  1. Good Morning, Everyone…🐎PUTTING YOUR BEST FOOT FOUR-WARD🐎

    🎶 I WON’T DANCE, don’t ask me…I WON’T DANCE, don’t ask me…I WON’T DANCE, Madame with you…My heart WON’T LET MY FEET do things that they should do…🎶..”I Won’t Dance” – Mr Frank Sinatra (original recording) 1956  https://tinyurl.com/2uetutrp

🐎It’s hardly a FAULT of their own, the TOPPLE bound to be,
    It really shouldn’t BAFFLE…common sense to a degree…
The “WHEAT Ball” is this Friday…it’s a special meet and greet…
But best these horses sit it out…both with their TWO LEFT FEET!🐎

    Oh…The disappointment…the frustration…the agony of deFEET!

So…On our DANCE card today…A barn house gathering…after hours.  And to be on the SQUARE  https://tinyurl.com/6uv6eup7 here, even though our solve isn’t a new one, (we’ve seen it last on February 22nd, 2019 –  https://tinyurl.com/359hxv49 and before that on September 10th, 2015, when our question that day was… “The clumsy horse didn’t do well at the dance class because he had”)…it’s still STABLE enough to be worth repeating…

Ok…Let’s Do-Si-Do…  https://tinyurl.com/mr3bcffm Today, we see a couple, FILLY Cheesesteak, and her better HOOF, Sylvester STALLION, trying to REIN in the steps of a SQUARE DANCE.  https://tinyurl.com/3fw6zw9e But to the amazeMEAT of the Pig…who’s STYmied, the Ram…who’s HORNified, the Sheep…who’s BAAffled, and especially the Hen and the Rooster…baFOWLed even more …our couple just can’t seem to get a LEG up on it https://tinyurl.com/3brbkacw worth a DAM. https://tinyurl.com/4adwmet5  …And needless to say, they’re SADDLEd with anxiety…With the “Wheat Ball” just days away, Filly was so ready to be SAUCEy, while Sly was so looking forward to the MEAT and greet…And now? It looks like that “Wheat Ball” is gonna PASTA by without them…and they can HOOF and puff all they like, but the prHOOF is in the pudding…one can’t dance with…TWO LEFT FEET https://tinyurl.com/53cj9sdx  …They might as well not even TROTther anymore…NEIGH, it’s just not MANEt to be…And TBT, they probably should have had some HORSE sense https://tinyurl.com/4uk4uyfn  and thought about it beFOUR time…After all, FOUR legs? Let’s face facts here… they were BARN that way…what did they expect?…Clearly, a definite case of Do-Si-DOn’t…

And Jeff’s 💎 Gems? Besides the aFOURmentioned STEPtators, up top there’s the MOONy, I mean moody, mangy barnyard cat, looking PURRly bored, and the Owl…clearly thinking “HOO cares”…as he aPREYses the situation…But HAY, let’s face it, he’s never been one to give a HOOt  https://tinyurl.com/yc5zntkv about anything anyway…Oh…and about the Banjo that Pig’s playing? He’s probably thinking they were STRINGing him along the whole time…and from the wide-eyed look on his face, I’m sure it’s BACON him mad…Poor guy, he probably never SAUSAGE a ridiculous display…with all the HORSEing around https://tinyurl.com/yk8cxcku …And guaranteed he’s sorry he ever LINKed up with them in the first place…

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And this puzzle reminded me of my friend who owned a horse named Al-CaPONY, a real nightMARE. He couldn’t even get the horse to stand still long enough to get a picture with his android phone…(although we did tell him more than once that he’d have much better luck with an APPLE)…Anyway, Al was just plain ornery…always with the LONG FACE…looking to STIRRUP trouble…And finally, after one too many complaints from his NEIGHbors, and unable to REIN Al in, my friend just decided it wasn’t worth all the aggravation, and he TROTTED Al in for another horse…inSTEED of being SADDLEd with all the acriPONY…Trust me…it COLTn’t go on any longer…it had to STOP…it was truly a TAIL of WHOA…🐎🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🤷🏻‍♂️Whose FAULT it was did BAFFLE him…but it was obvious that someone with TWO LEFT FEET had definitely caused the pile of WHEAT to TOPPLE over…🤷🏻‍♂️

🤦🏻‍♀️Anxious to eat the cereal…her favorite, shredded WHEAT,
She somehow caused a TOPPLE of the bowl…and spilt her treat…
She thought she held it tightly, so the BAFFLE did ring true,
‘Twas her FAULT, plain and simple…and she’s sure she’s ruined her shoe
    The floor’s a mess…how did she trip…it’s clear she’s no athlete…
Since clumsy is as clumsy does…she’s cursed with TWO LEFT FEET! 🤦🏻‍♀️

  4. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♀️A horse, is a horse, yes of course,
And you can look in any resource…
You will see that four legs,
    Can def be the dregs…
Comes to dancing?…Trust, no tour de force…🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♂️

🐎Whether Square or even that trot,
Face the facts, with a horse it’s just not…
    A skill they can claim,
They just don’t have the frame…
Comes to dancing?…It’s best just forgot…🐎

    🕺🏻💃🏻Tangled feet..yes, it happens a lot,
Movements end up akin to robots…
They can try as they may,
But best call it a day…
Comes to dancing? They don’t have a shot…💃🏻🕺🏻

🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♂️So today, this couple in our plot?
    Stallion’s clearly no Sir Dancelot…
    And our Filly? Same case,
    Almost fell on her face…
Comes to dancing?…They’re not hot to trot…🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♀️

🐎 Today’s moral? In life, know your lot,
Our two horses? They proved that they’re not…
    Cut out for this thing…
There’s no way they can swing…
Bottom line? &#/[¥§!…or get off the pot! 🐎

  5. Late one tonight , but had to do it ! And to start off a new week , Monday , today was excellent ! All the anagrams were all there for me with no problems ! The jumble , with the horses looking at their feet and trying to dance , brings up that old saying , I can’t dance , cause I got TWO LEFT FEET ! And Angela great description on your friend ! Your pun on the words relating to horses was real funny ! Everyone have a great Monday , start of a new week !!!!!

  6. 2 Days in a row with blind solve and whipped through the clue words without any difficulty. Great start to the week.

  7. Missed an easy one today….the puzzle answer totally eluded me when TWO LEFT FEET is a pretty common idiom. I had the FEET okay but that was all. Of course it solved easily with anagrams out of the way !! It’s also nice to wake up to a Sinatra ballad. Composed by Jerome Kern and arranged by Neal Hefti. Now that got me humming early in the morning. Thanks, Angela, for the fine post. Terry

    • YW, Terry…and thank you for the shared appreciation we hold when it comes to composing and arranging…it’s getting to the point where I can actually foresee your comments. And as for Sinatra…he definitely went above and beyond when it came to doing justice to the music makers…and he never failed to acknowledge their work…I’m still humming it too…Here’s to the music makers! 🍷🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. TWO LEFT FEET does not make sense, since sheep and pigs are depicted, and these animals also have two left feet. A possible alternative is TWO FELT FEET, although their horseshoes are anything but soft like felt. Or FELT could be the past tense of FEEL, in which case the horses could not dance because they could feel their feet dancing, whereas the other animals could not. None of these seem to make sense.

    • Two Left Feet makes perfect sense, Jim, since the question itself speaks of the horses’ dancing…it has nothing whatsoever to do with sheep or pigs. What makes no sense is Two Felt Feet. I think it best you sit this one out…🐎🙋🏻‍♀️

  9. After yesterday’s struggle with the kids Jumble of all things, it was nice to bounce back with a quick solve of the anagrams and a blind solve of the cartoon, whew! Chuck.

  10. No horsing around here today. Nice and easy solve for a Monday. Have a good day all. Betty
