    And hopes she’s SIDING with him…and enjoys the brand new space

    I do laugh to myself, DIGGING up the DIRT, no pun intended, on a couple of Moles. Anyone who knows me knows how SHORT-SIGHTED I am when it comes to any creature of this sort…Really, my skin CRAWLS…but I just BURROWED a page from “the show must go on handbook”…and here we are…So, without further aDEW, let’s DIG in…

    Ok…The term “DIGS”… derived from the earlier term diggings, which shares the same meaning as living quarters or lodging. Doug, who from Low-la’s dialogue must have previously lived in some GRUBby HOLE-in-the-wall places…so to speak…has finally put DOWN some ROOTS in a brand NEW home. And Low-la seems very impressed with it all…She likes that Doug seems more GROUNDed now…And despite the fact that Moles are basically loners, Doug may just be ready to settle DOWN…So she definitely likes his…NEW DIGS… https://tinyurl.com/4nscd8rh

    Jeff’s Gems? Doug’s fashioned some steps, to aid with the LAWN way down…The conversation PIT? Definitely scores a MOLE-in-one. And there’s a TV, plus a bar set up with 2 bottles, 2 glasses and an ice bucket.   4. Welcome to the weekend , Saturday ! I capped another one with the anagrams and the jumble about a mole and his girlfriend ! I thought at first digging a hole or down under the dirt , but then thought they dig holes and DIGS came right out! ! And of course NEW was there and she liked his NEW DIGS ! Another great jumble to cap off the week ! Angela , you are so good with all your mole puns , all of them were so cool ! It seemed like there was Moletitude of them ! The only mole I remember is Morocco Mole from the Secret Squirrel show ! What a great fun jumble ! Everyone dig up a great weekend !!!!!!

    • Hey Jim, you’re reaching back quite a ways with Secret Squirrel and Morocco Mole; those characters originally came out when I was just a grade-schooler. They were hot whenever spies were the thing. Great weekend to all and especially Happy Mother’s Day to all ladies who are. Alan in GA

  5. It’s always amazing how you find these songs so germane to the puzzle. Who woulda thought a song about NEW DIGS ??
