  1. Good Morning, Everyone…I hope this finds you well…🔢 🙋🏻‍♀️

🎶 ONE can have a dream, Baby..,TWO can make that dream so real…ONE can talk about bein’ in love…TWO can say how it really feels…It takes TWO, Baby, It takes TWO, Baby…Me and you, just takes TWO…🎶…”It Takes Two” – Marvin Gaye and Kim Weston 1965 https://tinyurl.com/y5awzcdm

🔢 When kids learn to add Numbers, it’s like a game of RUMMY,
I like to use some pictures though…Like cupcakes looking yummy…
Just as a CENSUS adds us Folks, we hope that they can see,
How putting one and two together’s gonna give them three…
The basic rules can be quite BLUNT, but if we make it fun,
Those little minds can grasp it all and learning has begun….
We’ll teach them how things add up, we give them each a journal,
And ‘fore we know it we can see that hope will SPRING eternal…
So right now though confusion looms, we see it, his and hers
A little repetition and they’ll def get SUM NUMBERS 🔢

  2. ♦️♣️The Blackjack player sat thinking of the CENSUS, but drinking too much, he hoped he wouldn’t give himself away, until a Pit Boss walked over and said…”I hate to SPRING this on you, but to be BLUNT, you’re too much of a RUMMY to be cool…and it’s obvious you’re counting SUM NUMBERS…” ♠️♥️

🔢 With winter ending he had hoped that maybe there’d be SPRING,
But Mother Nature can be BLUNT and hot weather she’d bring
The CENSUS taker schlepped around, his mind on last nights game,
He lost five hands of RUMMY and he realized he was lame
The loss of money made him sweat, he laughed…did it infer…
The irony that he was working …hot, with SUM NUMBERS? 🔢

  3. Easiest Jumble day for this retired math prof, with a math related puzzle, that resulted in an obvious quick solve of the anagrams, and a blind solve of the cartoon,’sum’ numbers solution.

  4. Census didn’t add up for me. The sum of the integers gave me a solution, “sum” numbers which would have multiplied my consternation without the quotation marks……… Not terribly hard today but fun nonetheless.

  5. Hi all – The UN trick didn’t work on the last word, but I saw CENSUS on the second jumble after writing down the letters – a very timely word, too!
SUM was obvious and I thought PROBLEMS or QUESTIONS, but then saw that NUMBERS fit.

    Good wishes to everyone.

I particularly liked your poem today Angela. It scanned so smoothly, and the description of teaching kids math was heartwarming.
Your song also reminded me of another I hadn’t thought about in a long time – “What’s Easy For Two is Hard For One”, which turns out to have been a Motown hit for Mary Wells (“My Guy”), written by Smokey Robinson.

“Her afternoon RUMMY games were usually prim and proper, but she got BLUNT about her feelings when a CENSUS of her playing partners found nobody willing to SPRING for a new deck of cards.”

    • Hey Steve…Thank you! Hope you’re enjoying your night… Be well…stay safe. 🤷🏻‍♀️
