Good Morning, Everyone!            🗝 SURE..LOCK HOMES 🗝

🎶 Somebody done changed…Somebody done changed the LOCK on that door…My Baby changed, she done changed the LOCK on my door….And the KEY I got won’t fit that LOCK no more…🎶 “Somebody Done Changed the Lock on My Door” – BB King 1999   https://tinyurl.com/yyf5nlsk

🗝 Security’s so vital, today there’s so much FRAUD,
The LOWLY thieves so many, their knowledge is so broad…
It’s SPOOKY how they find ways, a COPPER doesn’t know,
To circumvent the system and threaten safety so…
Today the means to stay ahead can border on absurd…
So Lock, and lock and better lock become our new KEYWORDS 🗝

Keeping within our theme of “Everything Old is New Again”, once again today we’re seeing words that we’ve UNLOCKED before. While our anagrams may all be fresh-faced, our words are not; although COPPER has just appeared only 45 days ago, on 02/13/19. But it’s FRAUD that takes us back the farthest, way back to its’ first showing,  10/15/14 to be exact. And a little quirk here…In all its’ past appearances, David began the anagram with a “D”. Today, we “R” seeing something different. And all in all, nothing stumped the Early Birds this morning…Ok, enough about the KEYWORDS…Let’s BREAK INTO our cartoon…

Today we join a man and a woman in the offices of “Smith’s Locks”, a LOCKSMITH company…HA! That right there got me KEYED UP, and OPENED up my Jumble Day to a good start…Leave it to Jeff to add in that little touch of whimsy…While at first one may think that we’re seeing a couple, since the OPENing word in our question is “They“, a KEYWORD in the dialogue quickly SHUT that down. After overhearing the male character say, “Make sure people see MY site”, instead of Our site, it’s SAFE to say that he’s the Owner of the business, and our female character, his Office Assistant. Creating a new website to promote the business, they’re concentrating on finding just the right descriptive WORDS so that anyone Googling “Locksmiths” and/or any of those words, will see Smith’s Locks first…So, in answer to our question…They wanted to make sure they had enough…KEYWORDS! Good job, David..Once again you’ve PICKED just the right WORD!

Ok, eye candy…It’s a nice detail how we can see all the KEYWORDS that our woman’s speaking of reflected on the computer screen. I don’t think we’ve ever seen something like this before in any of our puzzles. The company’s Logo, a KEYhole is visible to the left of the screen. While this entire part of the panel is shaded in beige, we can still see the 5 different kinds of LOCKS hanging on the wall, one of them being the more modern KEYPAD type. To the left we see a Gun-metal Gray SAFE. Amusing is the little bit of a cowlick on our man, considering his head is bald on top…But what LOCKED it up for me today is the Mouse attached to the KEYboard…it’s just not something we see much anymore…So, There you have it Folks, Done! Have a great day, Everyone!…YALE, YALE...The Gang’s all here…and let’s LOCK ON! 🗝🙋🏻

  1. The SPOOKY looking creature on the outside of the kitchen window was nothing more than a LOWLY COPPER butterfly which our son thought would be a neat FRAUD to play on his parents.

    • 👏🏻👏🏻 Kudos, Chuck. Great slant. Very nicely done!. If I get a minute, I may give it a go myself…🗝🙋🏻

    • Chuck…Meh! I tried….🤔🙋🏻

° The only thing more SPOOKY than misplacing his COPPER penny collection, was remembering how that LOWLY-moralled, FRAUD shyster of a Numismatist tried to deny their authenticity….and emphasis on the KEYWORDS here…Shyster and lowly-moralled…

° I don’t watch scary movies…SPOOKY things are not my style,
I’d rather stick to comedy and drama once in a while…
Or perhaps I may indulge in a good COPPER tale of old,
When men in those long overcoats lit up the screen so bold.
To me a scary movie falls quite LOWLY on the scale,
It’s mostly FRAUD and fiction…which is why I always bail…
For me the KEYWORDS come to mind?… are laughter and a tear…
The entertainment has to be reality…sincere!

  2. A surprisingly easy puzzle for a Sat morning. The 4 anagrams and final solution were a snap.Being gone again on Twin watch, meant I had to go online to access the puzzle.Thank you Ark Dem.

    • Good Afternoon, Prof! I’m with you, it was a piece of cake! Enjoy the kids! 🗝🙋🏻

  3. Good morning. I had no problem with the words and when it came time to solve the cartoon,I wound up with a different answer “DESKWORK”. Somehow I read two Ks and came up with that answer which disappointed me for its lackluster finish. After seeing the real answer, the creators didn’t fail me. Nice work Angela. You always start the day off right. Until tomorrow stay well.

    • Hey Brooklyn…That answer may have been a little lackluster, but you’ll never be! Thanks for the Shout Out, Paul..I do believe you may just hold one of the KEYS to my heart! 😘 Hope you’re having a great day! 🗝🙋🏻

  4. Hi all – Putting the 2 O’s together and the Y at the end gave SPOOKY; otherwise it was a quick solve.

I guess the days are over when you would just name your business “AAAAA Locksmith” to make sure people saw you first in the Yellow Pages.

    Have a great day, everyone!

Thanks Angela, I missed the “Smith Lock” joke, but it’s funny that the first thing I also noticed was the mouse cord going into the keyboard. I’m also glad to see that the website has a “safe word.”
I haven’t heard the BB King song, nice. The only one that comes to mind for me is
🎵”I can’t go back there anymore
You know my keys don’t fit the door
You know my thoughts don’t fit the man
They never can; they never can”🎵
I went to bed before the top of the ninth, so missed seeing the Giants score their only run of the season so far. 🙄

    • And the younguns’ all across America are asking…”Yellow Pages? 🤔 What’s a Yellow Pages”? Thanks for the Shout Out, G…Have a great day, Steve! 😉🙋🏻
