  1. Good morning. The words were easy as was the case for this whole week. But I failed on the clever cartoon answer. I drew a blank and looked up all the words that could be made from the letters. It was a matter of picking the right 7 letter word first. Once I checked the remaining letters on my own I came up with Stern for the brilliant finish. The answer was there in the picture but I couldn’t see it in the thick fog. Oh wait, the picture is clear it’s just my glasses that needs to be clean. Until tomorrow stay well.

    • LOL…Yeah, it’s always the glasses, right! 😉 Good Morning, Brooklyn! Have a good one. Be well, stay safe…🚤🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. My paper messed up.Instead of today’s puzzle,I have a 2019 puzzle w anagram solutions, cigar, think, global(which I recall ) and online ,with a King Arthur round table related cartoon,w a solution that has me stumped. Can you possibly look it up?
Cartoon solution is 3 letters-8 letters in quotes .
    Letters were
    Cigar I,a,r
    Think t,h,k
    Global g,l
    Online l,n,e

  3. Good MOORning Everyone…I hope this finds you well….🚤

🎶Rock the boat…Don’t tip the boat over…Rock the boat…Don’t rock the boat, Baby…Rock the boat…🎶 “ Rock The Boat” – The Hues Corporation 1973 https://tinyurl.com/kznas8r

🚤 I think unless you fish or sail and deal with sea and boats,
Today’s solution may be tough..despite the lack of quotes…
You might go through all innings…yep, the NINTH might take its toll,
And of course we look to GOVERN…so the solving is our goal
The back of a boat is a Stern, the front is called the Bow,
But please don’t think of ribbon…it’s pronounced as the word “how”
…And here we have these little kids, acting up in a SWIRL,
    That rope’s in the propeller…and it’s giving it a twirl…
    But I don’t think they’ll WEASEL out…despite the hem and hawing…
    Don’t rock the boat…a mantra of…many a true STERN WARNING! 🚤

The worst thing about over-sleeping, is that you then seem to spend the whole day treading water…And, so I am…But I’ll dive right in and offer this abridged version of today’s puzzle…With two repeat anagrams, TINNH from 2017, and SAWLEE, from last year, we have four excellent words to work with this morning. And it was GOVERN that left 3 of the Early Birds in its wake…

Our cartoon is giving us a boat, dockside, about to set sail…Once Mom unhooks the rope that according to our dialogue has again gotten caught up in the propeller. Seems like we’re dealing with some nauty kids here…And despite them being contrite…it looks like Mom has reached the end of her rope…and she’s giving them a STERN WARNING…Sea what David did there? With the STERN? The back of the boat? https://tinyurl.com/ya9klbwp Ferry witty, right?

And the eye candy? We can see another boat out on the water, with three passengers. And if you look real closely, right between the dock and the little girls foot, there’s Three Little Fishes…. https://tinyurl.com/y7wp6xfb…But I’ll tell you what really caught my eye…The kids aren’t wearing life jackets. REELy? Now that’s definitely a topic for debait…So, there you have it Folks, Done. Wishing you all clear sailing…Be well, and stay safe…🚤🙋🏻‍♀️

  4. 👨🏻‍⚖️As the NINTH District Court convened, rumors began to SWIRL as to who would be nominated to GOVERN the ward…but three of the pages were sanctioned with a STERN WARNING when they were overheard referring to a nominee as a WEASEL. 👨🏻‍⚖️

🐀 He kept a brown pet WEASEL, that would SWIRL within its cage
But the woman that he dated said ..”We’re not on the same page…
“I know this home belongs to you…and GOVERN it you do,
But the weasel in the house? Uh uh…I cannot stay with you…”
So on the NINTH week since they met…she left him all forlorning…
I guess he should have listened when she gave him that STERN WARNING! 🐀

  5. Hi all – Another instant solve today. “Back of the boat” gave me STERN and the answer.
I didn’t notice the lack of life jackets, but I thought that getting the rope caught in the propeller was the least of their concerns – I was much more worried about the bare feet right close to the blades!
Thanks for pointing out our favorite three little fishies.

    Good wishes to everyone.

We’re on the same PAGE for the court, Angela:
“Amidst a SWIRL of appeals to decide, the NINTH Circuit Court declined to rule on which agency could GOVERN keeping a pet WEASEL.”

    • Hey Steve…The Three Little Fishes! 🐠🐟🐠! Gotta love it! 😉 And good call on the feet and the blades…although the engine wasn’t turned over, and she REELy wasn’t that close. And yes, you’re KNOT kidding with us being on the same PAGE! In fact not just the court…You got my pet Weasel in there too…One from column A…One from Column B! 😉 I guess it stands to reason that SCHOONER or later we’d be SEAing things AYE to AYE! 😉 Have a good one, Steve. Be well, stay safe. 🚤🙋🏻‍♀️

      • I just went online to look at the three little fishies, and I noticed that the keys are sitting right in the ignition, so I’m even more freaked out!

        • Why? 🤷🏻‍♀️We always have the keys in the ignition while on board. I think most people do. What’s TURNing you OFF about it? The kids? They’re no where near there….and they’re not babies…🙋🏻‍♀️

  6. Another successful day. No problems with the anagrams and once I saw stern, warning was obvious. I too was concerned about those little feet so close to the propeller blades. And, yes, where are their life vests? Maybe Mama is the one who needs the stern warning. Happy Friday all.

    • I hear ya, Betty. Mom is proving to be pretty ditzSEA here! 😉 Have a good one. Be well, stay safe. 🚤🙋🏻‍♀️

        • LOL! Want to know why? Comes easy to me…Since not a day goes by where somebody doesn’t address me as such! 😂 But you know me…I don’t make WAVES! Every knock’s a boost in my book! 🚤🙋🏻‍♀️
