  1. Good morning. Hope everyone is doing fine. Taking a song from Gene Autry, I’m back in the saddle again. No problem with either the words or cartoon answer. There was a slight pause on the word unfair but nothing to make it number one. Once I looked at the letters for the cartoon answer it was close to an instant read. Until tomorrow stay well.

  2. (I tried to post this earlier and it wanted me to sign back in and I’m not 100% certain it posted. Just ignore this one if my original one posted.)

I made you a video. Click the link and the video will begin to play “INGEST” A MOMENT!

    • There’s no accounting for taste!
🎵”Well it’s all right now; I’ve learned my lesson well
You know you can’t please everyone
So you got to please yourself.”🎵 (Rick Nelson, “Garden Party”)
PS – Nice scrabble poster in the background!

      • I loved your Ricky Nelson Garden Party reference. It brought back fond memories of my younger, now deceased brother, who was a big Ricky Nelson fan.Ricky got his singing start impersonating Elvis Presley,on his parents,”Ozzie and Harriet” TV show.

      • Thank you Chuck. Same here for me and my 6-year older late brother. Rick was as handsome as Elvis and grew up to be much more than just a pretty face on a TV show as well.

    • Good evening. Thank you David for your feed back. I never realized that you try to put so much into your answer. Angela explained it to me very good yesterday. She loved it and actually made me appreciate it better. For that reason I recant my remark. Steve had the perfect song for you. You really can’t please everybody. That’s what makes life interesting otherwise it would be dull. Take care.

  3. Easy time of it today. No problem with the words or cartoon answer. Though yesterday’s cartoon answer stumped me completely, David, I’m not complaining, I thought it was a great play on words I just couldn’t figure it out. I look forward to the Jumble every day, especially these days. Stay well and thank you.

  4. Hi all – UNFAIR would have taken me longer, but the ‘UN’ trick let me solve it quickly. Likewise putting Y at the end which helped me see CRANK for the rest.
I had to get the answer word by word. Seemed that the middle had to be FOR which led to CAUSE and finally ALARM.

I guess today’s challenge is to identify the newspaper the guy’s holding from the masthead. All you can see is “Times”, but the font doesn’t match either the LA Times or Chicago Sun-Times. There’s also a story on its front page that says “Jumble Wins Award” with a picture of Jeff and David holding what looks like the NBA trophy.

    Good wishes to all.

“He wasn’t CRANKY about the small amount of MONEY he made in his SALAD days or prone to think it had been UNFAIR to him or any CAUSE FOR ALARM, because the experiences he gained back then were priceless.”

Betty, here’s the SF scene you were imagining – drone footage of The City shut down:

    • Thanks for sending that link, Steve. That pretty much says it all. I have never seen the city as it is now. That being said I am impressed and encouraged that our Bay Area Mayors and County Health Officers all worked in tandem to try to protect us as best they can. The S.F. City Flag has a Phoenix on it. We will hopefully rise again, as we have in the past. Hope all of you in Oakland are doing okay, ❤️

      • Thanks Betty, so far so good. I had a productive “senior-shopping” morning – even scored a pack of toilet paper! (What am I bid…😂)
Nice note on the Phoenix, and I share your gratitude that our local officials seem to be doing everything they can based on scientific facts and sound medical advice.
