Good Morning, Everyone…🐻🐼BEAR YE!…BEAR YE! 🐼🐻
🎶Someone told me it’s all happening AT THE ZOO…I do believe it…I do believe it’s true…🎶 “At The Zoo” – Simon & Garfunkel 1967 https://tinyurl.com/4e28nvna
🐻🐼It’s AUTUMN in the Zoo right now, we see two Bears who meet,
A Grizzly and a Panda…and it’s cordially they greet,
The Panda holding Bamboo…GRUBBY, (lack a better word),
The growth of it amazing…and it can get quite absurd…
I’ve seen it cause an UPROAR…when a neighbors tree encroached,
Over a fence and pierced the skin of all who did approach…
Our Panda though in Heaven…as he offers one APIECE,
But will the bamboo ENTICE this here Grizzly to take reach?
A Grizzly, he likes fruit and nuts…with grass thrown in between,
(And I give up on trying to make sense here of the SPLEEN)…
These two may share a species…but there’s not much of a semblance…
The pun today? They’re both bears…Ergo, solve?…BEAR A RESEMBLANCE! 🐼🐻
In all honesty, trying to create a rhyme today with these words and the solve? Tough…beCLAWS they really have nothing to do with one another…I BEARly got through it!…It was like trying to pull BAMBOO out of a hat! …It cut like a knife! But you NOSE I gave it my best SHOOT…I mean shot…
So…At the Zoo…And we see a Grizzly, BEARY POTTER meeting a Panda, PANDA MONIUM. And while we don’t see anything edible in sight for Beary, we do see that Panda has an emBEARassment of riches as far as food goes. That Bamboo? The gift that keeps on giving….But that’s really not RELATIVE, I mean relevant to our puzzle today…What is is that, yes, while different…. https://tinyurl.com/vhfxjdbu the nose, the claws, https://tinyurl.com/ycy96h5x the shaggy fur are similar characteristics…so I guess we can say Beary and Panda do BEAR A RESEMBLANCE… https://tinyurl.com/bdddy42p … And there it is …in BLACK and WHITE…and brown….And that’s it…I give UP…ROAR on your own now…
Jeff’s Gems? A Giraffe in the back NECK of the Zoo, with a man, and a little boy and girl looking on. The little girl is holding a balloon, and if you look closely, you can see that it apBEARS to be in the shape of the head of either Lion or a Tiger. Four others walking in the distance…and then there’s the word ZOO…reading backwards to us beCLAWS we’re on the inside looking out….It’s the little details, Folks…and Jeff always manages to REAL them in…
So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And let’s PAWS today and take a moment to reflect on the good things in life…and not PANDA to all the negativity that’s out there…Let’s be the BEARer of good news…beCLAWS God knows we can all benefit by it….🐻🐼 🙋🏻♀️
Thoughts and prayers to all our readers affected by the tornadoes that have swept through parts of our country. 🙏🏻
We dodged a bullet w the tornadoes as one passed just SE of us Friday night. Thanks for your best wishes.
We’re still dealing with heavy winds here this morning, but the worst of it passed overnight. NJ took the brunt of it in the Tri-state area, and suffered heavy damage…🙋🏻♀️

🗣️The UPROAR, the venting of his SPLEEN over them trying to ENTICE new members with such GRUBBY AUTUMN plantings, offered two APIECE, had the committee saying that he definitely did BEAR A RESEMBLANCE to a tyrant…🗣️
🍁He always loved the AUTUMN, where they’d all take chance APIECE,
Collecting leaves of color before GRUBBY they’d all reach…
The cooler weather did ENTICE them towards hayrides and such,
The UPROAR ‘bout humidity not spoken of so much….
No cloying heat to make him vent his SPLEEN…No just remembrance…
Of crisp clear air which he sees will today BEAR A RESEMBLANCE…🍁
Sure…it might be a difficult day for rhyming this and that…but you always come through and make it work for your readership. Today’s puzzle was a great example of knowing “THE” common word connecting the cartoon dialogue and puzzle answer. Figure that out and the puzzle literally solves itself. Today it was BEAR…or could have been BARE if in quotes. So…”BEAR A” lent itself to a blind solve pretty quickly. Paused a bit on UPROAR and AUTUMN, but all in all, a fun Sunday solve. Angela…always hope you’re feeling more chipper as time goes by.
Tk you, Terry 🙋🏻♀️
Hi Everybody – A blind solve for me too because of “Bear” and the dialogue, but I had to back into both Autumn and Spleen. Uproar also had me stumped until I tried the Up prefix.
Paused on autumn but then w the obvious first word ‘bear’ in the cartoon solution , it was a quick blind solve on a crisp sunny “Palm Sunday’ morning.
It’s Sunday Funday ! I got both the anagrams and the jumble ! Two anagrams had me thinking about the proper spelling , but I got them , and they seemed like APIECE of cake that was easy on the SPLEEN ! Oh yea ! The jumble , when I saw all the letters and comparing two bears , the first word that came out was RESEMBLE , and what was left was A BEAR , which gave me RESEMBLANCE ! Very pleased with getting a Sunday jumble ! What a great week of jumbles , with the jumble family ! I love it ! Angela , you are so punny with your words ! Every one I read puts a smile on me ! Everyone have a great Sunday Funday and get ready for a new jumble week !!!!!!
Tks, Jim 🙋🏻♀️
I did want to comment on your song choice ! Simon and Garfunkel are one of my favorites with their beautiful harmonies ! I was in a band with my brother an one other friend and we did all acoustic harmonies, our third member passed so it was hard to get going again , but that song was a good one ! I just wanted to comment on your choice ! Thanks !

Good morning. Only word I was hung up on was Autumn. When trying to get a blind solve and being stuck I actually fell asleep at the table and woke up twenty minutes later looking at the cartoon again and actually getting a blind solve. Guess the Power nap helped. Cute song choice Angela and hope each day brings you closer to good health. Until tomorrow stay well and be safe.
Good Afternoon, Paul. Tk you. Be well and stay safe out there…🙋🏻♀️
Late start with the Jumble today but I did get all the anagrams and puzzle answer. Good song choice as always Miss Angela. We’ve certainly all had wild weather this winter/spring. I think we’re finally due for a sunny week here which is really good news and the other great news is that the Bay Area is finally considered out of the drought. YES!!
Tk you, Betty. 🙋🏻♀️
