🎶 Oh nobody loves me…My spirit sure is low…Oh Nobody loves me for the reasons you all know…Nobody loves me, my best friend said I stunk…Nobody loves me…on account of I’m a SKUNK…🎶 “The Skunk Song” – 1942 https://tinyurl.com/4px7pfrk
🦨 There’ll be no UPDATE made today…no CHERRY on the cake,
It’s looking like His HONOR may have need to take a break..,
A rancid scent like rotten eggs…with ONION that’s mixed in,
Has filled the air and patience in the room is wearing thin
The defendant’s caused some havoc…things may have to be cut short…
There’s no way to continue with such “ODOR” IN THE COURT! 🦨
I definitely need ARREST…because as soon as I was taking my iPad out of its CASE, I was all ready to JUMP right in with some Kangaroo Court puns…until I realized…wrong mammal. It STINKS, though…because I really had a few good one-two PUNCH ones…So I’m not too HOPPY about it…
Anyway…Today…A Courtroom…presided over by His Honor, SHELL-DON Wrong, with PEW-EY Reese as defendant, and RABBIT Downey,Jr, the prosecuting attorney. And if I’m missing some pop-culture connection ‘tween the Rabbit, the Skunk and the Turtle, like I did the other day with the Looney Tunes https://tinyurl.com/5fkxwkna reference?…Well I guess it’s neither HARE nor there…I’m still HUNG JURY, I mean hung up on the \^[^*)¥! Kangaroo thing…Ok…let me TRY this again…
Anyway…Today an anthropomorphic Courtroom…which seems to be experiencing a bit of SCENTsationalism…The Skunk https://tinyurl.com/y2j2rdbp on trial, after having become “nervous”, as our question tells us, invAIRiably does what a Skunk does. …It sprays…And as I’m sure you all NOSE, when a Skunk sprays, it’s no bed of NOSES. And I’m also sure you all know that it uses its spray as a DEFENSE mechanism… https://tinyurl.com/2ukhnp94 no pun intended….(but how apropos)…So, between our very leading question, our dialogue…”I object” and “Contempt”, the very graphic NATURE of our cartoon…Rabbit Downey holding his nose, the Judge angrily banging his gavel, the aSCENT of the spray shown rising…and most of all those tell-TAIL quotation marks? This one REEKS of an easy, breezy solve…There was “ODOR” IN THE COURT. https://tinyurl.com/59ytyhzc … And we can put this one to DREAD…
Jeff’s Gems? Pew-ey’s tie is festooned with roses, maybe he thought he’d come off as a breath of fresh AIR…and the Scales of Justice is a tree trunk balancing two nests…which appear to be acorn halves. I wasn’t too sure about the significance thAIR at first, I thought it was a little SQUIRRELLY, but then I figured maybe I’m just not seeing the forest for Fabreeze…you know? (Again here, you can refer to my OPENING STATEMENT….the rest issue)….
…And yes, I’m well awAIR of Bugs Bunny, https://tinyurl.com/42zp6c7z Pepé LePew. https://tinyurl.com/mrpjr3c7 and Cecil Turtle https://tinyurl.com/2vus8tvk all being Loonie Tunes characters…but let’s FACE it Folks…they LOOK nothing like our characters hAIR today…. So, in my DEFENSE, if by any chance there’s EVIDENCE that there’s a connection, and I’m not PUTTING THE CASE TOGETHER? I’m WARNERing before time that I’ll be demanding a MISTRIAL…JUSTICE once, I think I’ll be making a STINK…
So…ThAIR you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…and I’ll leave you with a joke that ODOR fit…about a Mother Skunk and her two sons, In and Out. In always stays inside, while Out always stays outside…But one day, In went out and Out went in. When the Mom called the boys for dinner, only Out came.”Go find your brother”, the Mom said. Out left, and came back with In in less than five minutes. “How did you find him so fast?” the Mom asked…Out just shrugged and said…”Instincts.”…Give it a minute…🦨🙋🏻♀️

It seems the judge was right on the brink
Of losing his cool at the stink
A jittery young skunk
Disorderly, drunk?
Figured he was on his way to the clink!

🦨 While the spray is a sign of defense,
There’s no skirting the awful offense…
Yes, his nerves may be raw,
But he’ll be shown the door…
After filling the room with such scents! 🦨
🤷🏻♂️Old enough to know what’s wrong from right,
You’d think he’d not bring his spray to light…
‘Tis said the spray’s controlled,
Meaning…chance he could hold…
What ended up bringing the blight? 🤷🏻♂️
🤷🏻♂️Whatever the charge might have been,
No way he takes it on the chin…
Is he going to jail?
Could he get by with bail?
Just what led to his move so obscene? 🤷🏻♂️
🤦🏻♂️Chances are he could have pled his case,
But now the offense? Not erased…
With the odor so bad,
He’s now labeled a cad…
And there’s no way left he can save face..,.🤦🏻♂️
🦨 Looks like Pew-ey may have sealed his fate,
And there’s no way right now he can skate….
Alienating the Judge,
Are we thinking begrudge?
For old Pew-ye the sorry’s too late…🦨
