    📦 The guy from UPS we see has heard it all before,
    He’s hoping though that this time there’s a chance that he might score….
    It’s not like it’s a MOOSE head that he’s got under his arm,
    It’s just a tiny package…and he’s asking…”What’s the harm…
    You won’t need to UNPACK the box, just sign for it, that’s all”…
    But once again the landlord says..”This ain’t no shopping mall…”
    (And speaking about ain’t…there’s two words just don’t fit today,
    They’re DEITY and CLINIC…with our theme there’s just no way)…
    So getting back we’re seeing there’s no chance of misconception…
    The Landlord says “I won’t take it…I’m making NO “ACCEPTIONS” 📦

    My neighbor: “Would you mind ACCEPTING a package for me”? Me: “Of course, no problem”. Nothing I had to reSIGN myself to…it was simple…So I’m not sure why our Landlord, NOAH WONT, is so adamant about not ACCEPTING that tiny little package…He just won’t make an EXCEPTION, even though the poor UPS guy, VINNY DRIVER, is DELIVERING his request in such a nice way…

    …IDK, maybe NOAH’s had a bad experience in the POST..I mean the past. And he feels BOXed in now. Who knows…But what we do know is that we’re ending the week with another easy, breezy, ever so clever solve. Our question: You sign for a package, you ACCEPT IT…Our dialogue: “Just this ONCE”…”Absolutely NOT” = NO exceptions…Quotation marks?     A little gem…Next door, sitting at the window of the tenant’s empty apartment…a cat. Not PARCELticularly pleasing, IMO, I’m so not a cat person, especially a MAIL cat…but it is a nice touch just the same.

  3. 📚 The librarian began to UNPACK the new books on the Ancient Greek DEITY, and the talking MOOSE…once done, all the old inventory, with NO EXCEPTIONS, could be donated to the CLINIC…📚

    The first assignment…children’s tales…a MOOSE and than a sprite…
    By course’s end, a DEITY and politics on slate,
    They’ll cover all the bases by the time they reach week eight
    There’s still a lot to UNPACK…so they’re sticking to their guns…
    All week it will be 9 to 5…and def NO EXCEPTIONS! 📝

  4. End of the weekend Friday ! Boy this week was a little tougher than most ! The anagrams were all there for me ! They were fun to get and I didn’t even have to UNPACK my brain ! I just closed my eyes and asked the DEITY ! But when it came time for the jumble , I took the MOOSE back to the CLINIC to see if it would help , but it didn’t ! I really struggled to find the words that followed after the solution ending with a comma , to continue the phrase ! I had to cheat and this week has been tough ! So bring on , end of the week Saturday ! I’m ready for one to solve ! Everyone have a great fun Friday !!!!!

  5. Answer didn’t come right away (though maybe it should have)…so just resorted to the age old way of doing things. Solved the anagrams…then looked at the letters and maybe thought it ended with TIONS. That was the spark for the solve. Great song from yesteryear !! Hope the postman isn’t delivering mail in the central Texas Heat Wave.

  6. Good morning. I agree with Jim. This has been a tough week with jumble. I was able to get the words pretty quick with a slight pause on Deity. I remembered that from awhile ago but when it came time for the cartoon answer I had to look it up. You nailed it Angela with your song choice. Until tomorrow take care.

  7. Got the anagrams after a pause on the spelling of deity, then thought the cartoon solution was exceptions, but lacking an X and seeing the quotation marks, got the acceptions solution on another steaming hot day. My local patio thermometer reached an actual temp of 102 yesterday afternoon!!

    • There you go, Prof…The pun was on the word Exceptions…and it’s the quotation marks that DELIVERED the solve! All it takes is looking for that little SIGN! 😉And as for the heat? God knows I can’t wait for the temperatures to FALL! 📦🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. I too figured “tion” would be the ending of the long word so after studying the dialogue realized it was “acceptions” rather than exceptions. Clever one today. Happy Friday all!
