Good morning. Enjoyed today’s jumble. I had a slight pause on everything. Nothing was an instant solve. After writing down the letters and looking at the picture for a minute my first answer proved to be right. No back end of the horse’s trophy for me on this one. I didn’t even worry about being on the green with the golf cart. Until tomorrow stay well.
Good Morning, Everyone…With most of us waking up to terribly stormy weather, I hope you are all well. And while the whimsy of the Signature Sinking Sailboat may have been missing from yesterday’s puzzle, today we do have one spectator, the man at forefront left, wearing a cap with the Signature “J” for Jumble encircled within a square. A tiny bit of normalcy in this chaos we seem to be dealing with…The puzzle, cute and clever as always, was a breeze…And here’s to our day following suit…Be well, Everyone…and stay safe out there…🏌🏻♂️🙋🏻♀️
💦🌪 Remembering how the last storm raged IN FULL SWING, damaging the aluminum SIDING on the house so badly that it looked like a dented FUNNEL, he had to laugh…because back then he and his wife lived there still UNWED, and his parents constantly bugged him about making it LEGAL…🌪💦
💸💸 The rules were so outdated, they doubted it was LEGAL,
A silly little contest…I mean this was nothing regal…
Why must the pairs be married? Were they barred because UNWED?
It just seemed so ridiculous…As they and others said…
What really should be looked into was money…Did it FUNNEL
Into the chairman’s SIDING schemes? ..for sure there was a tunnel…
Into which he was siphoning the fees from all these Folks,
His righteousness a joke for sure…the guy’s pulling a hoax…
They needed to investigate, maybe some charges bring…
Before these rules are finalized…before it’s IN FULL SWING…💸💸
Being married for 62 years , unwed didn’t come to me naturally.

Being my golf day,the anagrams and cartoon solution were a quick Monday like solve.Even though I’ve been married 50+ years,to the same woman no less,unwed was a quick solve.We’re in a cool,if not cold spell,with the AC off and windows open.

Hi all – Just a pause at UNWED, but the UN trick showed it. Ever since I said I had more trouble with the 6 letter words, it’s the 5’s that have been slowing me down, of course. Speaking of COURSE, I thought that the answer would be BACK ON COURSE or RIGHT ON COURSE, but the letters didn’t cooperate. Writing them down showed the answer.
Funny to see FUNNEL after the long discussion of FENNEL here recently.
I like how the obnoxious guy shouting shows himself to be completely clueless, since the ball’s just barely over the water hazard and nowhere the green.
Speaking of clueless, you can explain to me – did the golfer make a divot and break a tee while teeing off? That can’t be good, right?
I don’t follow golf much, but the subject is very appropriate here since the Jumble and Sporting Green are in the same section of the Chronicle, and the PGA Championship is being played this week at Harding Park in San Francisco (without fans).
Good wishes to everyone, especially Mike, Angela, Caroline and anyone else in the path of the storm. May it pass quickly (as predicted).
