Good Morning, Everyone. I hope this finds you well…🛳🙋🏻♀️
🎶 You got me GOING IN CIRCLES…Oh round and round I go…You got me going in circles…Oh ROUND and ROUND I go, I’m spun out over you)…🎶 “You Got Me Going In Circles” – The Friends of Distinction 1969 https://tinyurl.com/y9nasznh
🛳 We’ve often seen Magellan, but today we’re in a class,
The kids a little SHAKY on details, but than alas…
The teacher seems ok with it, her nose not out of JOINT,
I guess she feels they need more time to fully get the point…
A good teacher is flexible, not ABRUPT when she is teaching,
No need for getting BITTER…not the way to young minds reaching
And since Magellan‘s story really isn’t all that great…
She’s patient with her students…knowing soon that they’ll THINK “STRAIT”🛳
Magellan seems to be a favorite character of David’s…HIS STORY has SAILED through many a past puzzle…I found him to be the theme on 11/20/11, 01/25/13, 03/24/16, 09/09/18, and lastly on 04/05/19…and that’s without a real in-DEPTH SEARCH…And the word STRAIT itself has been mentioned in the last three…Hmm…So maybe David’s not really a fan of Magellan? Maybe he just likes to be FARED STRAIT? https://tinyurl.com/y799uxct
And I’ll leave you with a little STRAIT humor..I tried wearing a strait jacket once…but I really couldn’t pull it off..🤦🏻♀️ Yea, I know…I’m groaning too…
Wishing you all a great day…Be well, and stay safe out there…🛳🙋🏻♀️
🚬 The teens hand was SHAKY as he raised the BITTER-smelling JOINT to his lips, but things came to an ABRUPT ending when his Mother entered the garage…and he quickly needed to THINK STRAIT…🚬
👨🏻🦯 He had the worst pain in his hip, the JOINT was out of whack,
His walking became SHAKY as the pain rose to his back…
He came to an ABRUPT stop when he felt a BITTER sting,
There’s no way he could go on without checking out this thing…
He’d hoped to wait ‘till next week, but now knew he shouldn’t wait…
The pain grew ever stronger…common sense told him THINK STRAIT…👨🏻🦯
No problem w the anagrams, and strait was an obvious choice for one of the words, though with the presence of an H,I was thinking straight instead of strait at first.A rainy stormy day so far in WCentral Illinois.
HI Everyone – Again I had to back into a word. This time it was Abrupt. Luckily the answer was another easy one, at least for those familiar with Magellan.
Good morning. My choice for hardest word was Abrupt. It was a slow discovery to finally nail that one. At first I was stuck on the cartoon answer especially seeing the second word in quotation marks but I decided to stick with it. After a short while I got the first word then the dreaded quotation word. Wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. Loved your post Angela. I see I have a lot of homework to check out after I finish this. Until tomorrow stay well. I’m looking into this empty glass bowl of cereal and I don’t see a gig for you anytime soon at Comedy Central. I’m sorry to be bearer of bad tidings. Oh well, we love 💕 you just where you are.
Of course it wasn’t as hard as you thought…you just needed to THINK about it! 😉 And you needed to take my advice with the dialogue….The clues are always FLOATING aROUND in there…That first word?….The first student asking, after she’s questioned..,”Is it something like that”? She’s THINKing…and the second student saying…”That’s what I THOUGHT”. Another deep THINKer…MAPPED out right there! And another good hint, a visual one, was the first girl seen raising her finger up to her chin…that classic “thinking” maneuver..🤔…And as far as STRAIT goes…well, quotes or KNOT, as Caroline said, you did need to be familiar with Magellan…But…Wait a minute…WATER mean I’d never make it to Comedy Central? Ask anybody…I’ve always been such a STAND UP girl!!! 😂😂 Thanks, Brooklyn…And I feel 💕 the same about you! Be well, Paul…and stay safe out there…🛳🙋🏻♀️
RIP, Carl Reiner. They don’t make ‘em like you anymore. God speed. 💔
Amen, Angela…
Yea, Chuck. Definitely one of the great ones.💔
Hi all – A quick pause at SHAKY; then the double letter trick showed BITTER. I’ve seen ABRUPT often enough to recognize it, especially if the AB is given. The answer was obvious.
I love the straitjacket joke Angela; hadn’t heard that one.
Sorry to hear about Carl Reiner also – a true classic.
Good wishes to everyone.
“A BITTER taste in his drink caused his ABRUPT exit from the SHAKY JOINT.”
Ah, you know what they say…if the straight jacket fits…😉 Have a good one, Steve. Be well and wear your mask! 😉🙋🏻♀️
Got all the anagrams and cartoon answer strait away this morning. I’ve been tripped up by abrupt in the past but got it today. Wishing all of you a good day.

Anyway, these are the last three puzzles where “STRAIT” was part of the solve, but..I was only able to come up with cartoons for the last two…I really need to get my files STRAITened out! It’s a SPAIN, but it definitely needs to be done…I too often feel that I’m just going aROUND in circles! A definite case of Dire STRAITS!
