Good morning everyone and happy Wednesday!  We’re at the midpoint of the week and the puzzles have been absolutely fantastic so far.  Today’s puzzle continued the trend of unique and fresh clue words that weren’t pushovers.  BEYOND would be my pick for the most difficult of the bunch, and it took me a few minutes before coming into view.  BLAZER also resisted a bit but I think I was just frustrated from not solving BEYOND as fast as I would have liked.  With all of the clue words completed, it was time for the cartoon!  After reading the dialogue and sentence and looking at my letters, nothing came to mind which was very puzzling.  BLUNDER was the only word I saw but there were no 7-letter words in the solution.  My best bet was to solve the 2-letter word and go from there.  I tried ON first but couldn’t find anything else so I went to OF.  ENERGY finally jumped out at me leaving BUNDLE for the finish.  Did you notice that Jeff gave a name to the character on the left (Jere Jenkins)?  You’d need a magnifying glass to read his name tag or just look at the attached picture.  I did a quick search for Mr. Jenkins, however; I didn’t come up with anything relevant so perhaps he’s a friend or fan of the puzzle.  Also present was the “I ❤️ Jumble” coffee mug which can purchased at the link below.   It’s a great mug and I use mine every morning to display my Jumble pride.  Have a wonderful Wednesday and I’ll see you tomorrow!  🙂
