We bring forth thanks for all we have and all things we are able…
We may not have that fancy YACHT, and sometimes MAYHEM rules,
But friends and family we have, and those are life’s true jewels…
So let us do our best today to walk the in-between,
Let nothing come between us, let’s put forth our brightest SHEEN…
Let’s PACIFY our opposites, and cherish loved one close,
And pray that no one drinks too much and gets way too verbose…
Let’s celebrate our blessings…let’s enjoy turkey and ham…
And may we all when night draws nigh, say…Happy? YES I “YAM”! 🦃

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. Among the many reasons I have to give thanks, the Jumble is somewhere on the list. It gives me a distraction from the humdrum of everyday “tasks”.

I think David and Jeff went easy on us this holiday with the answer, though not the words. I had to back into pacify. I laughed at your “baste” song choice, Angela, and once again smiled at the jokes in the voting box, as Steve has pointed out. Wishing all a Happy Thanksgiving and safe travels.
Agree the answer,”Yes I Yam” was a given,but I confused sheen with hence,so I had trouble coming up w the e for yes.Our daughter and grandson ,the budding chef,prepared the turkey w stuffing and had it in the oven by 8:15 for the expected 5 hrs of cooking time.Years ago,my mother preheated the oven for the turkey only to learn the oven heating element had failed .Lukily the neighbor let her cook ours over there,after their’s was done.Have a Happy and Blessed Thnksgiving.
One comic strip yesterday showed a woman about to put a turkey in the pre-heated oven, only to realize (as apparently happens every year) that she forgot to remove the top rack, and has to dump it in the bathtub to cool off: https://tinyurl.com/BCNGeoriaDunn

Hi all – Easy one today after I just happened to recognize YACHT, and by coincidence, I’d just used the word SHEEN in a comment yesterday. The answer was quick in part because the cartoon had a bag of yams just the other day.
I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving. Thanks again to Mike for creating this space for us, Angela for all the hard work, and all of you whose comments I enjoy every day of the year.
