  1. Good Morning, Everyone…🤔 NUDE FOR THOUGHT?🤔

    🎶…And I THOUGHT about you…🎶…”I Thought About You” – Mr Frank Sinatra 1956  https://tinyurl.com/4t8m9czr

🤔“The Thinker” as we see here, so deep in concentration,

Has drawn a staring crowd with stages of contemplation…

Rodin’s QUEST…was it Dante…or did ego take old?

Was there a HITCH behind it all…with this sculpture so bold?

(And the 6-LETTER LAGOON won’t make the cut today…

No matter how I “pondered” it has no place to stay)

One wonders if these five people will come up feeling short…

After the stand like statues…each of them LOST IN THOUGHT…🤔

Ah…Mondays…And since we usually start our week off with an easy, breezy puzzle, this one is definitely playing its pART…

So…Today…We find ourselves at the Musée Rodin in Paris…And with David giving us both the names… “Rodin”, https://tinyurl.com/mvpduekn  and “The Thinker”, https://tinyurl.com/yx7jnka2  right there in our question, there’s no way we could be LOST. In fact, there’s BAREly the need to put any THOUGHT into this solve…Except for maybe the man at far right, the expression on everyone else’s face? Deep contemplation…= (They were) LOST IN THOUGHT https://tinyurl.com/mv686knw …And we HEAD ourselves a foot loose and FRANCEy free time here today…

…And Jeff giving us that pigeon perched atop the statue? A little too CLOTHES for comfort if you ask me…

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminds me of my friend who last year wanted to go to a Halloween party as “The Thinker”. But after BAREly two, three days into THINKING about how he’d FORM a costume, he NUDE it wouldn’t work. Disappointed? Yes…BUTT he was BIG about…and just took it on the CHIN…🤔🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🖊️ He sat LOST IN THOUGHT while writing the LETTER regarding the marsh…the HITCH being to convince them that their QUEST, in time, would see it turn into a muddy LAGOON…🖊️

🔠 The word LAGOON, its origin from the Italian laguna,
They studied root words to a T…but should have started sooner…
Each LETTER so important, any short cut they need ditch,
The project had to be flawless…go off without a HITCH
The QUEST, yes very detailed…perfection’s what they sought…
Hence that’s why you will find them…all deeply LOST IN THOUGHT…🔠

  4. 🤷🏻‍♂️Comes to art people have different taste,
    One sees beauty…another sees waste…
    Different eyes we possess,
    Comes down to…more or less…
The esthetics that we each embrace…🤷🏻‍♂️

📆 There are sculptures that last tests of time,
And reach acclaim considered quite prime…
    “The Thinker” is such,
Through the years… its praise much…
And its place as a favorite still climbs…📆

🤷🏻‍♀️ Speculation went from this to that,
    Wondering what had Rodin begat…
    And the theories were wide,
    Critics on many sides…
Trying to describe this man who sat…🤷🏻‍♀️

👀And today we see people who stare,
Trying in their minds to get it clear…
And they’re lost in their thoughts,
    About what it purports…
Or to what in life it can compare… 👀

    🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♀️Bottom line …this statue of a nude,
Who appears to perhaps sit and brood…
    Sculpt in 1904,
    Is a must on a tour…
As we still ponder what was his mood!🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♂️

    • I couldn’t help to reply , what I read with my eye , that this statue thinking in the nude , that what should I do ? Number one or number two !!

  5. Hey , start of the week Monday , but not as smooth as they usually are ! The anagrams were all there for me , but the jumble , I was LOST IN THOUGHT ! Still a great start ! 6. It’s a Monday. This Jumble made me Think. I did come up with the solution after I had my coffee ! I wonder what the Pigeon is thinking on top of the Thinker? Pumpkin Cheesecake Day? I guess pumpkin everything is available at this time of year. Thanks, Stan

  7. It’s a pretty glorious Jumble morning with a blind solve and Sinatra/Van Heusen song. Very informative posting, Angela, so thanks for that. On to Taco Tuesday. Terry

    • I knew you’d enjoy the Van Heusen, Terry. YW, and Tk you…🎶🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. Let me comment on Rodin’s statue. Growing up in Cleveland, we used to go to the Cleveland Art Museum in University Circle for the Easter promenade, and allowing my Mom and her sisters to show off their Easter finery. We’d have are pictures taken posing in front of a version of the Rodin Thinker Statue. A fine memory .Chuck.
