💎 JUMBLE JEFF’S JEMS

➤ ⚖️ Counsel Under Pressure

The attorney on the left has slicked-back hair, a goatee, and a double-breasted suit with a collared shirt and tie. He holds a legal document in his right hand while raising his left as if offering an apology. Across from him, the female attorney wears her hair pulled back, a blazer over a ruffled blouse, and slacks. She holds a document in her left hand while her expression suggests she has already accepted the judge’s correction.

➤ 👨‍⚖️ Order in the Court

The judge wears a no-nonsense expression with short-cropped hair and glasses resting low on his nose. Dressed in a judicial robe over a shirt and tie, he points toward the attorneys while delivering a reminder about courtroom procedure.

➤ 🏛️ Bench Marks

The judge is seated in a large, cushioned chair. The gavel is visible atop the bench, while the front panel below features a circular emblem displaying the scales of justice.

🧠 FINAL SOLVE

The final answer was an 11-LETTER ANAGRAM that solved into a 5 + 6 LAYOUT. Our hump-day puzzle was practically over before it started. One quick look at the cartoon and the courtroom setting immediately put JUDGE on my radar. The first anagram handed us JU, while the final clue supplied DGE, bringing JUDGE instantly into view. Once that was crossed off, BEING emerged from the remaining letters in the middle of the layout, with the D tacked onto JUDGE to close the case. If today’s puzzle slowed you down, our nudges were the judge stepping in to correct the two attorneys and the courtroom exchange making it clear that the lawyers were BEING JUDGED.
