Good morning everyone and happy Tuesday! I hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend and are well rested and ready for some Jumble fun. No problem with any of the words today as they all came instantly into view and I trekked over to the cartoon within seconds. After reading the dialogue and sentence, TOP STORY was my guess for the final solution and I wrote out the clue letters to see if my hunch was correct. Sure enough, TOP was all together at the end of the letter layout leaving STORY for the finish. The cartoon outshined the anagrams this morning, with Jeff giving us a quaint English scene of what appears to be a husband and wife having a cup of tea while looking over the morning newspaper. Doing some research on the timeline of the Everest Expedition, Hillary and Norgay reached the summit on Friday May 29, 1953 and news of their success reached London just in time for Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation on June 2nd. A well drawn portrait of the Queen hangs in the background of the cartoon adding to the historical accurateness of the event! Jeff and David are always on top of their game, giving us not only a fun puzzle but a mini history lesson all wrapped into one. Enjoy your Tuesday and I’ll see you tomorrow! 😀
