The final answer was a 7-letter anagram that would solve into a 7-letter layout. Our first puzzle of the week was a breeze. It wasn’t a blind solve, but it was pretty close. My biggest clue was helicopter pilot, which initially had me latch onto BLADE, but I couldn’t quite land it. Solving the clue words made it apparent that once I locked in the first P, it was instant that the answer was going to be CHOPPER or CHOPPED. From there, it was easy to stick a knife in this one.
