I’m back…Our words today, all old favorites, are kind of middle of the roaders. Nothing to TEAR your hair out over, but not all recognizable at first GLANCE. The Early Birds thought that SUPERB was an excellent anagram, and decided that if any word would be deemed the stumper…that’s the one that would FIT the bill…And surprisingly for a Sunday, none of our words are all that NEW. THROWN came in as the most recent, from last August, while CLOSET dates back to June 2017. SEW, enough with all this…Let’s TEAR ourselves away and get to our cartoon…
As I mentioned earlier, the on-line sites that I use to afford me all the eye candy haven’t published this morning, putting me at a slight disadvantage…But I will try to look as CLOTHESly as I can to the panel…Finding ourselves today in the bedroom of a young teen, we see her having a CLOTHES ENCOUNTER with her parents. She’s WEARing a pair of terribly ripped JEANS, with holes from top to bottom on both LEGS. While it is stylish to have TEARS in JEANS, as her Mother points out, this pair has definitely seen better FRAYS, and her Father seems to disapprove of the HOLE concept. He’s telling her that he’d like to buy her “new jeans“, and our girl does OWN up to the fact that it SEAMS her beloved JEANS have definitely “fallen apart” Let’s face it, Folks…You needn’t be a JEANious to see that they’re obviously… ON THEIR LAST LEGS! Good one, David..That wit..it must be in your JEANS!
Ok, Eye candy. Our girl is WEARing a pink ruffled top with black boots, while her Mom wears a purple T-Shirt over JEANS. Dad’s clad in what looks like a University of Michigan T-Shirt..again without the on-line cartoon that I’m able to enlarge, it’s hard to read. The shirt is blue, WORN with brown pants. In the background is a chest of drawers, with a round mirror. And on the floor, I can see another pair of JEANS, what looks like a skirt or two, and a pair of lace-up shoes. But the candy? I’m going with our girls’ hair. Jeff’s given her long beautifully coiled curls. One of the best hair STYLEs he’s ever drawn…So, There you have it Folks, Done! Have a great day, Everyone! The answer had me stumped for some time. I thought of a few relevant words – torn and holes – and wrote down any other words that I could find, including LAST. My break came when I was looking for words that have SH, TH or GH and spotted THEIR.
