Good Morning, Everyone! 📽 HOORAY FOR HOLLYWOOD! 📽

🎶 HOORAY FOR HOLLYWOOD...Where you’re terrific, if you’re even good, Where anyone at all from TV’s Lassie, to Monroe’s chassis is equally understood…Go out and try your luck, you might be Donald Duck…HOORAY FOR HOLLYWOOD…🎶 “Hooray for Hollywood” – Miss Doris Day 1958

📽 A Star is such a special thing…we learned that in our youth
A teacher gave out tiny ones…We yearned for them forsooth…
We felt smart like a WIZARD and we’d think..”I must, I must…
IMPOSE upon myself hard work to get a Star, I trust…”
So these Stars seem quite natural, awarded to the best,
It’s not UNJUST imagining recipients passed the test…
From starring in a role whereby a TYRANT ruled the screen,
Or maybe like Tom Hanks an Island HERMIT helped him glean…
And once a Star is given, nothing can make it EXPIRE,
Their status stays intact no matter what else may transpire…
And tourists like those we see here travel from near and far,
To look upon these names that remain WRITTEN IN THE STARS!📽

So, which of our words will be the STAR today? All old favorites, they’ve played a ROLE in many a puzzle over the years…and this morning we go as far back as 2011…Starting with TOP BILLING…UNJUST, ran from 2014, right up until 09/20/18. HERMIT, comes in as our most recent, having been seen on 01/13/2019. EXPIRE last played on 10/20/18, and WIZARD, 09/20/18. IMPOSE, with an impressive 10th appearance, gets the nod for not only our most often seen, but also comes in as our oldest, going back to 11/06/11, and TYRANT last starred on 07/31/16. And doing just a quick count, it looks like our words today have been in play at least 30 times….And yet this morning…all of our anagrams are new! Now how’s that for STAR material? Ok…time to take a WALK over to our cartoon…

Today we find ourselves along the HOLLYWOOD WALK OF FAME, at 7000 Hollywood Blvd to be exact, which is home to the STAR belonging to TOM HANKS. The Walk of Fame, runs along 15 blocks of Hollywood Boulevard and three blocks of Vine Street in Hollywood, California. Along the way, are over 2600 terrazzo-tiled STARS, embedded into the sidewalk. Awarded to various members of the Arts, it’s a major tourist attraction. And today, we see just that. What appears to be a couple and their son, we overhear the adults fawning over Tom, while, Jr seems a little confused over SHIRLEY TEMPLE. People talking about people. But, as our question is suggesting…some people are “born to become famous”…it’s “WRITTEN IN THE STARS”! One of my favorite expressions! A big believer in fate, I always loved the saying….”Written in the stars. If you believe that something is written in the stars, you believe that it will be made to happen by a force that controls the future: ‘It was written in the stars that they would meet and fall in love’. Sigh…Fate and destiny…” Anyway, with the STARS along the Walk, showing these honorees names “WRITTEN IN THE STARS” literally…how great a pun do we have today? Kudos! David…this one truly SHINES!

Ok, eye candy. The STARS are all colored Gold, and the two that our family are looking at, display the Classic Film Camera, which represents Motion Pictures. Besides the family SHONE at front, we see a second couple at back, with the man using his phone to take a picture of another STAR. But what’s funny about our cartoon today, is that Shirley Temple’s Star is no where near Tom’s. Ms. Temples’ Star is located at 1500 Vine Street…So I’m figuring either she plays a special ROLE for Jeff, or he just went for the laugh…And with the kid asking..”Isn’t Shirley Temple a drink. I have to admit, I did laugh out loud! But the REEL eye candy this morning? You need to look REEL closely, but at the woman’s right elbow, is a STAR facing away from us, with an oval in a square icon, that reads “David L Hoyt”, and to the right, just beyond Jr’s head, another STAR reading “Jeff Knurek”. Now how’s that for FAME?! And I don’t know what category they’d be placed in, but I will say this...If they ever do get there? I’m sure the WORD will get out, and they’ll definitely DRAW a crowd! So, There you have it, Folks, Done! Have a great day, Everyone…and I’ll leave you with something that REELy fits the BILL! 🎶Written In the Stars🎶 – Sir Elton John (featuring) LeAnn Rimes 1999 📽🙋🏻

  1. Definitely not the easiest words to meld…I’d WRITTEN 3-4 drafts that never got off the GROUND! 😉🙋🏻

Feeling it UNJUST that they chose to IMPOSE upon him the label of a HERMIT, Ray decided to attend the Condo’s Halloween party, and was trying to decide whether to dress as a WIZARD or a TYRANT from Marvel Comics; but he waited too long to buy a ticket, and he saw the enrollment day EXPIRE…He sighed at the twist of fate, and figured it was just WRITTEN IN THE STARS…

He acted like a TYRANT, the guy who lived next door…
Most times he was a HERMIT, but when approached he would roar,
“Stay off my lawn, and don’t IMPOSE upon my privacy…
You’re all UNJUST, and I choose to EXPIRE quietly…”
But feeling that he needed help, they thought it’d take a WIZARD,
And concern was amounting with news of the coming blizzard…
Deciding to try one last time, they’d go in no holds barred…
And hoped that they’d succeed if it was WRITTEN IN THE STARS

  2. …And here the 🧙🏻‍♂️WIZARD, and the 🦹🏻‍♂️ TYRANT play a different ROLE, while the CRABby old man turned into a REEL 🦀 CRAB! 😂🙋🏻

Assigned a report on HERMIT crabs, he felt it WRITTEN IN THE STARS that this professor was especially UNJUST, and acting like a TYRANT, trying to IMPOSE on his private time, since she knew that he had a night and weekend job performing as a WIZARD at the Renaissance Fair…and with his busy schedule, he neglected to check when all the research books would EXPIRE, and ended up owing a fortune to the library…

  3. Hi all – HERMIT was my hardest word and I think that’s happened before. First I saw MIRTHE, then I got RITHEM (🎵”I got music….”🎵). Also saw POMISE before IMPOSE which also seems familiar. The answer seemed obvious from the cartoon.

Thanks for the details Angela. I liked the “family SHONE” pun, and laughed at David and Jeff’s names being included. Your musings on fate brought to mind:
🎵”Would you believe in a love at first sight?”
“Yes, I’m certain that it happens all the time.”🎵

    Have a great Sunday, everyone!

    🎵”Everybody’s a dreamer; everybody’s a star
Everybody’s in movies, it doesn’t matter who you are…
But please don’t tread on dearest Marilyn
    Cause she’s not very tough
She should have been made of iron or steel
But she was only made of flesh and blood
You can see all the stars as you walk down Hollywood Boulevard
Some that you recognize, some that you’ve hardly even heard of
People who worked and suffered and struggled for fame
Some who succeeded and some who suffered in vain.”🎵 (Ray Davies with The Kinks, “Celluloid Heroes”)

“The UNJUST punishment that the TYRANT had the WIZARD IMPOSE on the innocent HERMIT caused him to EXPIRE”.

    • Hey Professor. Impose and Hermit are running neck and neck, but there isn’t much traffic today at all, so it’s hard to gauge the difficulty level. Also I just realized that the solve isn’t included in the poll…Hope you had a wonderful celebration last night, and are enjoying the day today! 📽🙋🏻
