  1. Good Morning, Everyone…I hope this finds you well…
    ⚾️ SWING AND SWAY…WITH “BUD”…J.A. ⚾️

🎶 Yes, it don’t mean a thing, if it ain’t got that SWING…🎶…”It Don’t Mean A Thing (If It Ain’t Got That Swing)” – Miss Ella Fitzgerald & Mr Duke Ellington 1965 https://tinyurl.com/29av8k2r

⚾️ For a Baseball fan it’s SHOWN to be a must on bucket lists,
A Baseball bat’s importance …as you grip it in your fists..,
With Summer we think Baseball, a BURGER and the beach,
And Kentucky in the Summer…brings all three within one’s reach
(It’s here where I’ll leave SHIFTY and FOGGY high and dry…
    We’re talking Baseball bats here…they don’t meld…so they’ll SWING BY)! ⚾️

This Morning: Road Trip…Louisville, Kentucky. And The Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory… https://tinyurl.com/2hcksrwc …And WOOD you believe that this is the first Baseball-oriented puzzle that we can COUNT so far this year? We’ve LUMBERed through all these weeks ASH if it didn’t exist…BUNT finally today a puzzle BASEd on our beloved sport…OAKy…let’s go to BAT…

I’m not sure if one needs be familiar with Baseball lingo to know what a “Louisville Slugger” https://tinyurl.com/24atc4tk is…So I might be off BASE here assuming everyone’s “been there, done BAT” when it comes to the phrase and/or the actual item. But even if you’ve no clue…FIRST: with that GIANT 120 foot tall BAT in our cartoon, SECOND: the given knowledge that one SWINGs a bat, and THIRD: the dialogue all LEADing to the convenience of it all…it shouldn’t be a LONG DRIVE to reach HOME with today’s solve. This place was OBVIOUSly easy to…SWING BY… https://tinyurl.com/yckhn45v You can see that bat from a great DISTANCE away…

And if you look real closely, you can read the inscription on the bat… At the taper, encircled: “Louisville Slugger®️ 125 Hillerich & Bradsby Co Made in the USA Louisville, KY”, with “Powerized” off to the side, and on the Barrel: “Genuine J.A. “Bud” Hillerich Louisville Slugger ®️…”

So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And I had a few Baseball Bat jokes…mostly HIT or MISS…But I’ll leave you with this…Have you heard the one about why Baseball Bats seem to break at the grip on Saturdays and Sundays? They say it’s because it’s the WEEKEND…⚾️🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🤷🏻‍♀️They had hoped to SWING BY the new BURGER place, but the SHIFTY-looking crowd gathered outside in the FOGGY weather was SHOWN to be a deterrent…🤷🏻‍♀️

🍔 The description rather FOGGY, it was SHOWN to be inept,
Said “SHIFTY manner and quite tall…and looking not well-kept”
He’d robbed and trashed the BURGER joint, and still was on the fly…
The media suggested it unwise now to SWING BY…🍔

  3. Ok , great way to start , a welcome Monday ! Very nice to breeze smoothly by all the anagrams and the jumble ! As soon as I read about Louisville Slugger , SWING came out and of course the letters left BY ! Great start of the week , Monday ! Angela the song by Ella Fitzgerald was so memorable ! Hope everybody had a nice weekend ! Let’s make this an undefeated week of all fun and entertaining jumbles and anagrams ! So as a friend of mine , who is a baseball glove said , “ I’ll catch you later “ !!!!!

  4. Ahh…the jokes seem to be abounding on this early Monday morning…much appreciated. I first looked at the puzzle cartoon and tried to fit the word BAT in there somehow….just didn’t work. I kept shifting around in my batter’s box to throw the pitcher off guard…and voila !! I swung and hit a homer. Love those blind solves to start a Monday. And there was the added bonus of Ella/Duke and the Great American Songbook. BTW, it’s interesting all the new baseball rules to shorten the game a bit!!

  5. Good morning. It’s Monday so thank goodness it was an easy start for a new week. No blind solve but like the words it was a quick solve. Perfect song choice Angela. I like the fact that the games are shorter to watch especially the way the Mets are playing now. You don’t really want to watch them they are that terrible. Until tomorrow take care.

    • Good Morning, Paul. Tk you. The Mets? You’d think after all these years we’d be used to it…but it still STRIKES a blow! 😉 Take care, Paul. Have a good one…⚾️🙋🏻‍♀️

  6. Baseball lingo swings far and wide
    ‘Way beyond its origin state-side
    The slugger is known
For hitting the ball that is thrown
    And for satisfaction it provides!

  7. ⚾️ Baseball’s mostly a hit or a miss,
Ends in heartbreak or absolute bliss…
    One approaches the pitch,
    Hoping there’ll be no glitch…
And the crowd then will cheer…and not hiss! ⚾️

👍🏻 At the museum there’s so much to see,
‘Specially for kids who started with tees…
    Memories definitely made,
    Over heroes who played…
As we see from our family of three…👍🏻

⚾️ With a bat that reaches to the sky,
It’s a lock that most Folks will “Swing By”…
    Take an interesting tour,
    Guaranteed not to bore…
And there’s souvenirs for all to buy…⚾️

    🤦🏻‍♀️ It’s America’s pastime that’s true,
And there’s fans who remain so true-blue…
    Even when things go wrong,
And you hear that swan song…
You still hold out for something anew…🤦🏻‍♀️

⚾️ So our puzzle today for these three,
Is the Museum and the Factory…
    In Kentucky? Make time,
To see the bat that climbs…
Guaranteed there’s no chance for ennui! ⚾️

  8. So easy today that I solved it without looking at the picture. Witn only 8 letters, I found SWING BY, and then looked at the cartoon.

  9. An easy Monday puzzle. As a youth, one of my most treasured items was a Ted Williams autographed Louisville Slugger miniature bat!
