His lawn beautifully manicured, he kept it looking grand…
So when he saw a tree whose branches looked a tad EMPTY,
He SHYLY called the nursery…did the fault lie with he?
A man of MODEST means he was…the tree one of few gems…
So having to replace it? Why?…it surely had STUMPED THEM! 🪵
“I think that I shall never see…a poem as lovely as a tree”…Except of course one with dry rot…Then all we see is a STUMP…
Today’s puzzle, as did yesterday’s, brings to BLIGHT, I mean light, a pretty common Homeowner’s problem. You plant a tree, you watch it grow…and then somehow it just doesn’t LIVE up to your LOFTY expectations…And we see our men here today not thinking MULCH of the situation…as they stare at a STUMP…The poor Homeowner, PINE-ing over it…He tried keeping it alive with all his WILL…OW the humanity! The anagrams were right there for me except I couldn’t get the third one , and I’m not being MODEST ! But the jumble came after I wrote down PUSHED , TESTED, but then STUMPED came ! And THEM was left ! So the question STUMPED THEM not me ! Everyone have a great taco -Tuesday, and I hope I got all my noun and adjectives in proper form !

Nothing much to note for today’s Jumble…not too cryptic, not too difficult…great song. That about sums it up. A quick blind solve followed by easily solved anagrams. I haven’t been stumped in the last few days…but am sure my day of reckoning is right around the corner. But until then….will enjoy Taco Tuesday !!

Thank you, Miss Angela. It’s been pretty wild around here – we’ve had no rain for ages and now day after day there’s a deluge. I live right in the city and not in an area prone to flooding but certainly feel for my neighbors who are not so fortunate – trees down, no power & flooding. Time to build an ark?? 🛳
