  1. Good Morning, Everyone…🌲 GUST WHAT THEY NEEDED! 🌲

🎶And WINDY has STORMY eyes…That flash at the sound of lies…🎶 “Windy” – The Association 1967  http://tinyurl.com/52kzsjvp

🌲The storm brought very heavy winds, the trees began to SWIRL,

And branches snapped like reed-like FLUTEs, so they were all a’twirl…

Insurance paid them quickly, the ACTUAL amount,

Was much more than they hoped for…a boon for their account!

They surely got a PARDON…the total did enthrall…

It seems what the wind did for them…was give them A WINDFALL! 🌲

A FALLen tree, and the huge gaping hole in the ground from where it uprooted. Off to the LEAF side, a branch.  All damage from the WIND. But for our couple, their frowns quickly turned to smiles…as the husband, wearing a Michigan Wolverine cap, calls it a “giving 💰tree”…Because looking at the insurance check that arrived? Being OVERPAID was definitely…A WINDFALL… http://tinyurl.com/yc8nrvd7 …And definitely MULCH appreciated…

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And here’s hoping today’s puzzle doesn’t STUMP anyone…🌲🙋🏻‍♀️

    …ANAGRAM HISTORY…🔠🙋🏻‍♀️

    TLFEU: New anagram

    WRSIL: New anagram

    CLAAUT: New anagram

    DRANPO: Used on – 01/31/23

  3. 🤷🏻‍♀️There was a SWIRL of activity that ensued after the FLUTE in question was finally recovered and it was considered A WINDFALL for the band…but it was still up in the air whether or not the ACTUAL responsible party would be granted a PARDON…🤷🏻‍♀️

💰 The FLUTE music rose in a SWIRL, the sound an ACTUAL breeze,

The Conductor said…”No PARDON here…we did it all with ease”…

The audience enjoyed it…they sat there quite enthralled…And everyone agreed that for the coffers? A WINDFALL! 💰

  4. just a little hump-day Wednesday today ! The anagrams were there except one that was one of those ACTUAL ones that I couldn’t see ! And the other one , PARON me ! Now the jumble with a downed tree and an overpaid insurance policy, gave me WIND and FALL was left ! I wasn’t too sure , but when I looked, I smiled ! Really nice to see your post first thing Angela , and the song was one I always liked for a perfect choice ! So everyone have a great little-hump day Wednesday !!!!!!!

  5. Like Jim, also like to see your Jumble post greet me in the morning. Glad you’re back. Today’s puzzle not too tricky, but not a blind solve. The anagrams were all there except I misspelled the last word, PARDON as PANDOR, so was off a letter or two, but solved the puzzle and found the correct letters I needed so re-solved last word. But yes, I was a bit STUMPED on today’s Humpday. A tuneful song from the 60’s, for sure. Terry

      • FYI….PANDOR is a word. Just didn’t fit in the scheme of things today. Terry

        • Terry…Pandor isn’t in the MW Dictionary, so it’s not a viable word as far as the Jumble goes. And if anything, it’s an obsolete spelling of pander. So…sorry, Sir…no cigar! 😉🙋🏻‍♀️

          • You’re right (as always)….looked it up again and it said “obsolete form of pander”. But when I checked this morning…am sure it gave a legitimate meaning, so I went with it. And also Google said NOT a scrabble word. I guess I was still dreaming. Terry

            • Right, as always!?… LOL! Hardly…I’m a menace…but thank you for the vote of confidence. 😉 David’s painstakingly careful with the words he chooses, so it’s very rare that a double spelling comes up. Anyway, I’ll make you laugh…Ever since I read your comment, “El Condor Pasa” is playing in my head…And I’m not sure if I should thank you or not! 😂🙋🏻‍♀️

  6. I had trouble with Actual like Jim and had to back in. Happy New Year – a little late – to everyone. Caroline

  7. Good morning. A three day break with no paper and no jumble might have done me some good. I was able to get both parts with minimal trouble. Enjoyed the song choice Angela and first time seeing a picture of the group. Had no idea who they were or what they looked like. Until tomorrow take care.

  8. Solved the cartoon and then worked back to solve the ‘actual’ anagram seeing I needed 2 A’s. Chuck.

  9. I actually took the longest time for me to see “actual” but once I did, the rest of the puzzle was easily solved. Happy Wednesday all! Betty
