  1. Good Morning, Everyone…💪🏻DOIN’ THAT CRAZY HAND JIVE 💪🏻

🎶 Oh, yeah, I’ll tell you somethin’ I think you’ll understand,,,When I say that somethin’…I want to HOLD YOUR HAND…I want to HOLD YOUR HAND…🎶 “I Want to Hold Your Hand” – The Beatles 1964 http://tinyurl.com/5n6z93x6

💪🏻There wasn’t any PRIZE to win, it just was barroom stuff,
Words lead to macho nonsense…and things got a little rough…
Our David’s on HIATUS, and somehow he got stuck,
(And FUNGUS with MACAW don’t work..so both are out of luck)
It’s obvious poor David just doesn’t have the clasp…
And he’s handing his opponent a def win WITHIN HIS GRASP…💪🏻

Yes, there’s a chance it’s not David…but there is a STRONG resemblance, and the woman does look like how Jeff has drawn Claire in the past…so I think it’ll WORK OUT…pun intended!

So…Arm Wrestling. http://tinyurl.com/2zrrmr6x …Quite often the sport of the overindulgent bar denizen. And definitely no stranger to the Jumble. You wouldn’t believe how many Wrestling puzzles we’ve had in the past…A little OUT OF HAND, actually…but it appears David’s fond of them…so I guess there’s always enough ELBOW room for more…And speaking of David…While he has been known to hoist a few, it’s pretty obvious that hoisting a barbell or two never entered his mind…And that’s alWRITE…David’s more the cerebral type…so how this came about is a bit of a mystery. But let’s make the WREST of it…

The solve…My initial glance made me think that our first word would end in ING…But the dialogue of David’s opponent was gnawing at me…”Sweaty HAND”.…Ah…= No GRASP…And then it hit me…I had those words join HANDS with the “much STRONGER” from our question, and that’s what HANDed it to me…With David’s hand securely WITHIN the fist of his opponent…for the victor, it was WITHIN HIS GRASPhttp://tinyurl.com/29mwskhn …And once again, HANDS down, we got ourselves another GRIPPING WINNER…But just for the record, do I really think David and Arm Wrestling go HAND IN HAND? Do I think it’s his STRONG suit? No….But I was just so DRAWN to the caricature…And besides, he definitely does HAND out a lot of these types of puzzles…so I figured identifying him as the defeated one was no hARM, no foul…I do think it’s him though…but I trust he won’t get UP IN ARMS over it if it’s not…And with that being said… I WRIST my case…

…And Bubba looks a little like Chuck Norris…but we just saw him here ten days ago, so I doubt Jeff would WRESTLE him up again…

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And I wonder if I got too ATTACHED to this ARM/HAND puzzle…I really think I need to be a little more FLEXible…and learn to just LET GO….💪🏻🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. 🙇🏻‍♂️When his PRIZE MACAW developed a FUNGUS, just as he was ready to go on HIATUS, he had to face the fact that time away just wasn’t WITHIN HIS GRASP right now…🙇🏻‍♂️

🦜HIATUS to him was a PRIZE…he’d worked so many weeks,
On researching the FUNGUS…the origin to seek…
He plans to take his MACAW, with its wings of funny flaps…
And take a long vacation …it’s finally WITHIN HIS GRASP! 🦜

  4. Had a hard time with HIATUS. And the jumble , had me thinking of the first word with ING at the end , so I tried PAINTING, WRIGHT , PAINS , none worked ! Very well explained David’s scenario! I really enjoy reading your whole post ! And as I’ve said every time the Beatles sounds are chosen , that’s one of my favorites ! So have a great day , and bring on Sunday Funday !!!!!

  5. Didn’t come up with the Saturday blind solve today. I just couldn’t think of a phrase to fit. That said, waltzed through the anagrams, and initially took out GRIPS, then found WITHIN, except I was missing an “I”. Finally put it all together, adding that “A” to my GRIPS word. Nice song, and very interesting post. Enjoy your countdown to New Year’s Eve !!! Terry

  6. The four words were interesting. They were like getting dressed in the morning, what with ZIPERing one’s pants and TAISHU even though it hurts because of a GSUUNF in one’s toes. The cartoon answer seems to scream out THING, but that leads to RIPSAW HIS THING, which doesn’t seem likely. The correct answer was WITHIN HIS GRASP, but there were several other plausible answers as well, such as WIPING HIS TRASH, PAWING HIS SHIRT, WIRING HIS PATHS, and RATING HIS WHIPS.

  7. Good morning. Hiatus took forever to get but I stayed with it and didn’t give in until I finally solved it. The cartoon answer had me at first like Jim, thinking the last word was THING, but the first word was no good so I went back to the drawing board and finally came up with the correct answer. Until tomorrow take care.

  8. Like others, HIATUS took a while. The answer also took effort, as, like others, I tried thing, grips, and even wrist. Finally found GRASP and the answer. Good workout.
    Dennis

  9. At first the answer wasn’t within “my” grasp. Compounded by the fact that I couldn’t come up with hiatus, it took me forever. However, I stayed with it until I final solved the puzzle. From there I backed into hiatus. Good one today, even if it did drive me crazy.

  10. Things fell into place nicely this morning as I saw “within” right away which just left “grasp”. Good puzzle. Betty
