But that’s about it. So as soon as I can get a look at a larger picture, I’ll be back to fill you in…Especially since there’s an opened box in the truck that’s definitely piqued my interest…But in the meantime, I’ll leave you with a bit of trash-related humor…What kind of training does one need to become a garbage collector?…None, you just pick it up as you go along…I know, I know…it stinks!

The cartoon answer ,refuse refuse was a given,but confer looked too much like enforce,for me to be able to unscramble it.Guess it’s a Friday,not a Monday puzzle,given the Pandemic, “It is Friday,isn’t it?”

Ok, so the puzzle’s up, and I got to take a look. That opened box I spoke of earlier? Nothing to report…I guess we can say it was a waste of time waiting…But one thing I do notice…I’m surprised that the two employees aren’t wearing hard hats and a bit more of protective clothing. Three garbage birds are visible…two in flight…one perched atop one of the piles…IDK…You’d think these guys wouldn’t be so gullible as to what could happen…🦅 🙋🏻♀️
Had to back into confer. I keep seeing enforce. Cartoon answer was a breeze though so all in all it was a good day. Stay well all.

Hi all – An easy Friday puzzle with the double letter trick for FUSSY and CREEK and the ‘UN’ trick for UNSURE. I tried a couple of variations of FORCE before seeing CONFER, and then the answer was pretty obvious.

Like Chuck and Betty I saw ENFORCE, alas too many letters! When looking at the Jumble the words sometimes just jump out at you…….. I admire the construction of this solution and wonder if the second REFUSE is pronounced differently than the first (I think so). On an entirely different subject, how is it our ‘leaders’ can operate so differently from the rules they make for us; I guess the answer is simply they CAN!!!
