Good Morning, Everyone I hope this finds you well…
🎶 Yeah, I’m changin’ fast…You’ll put it all in my past…No more running around…I’m finally FIT TO BE TIED down…Feel like I’m FIT TO BE TIED down…🎶…”Fit To Be Tied Down” – Conway Twitty. 1990 https://tinyurl.com/y24et42h
👔 She heard him grumbling, sounds did DRIFT, she went to ask him why,
And found him in a lousy mood…and all over a tie…
Each DIGIT of his hands ran through the mess within his drawer,
And she was not EXEMPT from his displeasing repertoire…
She wanted to remind him that he should be hanging ties,
But knew he’d just OBJECT again…Why? She could not surmise
So here he stands growing irate…and she thinks…should I chide?
Maybe not now…but later…when he’s not FIT TO BE TIED! 👔
…She probably wants to tell him to put a sock in it…but you know how it is with the TIES that bind, right?…Sometimes you just have to go with what best SUITs the situation, and not stick your NECK out…Especially if your mate’s really angry…Who needs to deal with a TIErant, am I right? … Anyway, todays award for the best adDRESSed?.. What’d ya know…It’s a TIE! David and Jeff give us another winner! FIT TO BE TIED! https://tinyurl.com/y242mlun
And I’ll leave you with a little Neckwear humor..A man wearing a tie clip walks into a bar. The bartender says…”Sorry, we don’t like your TIE pin here”! Hmm…Ok..ASCOT to go…Be well, Everyone…and stay safe out there. 👔🙋🏻♀️
…And continued thoughts and prayers to our neighbors on the Gulf and West Coasts…🙏🏻
⚾️ Despite every Baseball OBJECT his son had, he still badly wanted the Aaron Judge foam DIGIT gavel…so he was FIT TO BE TIED when after standing in line for 20 minutes, a guy jumped in front of him buying the last one…and he turned to his friend and said…“Even here I’m not EXEMPT from aggravation…do you get my DRIFT”? ⚾️
🤷🏻♂️ He thought he’d be EXEMPT from all the questions and the grief,
He wanted to OBJECT and say he really had a beef…
But then he saw his boss DRIFT by and thought to hold his tongue,
The boss held up a DIGIT…as he turned with shoulders swung
So now he’s thinking…“What the heck”? And feeling crucified…
He needs to get himself in check…though he’s FIT TO BE TIED! 🤷🏻♂️
Good morning. Another Monday jumble on a Thursday. No problem with the words and the cartoon answer was a blind solve. First time hearing that song by Conway Twitty. Was that the B side to one of his hits.? With that joke I thought I heard a Mike drop to the floor Angela. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.
Good Morning, Brooklyn…LOL! 😂😂 Yeah, definitely a mic 🎤 dropper! When I make myself laugh…I know it’s a groaner! 😂🤦🏻♀️ As for the song…it was released as a single after he included it on a Greatest Hits album…Ok song, but not one of his best, IMO. And yes, the puzzle was wayyyy too easy. Have a good one, Paul. Be well and stay safe out there. 👔🙋🏻♀️
DIGIT – Last used on 3/19/20 (GITDI)

Super easy puzzle today. Have a good one all.
All four answers end in a T. I wonder if that’s a first?
Agree wholeheartedly ,anagrams and cartoon solution were a quick and immediate solve.Definitely a Monday level Jumble on a Thursday.
Hi all – Talk about an easy Monday-like puzzle – I think I set a personal best. The entire thing took me 9 seconds. I’ll save that memory for the next time I have to give up on an answer.
Good wishes to everyone.
Thanks for jogging my memory again Angela (it’s the only exercise I get these days). The man was ahead of his time – can you imagine Conway Twitty tweeting on Twitter? (I just looked up his real name – Harold Lloyd Jenkins). I certainly remember his #1 hit, “It’s Only Make-Believe.”
“In the lottery that would EXEMPT the winner from paying taxes for life, he saw the ping-pong ball with the winning DIGIT DRIFT by, but had no way to OBJECT when it fell in the wrong slot.”
Hey Steve…That name. You know how it came about, right? Thinking his own name wasn’t catchy enough, he looked at a road map and picked Conway, Arkansas, and Twitty, Texas, and voila! The name Conway Twitty was born…As for his music? You know how it is with Country Music. 90% of the time you can hear your heart cry…For me? It’s 🎶Hello, Darlin’🎶. https://tinyurl.com/y4zubtzq …From the very first time I ever heard it…In fact, TBT? ‘Til this day…a man says “Hello, Darlin’” to me? It’s curtains…I’d follow him anywhere! 😉 Have a good one, Steve. Be well and stay safe out there. 👔🙋🏻♀️
Conway Twitty was quite witty, as are you Angela with your ‘dad’ joke! Although OBJECT and EXEMPT briefly slowed me down. A good fish cooking answer could be ‘FIT TO BE FRIED” but save that for another Monday Jumble.
Got the flu shot yesterday and you all should as well. Still ugly air here in beautiful downtown Burbank but the repatriation orders are going out for some of the fire ravaged neighborhoods. Hope the arsonists and homeless give up on their dirty deeds.
Embrace the day!
I don’t know if he was witty, but he sure had a way with words. That drawl was pure sugar…And thanks for the Shout Out…but for the record, we’re calling them Mom jokes these days. There’s just no room for misogyny anymore! 😉 Thanks too for TROUTing out your Fish pun…I like it…And I like how you don’t FLOUNDER around and try to just SKATE by…Maybe we should collaborate some time…let MINNOW…😉 And I’m glad things are improving. It’s been a tough one for you guys…Be well, Mig. And stay safe out there. 👔🙋🏻♀️
Not to seem fossilized but I get no stimulus from Limulus. I won’t miss misogyny but cannot support primacy of any of the sexes. I find the shrimp of Brine to be sublime but not piranha mouthed fish of the north!
ROTFL! 👏🏻👏🏻! At least you’re not a CRABby man! 😉🙋🏻♀️
Limulus: the Living Fossil (not to be confused with Mig).
GNEISS! 😉🙋🏻♀️
The people who post here are certainly great punsters. I appreciate the laughs; fewer around lately.
And the (only two so far) old jumbles I’ve seen seem very simple and straightforward by comparison. I love puns, so the newer jumbles are much more my style. The ones so far this week have really been easy, though.
Hi Sandy. Todays puzzles are definitely a lot more fun…thanks to the remarkable talent of David and Jeff. And yes, it has been an easy week. But a good one! Have a good night, Sandy. Be well and stay safe out there. 👔🙋🏻♀️
**HI EVERYONE **I meant to post this earlier in the week, but unfortunately I forgot. But it’s not too late…To those of you who may not follow David on Facebook, I’d like to make you aware of a Zoom Event that he’s hosting this Saturday, the 26th. Here’s the link to his post, and he said he’d be glad to hear from any and all puzzle enthusiasts…
So, should you be interested…please E-mail Claire Haasl at claire@davidlhoytfoundation.org to register for the event…
Enjoy! 🙋🏻♀️
