THE SUBMARINE IN THE SEA BETWEEN AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND WAS – – –
RN UE WDO ND = DOWN UNDER
Good Morning, Everyone! ⬇️ DOWN…BLUNDER! ⬇️
🎶 UNDER THE SEA, UNDER THE SEA..,Nobody beat us, fry us and eat us, in fricassee…We what the land folks loves to cook…UNDER THE SEA we off the hook…We got no troubles, Life is the bubbles…UNDER THE SEA…”🎶 “Under The Sea” – (From The Little Mermaid – Samuel E. Wright 1989)
⬇️ As I looked at today’s cartoon, some common sense told me,
That nothing’s VAGUE about it, I’m not going under sea.
To me it’s like one playing a PRANK upon a friend,
You know it might be risky, but you know how it will end…
No matter how inane it seems, there’s always WISDOM there,
There’s nothing you can’t HANDLE, there’s no element of fear.
But being enclosed in a tube and going down real deep?
Just doesn’t register with me…above the sea I’ll keep…
A firm believer I’ll remain, let no man put asunder,
Me and my land legs, no Sirree…I’ll never go DOWN UNDER!⬇️
Being a little UNDER the gun this morning, time wise, I didn’t delve way DEEP into the Archives. I found the most recent use of all our words, and I was happy enough KNOT going any farther…So I can tell you that PRANK holds the BOTTOM slot, last seen in 2016, VAGUE and HANDLE appeared in 2017, and WISDOM comes out ON TOP with a showing just this past January 27th. But I have to ask. How many of you “saw” Guava this morning? Show of hands…I thought so. So did I. And then I thought about a Guava–Coconut Rum Cocktail that I tried recently. And I have to tell you…It’s true what they say about those “Sweet” drinks…eventually, they can definitely put you UNDER….But I digress…Ok..KNOT one word caused a pause…And now let’s SEA what Jeff’s offering UP today…
Strangely enough, we were UNDER David’s SPELL of the DEEP Blue SEA KNOT too long ago. June 11th to be exact. And yet here we are again today. And you know what else I came across? Back on July 18th, 2017, we also had a SUBMARINE-related puzzle and VAGUE was one of the words that day also. I don’t know WATER is, but I enjoy these little quirky things…I find them SUBlime. Anyway…Once again finding ourselves trapped, I mean enclosed in a Submarine, we see a Captain and two Submariners navigating in the SEA between Australia and New Zealand. The TASMAN SEA. But the DIRECTION we need to go in for today’s solution is an easy, SEAzy one…The term “DOWN UNDER” is a colloquialism that refers to Australia and New Zealand, and it comes from the fact that both these countries are located in the Southern Hemisphere…below many other countries on the Globe. Given that, and the Captain saying…”Continue DIVING to 2,000 feet”…well there’s no where else to go but…DOWN UNDER. AYE-AYE Yai, David! Good one! It’s got great DEPTH!
Ok, eye candy. There’s really KNOT much to go on today. What we SEA is what we get. Gray interior of a Submarine. Three Men and the Navy. Captain, white shirt, blue cap. Submariners in royal blue shirts. Control panels…Circular teal-colored ballast tank control. Close quarters, very close quarters…Did I mention that I’m claustrophobic? So, There you have it Folks, Done! Have a great day, Everyone…And always set your sights HIGH…⬆️🙋🏻
And just because... 🎶We all live in a Yellow Submarine. ..🎶 The Beatles 1966
