  1. Good Morning, Everyone…🧺A PRESSING ENGAGEMENT? 🧺

    🎶 Here’s a story…🎶”The Brady Bunch Theme Song” – The Brady Bunch Kids (circa) 1971 https://tinyurl.com/ypstdmzy

🧺Alice dated Sam the butcher, throughout years on the show,
Tonight the date, the RODEO…is where they planned to go…
But most times it was bowling where these two would spend their nights,
There never was a POKER game…the ASPECT didn’t seem right…
So “STRING along” throughout the years was what the viewers saw…
Eventually the two did wed…together evermore…
But here today, we see Alice finish what she’s begun..
Carol’s telling her to leave things…but not Alice, she’ll PRESS ON! 🧺

I’ve never seen a single episode of “The Brady Bunch”. https://tinyurl.com/2p8h9xyx …Never. Not a one…But with the popularity of the show, one would have to be living under a rock all these years to not know the basics. So recognizing Florence Henderson as Carol Brady, https://tinyurl.com/2sauzjn8 and Ann B Davis as Alice Nelson https://tinyurl.com/mw9juva3 (that last name I didn’t know) was a no-brainer. I could easily pick them out of any BUNCH…And being a trivia buff, and pretty much in tune with pop culture…(and again, not living under said rock)…I know of Sam https://tinyurl.com/mr2h8hrc too. But even if one knows nothing about the show, or the actors, or the characters…today’s solve is easy, breezy…and took no time at all to IRON out…So between the very leading nature of our question…”A LOT of clothes LEFT to IRON”, and the SPOT-on dialogue of our women…”DON’T…be LATE…FINISH TOMORROW” and “No…(I’ll) FINISH UP”…this one was full STEAM ahead! Bottom line? Looks like Alice is determined to get the job done…so I guess that date doesn’t seem all that PRESSING… because she would …PRESS ON!… https://tinyurl.com/2p8ntud5 …And our CHORES are done for today…with no time at all to be BOARD, nary a WRINKLE, and no one becoming a BASKET case!

Jeff’s Gems? Carol’s shirt, with its elongated pointed collar, bell sleeves, and paisley print, is totally on-POINT for the 70’s. And it’s probably made of Qiana too … https://tinyurl.com/yc73x6uz Alice is shown with a large bead of sweat near her eye…And there’s a baseball bat behind her. I’m sure for Jeff to include it, it must have some significance, but as I mentioned earlier, I’ve never seen the show…And I’m way too PRESSED for time to go searching for a needle in a clothesSTACK…

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And please…no Zoom jokes…They’ve inCREASED way too much lately…and it’s high time we CLOTHES the books on that one… 🧺🙋🏻‍♀️

    • Love a new start of the week Monday ! Let’s hope this week will be a STRING of good jumbles so we all can ride them well onto the RODEO of words ! However the one ASPECT of the anagrams , was difficult to get ! So I gambled a bit of POKER and got it ! So the jumble gave me the iron that o needed to PRESS ON ! Now I’m ready to fold this and get ready for tomorrow ! And Angela I can’t believe you never saw an episode of the Brady bunch ! I probably watched them all ! And how ironic , that my mother raised me and my two brothers and three sisters ! It was pretty coincidental, and we loved the show ! So everyone have a great start of the week , Monday ! That is why they call us , the Jumble bunch , the Jumble bunch. !!!!!!!

  2. 🤷🏻‍♂️Having lost the RODEO horse in the POKER game, he tried his best to PRESS ON…but the ASPECT of explaining it all to his partners was daunting…so he decided to STRING them along for a while…🤷🏻‍♂️

👍🏻The old man loved the RODEO…that, POKER and beer,
The mere ASPECT of losing them gave him feelings of drear…
He liked his life, no STRING attached…he was dubbed Carefree John…
And his intent? To stay that way…content to just PRESS ON! 👍🏻

  3. Such an easy Monday morning Jumble…yet so far away !!! I was going kinda fast this morning to finish, and saw the ON, but didn’t quite put it together. Days like this really take the batting average way down !! Anyway, unscrambled and solved it lickedy-split and moving on. Angela, can’t quite say I’ve ever seen whole episodes of The Brady Bunch either….and didn’t get the connection of Alice dating that guy. Don’t think the family sat around and watched it together back when. Enjoy the start of the week !!

  4. Good morning. A nice start to a new week. Nothing to get excited about but a smooth beginning never the less. I saw no connection to the Brady Bunch until I read your comments Angela. That flew right over my head. It’s hard to believe there are people out there that never watched a show. Until tomorrow stay well and be safe.

  5. An easy Monday solve for all of us on a rainy Monday. Interesting we have an ironing pressing jumble on a Monday. Growing up, Monday was washing day w the clothes drying on an outside line in the summer and in the attic in the winter, and then Tuesday being the ironing day .We had an old fashioned wringer wash machine and no automatic dryer.

  6. Easy Monday morning solve. Miss Angela I’m joining you and tcapp as the third person who has never watched The Brady Bunch. Like Paul, I too made no connection with them in the cartoon until I saw your comments. Wishing all a good day

    • …And I’m sure we’re not alone, Betty…although till this day the show does still have its legion of loyal followers. Funny thing is, as I mentioned, I seem to know a good deal about the show, just from media coverage, trivia contests and pop culture in general. And you have to give props to Jeff on the likenesses of both the women…he captured the essence of them well….Especially Carol Brady’s hairdo! That was a show in itself! Have a good one, Betty! 🙋🏻‍♀️

  7. The Jumble STATic…A little recap…
Last week it was Thursday’s puzzle that caused the most static and generated the most views to our site. DOMESSTICATED” proved to be a stumper, and we ended the day with a handful shy of 79,600 views. 🙋🏻‍♀️

    • Very interesting and yes I could see the static ! Just a thought , the theme song to the Brady bunch show , did you like my last sentence about 🎵 the jumble bunch ! 🎵 put a smile on me ! Have a great day !!

  8. Angela, like you, I’ve never seen an episode of the Brady Bunch, so I have no idea who the three are. I’ve seen a few short clips, so I might recognize some people, but don’t know their names.

Very easy today. ASPECT took a little effort, but everything else was easy.

    • Hi Dennis. As I was just telling Betty, you really don’t have to have watched a certain show to be privy to a lot of it…But The Brady Buch has generated a lot of ink over the years. Plus this isn’t the first time it’s been featured in the Jumble. And again, the name Alice, and Jeff’s spot-on images locked it up for me. But as far as the solve goes, it had nothing to do with the show itself…it could have been anyone of a million people ironing clothes. IMO, It just made the puzzle a lot more fun by incorporating that bit of whimsy! Have a good one, Dennis! 🙋🏻‍♀️
