Happy Tuesday, Jumble friends! Today’s puzzle wasn’t much of a challenge, but David pleasantly surprised us with a new clue word in CROWD. We’ve seen the plural form of the word as the cartoon answer on 11/01/08, but it was so long ago that I highly doubt anyone would remember seeing it. Of the remaining three jumbles, SLUPH is the only that we’ve come in contact with before. Once solved, PLUSH became our most recently used clue word while INCOME showed up roughly three months earlier on 6/17/18. None of the anagrams managed to ruffle my feathers so I clocked in early and headed over to the cartoon.
Today’s panel featured four Jumble characters that were well dressed and impeccably groomed. The setting was an office and we happen upon two employees in the back exchanging dialogue. The gentleman on the left is utterly impressed by the drip of his coworkers while the woman on the right explains that it was the intern that raised the bar. This young hotshot is so well dressed that he either comes from a very wealthy family, or it’s time for the company to re-examine its intern pay scale!
The final solve was an anagram consisting of 12-letters and would transform into two words. Although the layout kept the solution well hidden, the cartoon and dialogue brought the answer instantly to mind. I’ll savor my win for the day and be poised to pounce on a harder puzzle that will no doubt come our way later in the week. Have a terrific Tuesday, and I’ll see you right back here tomorrow!
