Good morning. No problem with either the words or cartoon answer. After putting down the letters the answer was clear. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.
This is a strange one, as “sunk” is more associated with marine interests than with golf. Perhaps they mean a water pit on a golf course. So of course, there are many shadow solutions. These include SEW HAS SUNK, SHE SAW SUNK, KEN HAS WUSS, and SHEW SUN SKA, meaning to teach someone named Sun how to dance a Jamaican dance. But the cookiest shadow solution is WAS SHE SUNK? Did they want a statement or a question? To me this is as reasonable as the intended answer.
TIGNOHN RSNAGTE OTUBA TI! It’s lights out for our girl…After that STROKE of luck her opponent had? SHE WAS SUNK! https://tinyurl.com/yy6szkta. Be well, Jim…and stay safe out there…🏌🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️
Good Morning, Everyone. I hope this finds you well…🙋🏻♀️
🇺🇸 Noticing the tear at the HOIST of the flag, resembling a WOUND, she placed it in a BASKET and hoped she’d find someone willing to repair it, sans SALARY…if not, SHE WAS SUNK…🇺🇸
📚 As she went to HOIST the pile of books, not realizing its weight,
She dropped them all onto the floor and damaged the agate,
By now her nerves were WOUND so tight, she knew this wouldn’t do,
She’d just end up a BASKET case…she’s definitely through…
Her SALARY so paltry…the benefits subpar,
This job just wasn’t worth it…despite the company car…
Whatever she had thought it was, proved now to be all bunk,
She’s giving notice by days end, not caring SHE WAS SUNK…📚
I am 73 today and this Jumble was my present, no problemo! On to the Masters….
Have a very Happy Birthday, Mig! 🎂 🎁 🎈
Cento Anni, Mig! Have a wonderful day! 🎈🙋🏻♀️
Good Morning.
In this case, is WOUND a Noun or a Verb.?
She had a WOUND to her right shoulder, which made it painful to HOIST her driver through her
swing. She was a real BASKET case during this Charity event. But, being a L.P.G.A champion she had a good SALARY from Sponsors. However in this tournament SHE WAS SUNK. FORE!!!
Hi all – Paused at BASKET after seeing BEAST. The answer was obviously SHE WAS something, but I had to write the letters to see SUNK.
The cartoon’s sort of reminiscent of the recent PGA event in San Francisco where it was the long drive on 16 that set up the eagle putt.
Good wishes to everyone.
You were right Angela; I shouldn’t have joked about fire and brimstone. Now expecting the brimstone delivery tomorrow. We’re safe, but the air was smoky most of yesterday and still smells as if someone was using a fireplace next door.
“The helicopter team earned their SALARY when they WOUND the patient’s rescue BASKET aboard using a tricky HOIST maneuver.”
I wish I weren’t..Lately it seems like all our nervous attempts at humor fall flat. Unfortunately, there’s not much to joke about. Estimating 300 fires burning? SMH…My heart goes out to the Californians…they’re dealing with a lot. Be well, Steve…and stay safe out there. 😪🙋🏻♀️
I just heard the same thing from Denver – at least 4 big uncontained fires, bad air quality, 5 days over 90°.
