  1. Good Morning, Everyone…I hope this finds you well…
    🦈 WHEN SPIELBERG ORCA*-STRATED THIS! 🦈

🎶 Oh, the SHARK, Babe, has such TEETH, Dear, and it shows them pearly white …You know when that SHARK BITES with his teeth, Babe…Scarlet billows start to spread…🎶 “Mack The Knife” – Mr Bobby Darin 1959 https://tinyurl.com/2y928v8y

🦈 Today it’s much more SPOKEN of, our waters and the sharks,
Before it WOULD be something kind of kept back in the dark…
Not easy to ADJUST to…the danger of it all,
    But back in ‘75 …it surely was a wake-up call…
Young Spielberg had a PROUD moment when his movie reached top…
Of summer entertainment…and we all cringed with JAWS DROPPED …🦈

So…JAWS https://tinyurl.com/57msk7xa DROPPED, figuratively, into our laps in the Summer of 1975, when it HIT the MOVIE theaters on June 20th…The theme music alone https://tinyurl.com/35et32x5 was enough to cause the hair on your HEAD to stand on end…and your SHOULDERS to TIGHTEN…And if the young Steven Spielberg https://tinyurl.com/yaa28cce thought for even a moment that he might have BITTEN off more than he could CHEW, he couldn’t have been more wrong. It was definitely a WATERshed moment, something you could really SINK your TEETH into…and the Blockbuster https://tinyurl.com/393tkp3p was born…

Today finds our characters in the cool interior of a movie theater…trying to beat the summer’s heat…But that all vanished into FIN air…because little did they know that things would heat up the way they did. Well, maybe some of them might have had an inkling, having RED Peter Benchley’s best seller https://tinyurl.com/3p6z3wtu the year before…but you know what they say…”Seeing is believing”… https://tinyurl.com/3ufmzth3 …And these Folks SHAW got their money’s worth…and then CHUM…Because what unfolded on that screen was definitely unprecedented…As for cool? Try cold…That was the blood running….And as far as our solve goes? If you RED David’s question about the “great white shark”, https://tinyurl.com/4x6286t6 and that wasn’t enough to HOOK you up, the eight mouths agape in our cartoon definitely BRODY all home…Watching that movie? ..JAWS DROPPEDhttps://tinyurl.com/wpymfan6 …literally this time, with many a moviegoer watching with their eyes QUINTing…I mean squinting from behind clasped hands…And another easy, QUEAZY puzzle has gone SWIMMINGly…

Jeff’s Gems…The projector shown at back, and the MAN EATING popcorn, dropping a flake back into its tub…But it’s the guy at front who’s the keeper…Getting CHUMmy, holding his woman’s hand with his right, his left is shown gripping the arm rest, like he’s aBOAT to GO UNDER…And his T-shirt? Pink Floyd’s https://tinyurl.com/yzr65fr9 1973 “Dark Side of the Moon” Album Cover… https://tinyurl.com/3vc9yadr ..The album a huge commercial success…and now another vintage PIECE for the ages…Pink Floyd definitely ROCKED THE BOAT back then…

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…and all SHARK-asm aside, no one needs to find themselves between a SHARK and a hard place…so no de-BAITing on this one…MAKO sure you CHEWS wisely where you fish and where you swim…🦈🤷🏻‍♀️

    * …And yes, I’m well aware that an Orca is a whale… but Mako-Strated just doesn’t make sense…and besides they’re both killers…🦈

    • ‘and the MAN EATING popcorn’ can be interpreted two ways: (1) a man is eating popcorn, or (2) the popcorn eats people.

          • 🤦🏻‍♀️…All I can say is MAN EATING (popcorn) was a great play on words…and realistic…and yes, sharks DO eat people…that’s the whole idea here today…and again, realistic…Popcorn eating people? Sorry, I can’t BITE…It’s just not on the menu today…🦈🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🤷🏻‍♂️JAWS DROPPED when what WOULD have been a PROUD moment took a turn for the worst… and everyone had to ADJUST to knowing what up until then had remained something not SPOKEN of….🤷🏻‍♂️

🤦🏻‍♂️It WOULD have been much easier if he learned to ADJUST,
They’d SPOKEN of it many times…but words turned into dust
There’s nothing to be PROUD of now, the whole thing surely flopped…
And he is left with egg on face …amongst all the JAWS DROPPED…🤦🏻‍♂️

  3. We’ll hello taco-Tuesday ! Another one in a row of fun and solvable anagrams and jumble ! I was really PROUD of all the anagrams and I WOULD not ever try to ADJUST any ! I have SPOKEN ! The jumble had the JAWS jump right out when it was about a Steven Spielberg movie ,I knew it was going to be a Whale of a time and JAWS DROPPED it only with the letters , but the cartoon , and the movie ! What a fun and entertaining one today ! I’m definitely getting me some tacos ! Angela , love Mack the Knife ! We’re on the road to a great week so far with two in a row , so come on no-jump Wednesday ! Everyone have a great taco-Tuesday !!!!!!!

  4. Such a dead give-a-way in today’s puzzle !!! I mean….JAWS just had to be that first word, and the cartoon showed them dropping like crazy. Whenever the Jumble delves into the past as it does today, I’m just flabbergasted about how far back into history that movie goes…and to have experienced it first hand. Wow. Great Taco Tuesday so time to hum along to one of Bobby Darin’s great hits. Stay cool, Angela…and as always…another great posting.

  5. I miscopied the letters and was lacking the w for jaws in the cartoon solution! Not a good start to Taco Tuesday!

  6. Good puzzle this morning. Love the look of terror on the faces of the folks in the audience. Quick solve of the anagrams and the cartoon answer. Mack the Knife is a perfect song choice for today.

    • Yes, and it’s always a pleasure listening to Bobby Darin…🦈🙋🏻‍♀️

  7. Some creatures attack with the claw
While others make use of the jaw
    But whatever the means
    There’s nothing but scenes
Of folks with a fear that’s real raw!

    Horror takes over their face
Of composure there’s nary a trace.
    No matter how you feel
    Relax, it’s not real
You’re just in the movie place!

  8. 🤦🏻‍♀️Steven Spielberg was just 26,
    Beginning to create his flicks…
But he came up with this,
    And disturbed summer’s bliss…
Throwing such fear into the whole mix! 🤦🏻‍♀️

🎥 The movie took summer by storm,
What was seen was so far from the norm…
    Despite those who had read,
    The book…masked the dread…
    Especially when blood was a’swarm…

🏊🏻‍♀️Chrissie Watkins went out for a swim,
And what happened was really quite grim,
    Her remains up for grabs,
    Feasted upon by crabs…
And from there on thing’s definitely grew dim…🏊🏻‍♀️

🤷🏻‍♂️Folks went into the movie aware,
That they might see disturbing stuff there…
But word mixed in with hype,
Turned out to be all tripe…
Because nothing had them quite prepared…🤷🏻‍♂️

🦈Jaws the movie did outdo the book,
    Reading’s one thing…but when you do look…
At the gore that’s on screen,
    And listen to the screams?
It’s got you..by hook or by crook! 🦈

  9. Wow pretty cool Jumble today. This solve made my jaw drop too! Done in no time at all! Haunting movie to this day.

  10. As always, you provided another great narrative today, Angela! Within the cartoon visual, I noted the 1975 vintage women’s hairstyles and men’s sideburns. I am with you in enjoying the Pink Floyd DSOTM T-shirt. Jeff frequently likes to reference Wilco or Poi Dog Pondering, but neither of these groups were around back in 1975…so, Pink Floyd it is!

    • Hi Tom. Thank you. Yes, those bands are his usual go to’s. And I can’t speak for him, but he is an avid music buff, so he may very well be a big Pink Floyd fan also. But rest assured, when it comes to pop culture, he definitely has his finger on the pulse of what’s relevant…Enjoy your night, Tom. And Tks again 🦈🙋🏻‍♀️
