  1. Good Morning, Everyone 🌏 WHAT IN THE WORLD? 🌏

🎶 You’re clear OUT OF THIS WORLD…When I’m looking at you…I hear out of this world, the music that no mortal ever knew…🎶 “Out of This World” – Miss Ella Fitzgerald 1959 https://tinyurl.com/47zez7mn

🌏At one time thought to be ABSURD, you’d hear the people SQUAWK,
So POTENT was the disbelief at crazy spacecraft talk…
“What’s next a ride on Santa’s SLEIGH, or on a PIRATE ship,
    We’ll CROUCH down in a capsule…and take off on a space trip”?…
But years went by and now the naysayers? You can hear crickets…
Soon we may really be in line to get those ROUND-TRIP TICKETS! 🌏

With five of today’s words having been seen this year, and the sixth from ‘20, they’re all recognizable. And for a Sunday, we’re enjoying all new anagrams…not an easy task considering it’s six words…But as far as today’s solve goes, it’s so up front in our question…we might not have really needed the dialogue. The words “COMPLETELY ORBIT” = ROUND-TRIP, with the hyphen an additional giveaway…But then adding in the dialogue…”Just saw the WHOLE planet” and “BACK home”? An extra added bonus. Plus the “First class flight”? = TICKETS. Clever…but we were given such a whole WORLD of information today…it had to be a successful LAUNCH back into our mainSTREAM puzzles!…Those first space tourists?…Had ROUND-TRIP TICKETS!

The passengers? I think I see a scripted “J” on the blouse of the woman at back, and we might be seeing David next to her…but as for the others? It’s all UP IN THE AIR…

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…and if this ever does become a reality in our lifetime? …You’re definitely more than welcome to my ticket…🌏🙋🏻‍♀️

    I STAND WITH UKRAINE 💔🇺🇦
…And my thoughts and prayers are with my fellow NY’ers upstate. 🙏🏻

    ALL NEW!!

  3. 💨💨It turned out to be an ABSURD idea to CROUCH down on the ground and try to repair the SLEIGH in such terrible weather, and with so many complaints and the repeated SQUAWK of wanting retribution in the form of ROUND-TRIP TICKETS to a warmer climate…one of them decided to go off to PIRATE something POTENT enough to warm themselves…💨❄️

🦜 He sounded like a PIRATE every time that he would SQUAWK,
The sound so loud and POTENT no one could hear himself talk…
This parrot so ABSURD at times, he’d CROUCH and then he’d splay,
Out on the tiny SLEIGH put in his cage for him to play…
The employees finally had it…and they’re threatening to picket…
If the bird isn’t sent packing…with no chance of ROUND-TRIP TICKETS…🦜

  4. Visiting family in Ft Worth….so don’t have my usual arsenal of Jumble unsolvers at my disposal. That said, completed anagrams, but picked out wrong word ROCKETS to help stumble down the wrong road. Till tomorrow…

    • Understandable…Once you have a word stuck in your head, it’s hard to recover…Here’s to tomorrow, Terry. Enjoy your day.🌏🙋🏻‍♀️

  5. Good morning Sunday Funday ! I got all the anagrams but SLEIGH ! Couldn’t get the jumble ! ROUND was the first word and I also saw Rockets like Terry , but the other two words didn’t give me any TRIP TICKETS ! Everyone have a good Sunday and get ready for a new jumble week !

  6. Hi Everyone – For the answer, I was at first thinking more along the lines of what the space tourists “will have” when they return to earth, such as amazing memories. But looking at the letters, I found some related words – trip, ride, round and rockets (like Terry and Jim) – which led me to the hyphenated word.

    • Looks like Rockets is a landslide! 😉 Kudos for sticking it out, Caroline! Have a good one! 🌏🙋🏻‍♀️

  7. Oh, how holidays have evolved
Round the Earth we’ve just revolved
    What a wonderful spin
Through the air was quite thin
Now our annual vacation is solved!

  8. I got the words without any problems, but the answer took a lot of effort. I saw some KETS words–TICKETS, rockets, pockets. With TICKETS, I made a minor error, changing an R to a T, so found DONUT-TRIP TICKETS. I tried the other KETS words, then went back to TICKETS and found my error. My guess was that they won’t serve donuts on the trip.

    • I really didn’t think this one would be a stumper today, with the “Completely Orbit” right there in the question, but I guess I was wrong. But the donuts? 😂 Let’s face it…if this did come to be, for what it would cost? They need to be serving some serious gourmet meals up there! 😂 Kudos for sticking it out, Dennis. Enjoy your day. 🌏🙋🏻‍♀️

  9. Another vote here for seeing rockets first. Finally figured out it was tickets and of course studying the dialogue and cartoon clue – orbit- realized it was round and trip. I do like the idea of donut trip tickets 🍩 – very clever. Happy Sunday all.

    • LOL! Clever, yes…but let’s put our cards on the table here…you know you’d be giving up your ticket just as quick as me! 😂😂 Happy Sunday to you too, Betty. 🌏🙋🏻‍♀️

      • Girl, you know me too well. I’m spaced out enough here on Terra Firma – no desire to go into outer space 🚀Someone else can have my ticket. I’ll stick to donuts 🍩 here on earth.🌏

        • Like a book! 😂😂 Outer space…yeah, right…I’m with you. I’ll sit it out and live out food fantasies instead! 🍰🍝🙋🏻‍♀️

  10. Good afternoon. Like most of the others, I was able to get all the words but fell short on the cartoon answer. Once I looked it up I see that it was an easy one to get. Loved your song choice Angela. First time hearing that one. She really is enjoyable to listen to. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

    • Good Afternoon, Paul. Tk you.And I agree, Miss Ella had an exceptionally beautiful voice. I’m surprised you’re not familiar with the song, though, or maybe just not her rendition. It was recorded a ton of times, I know for sure I have Sinatra’s and Tony Bennett’s in the vault…Have a good one, Paul. Be well and stay safe…🌏🙋🏻‍♀️

  11. I use the online Jumble, except on Sundays when I get the actual paper. On Saturday I could not get the puzzle online. I tried again today with no luck. I saw a comment online suggesting the storm in NY has maybe caused a problem with uploading the Jumble to the website.

Is anyone else having a problem?

    • Hi Ray. I don’t know what online site you use, but I know the Tribune papers didn’t have a problem yesterday. And I’m in downstate NY and I haven’t heard anything…although I’ve purposely been avoiding the news today…I can’t take hearing of another senseless shooting…Here’s a link you can use for yesterday’s puzzle. 🙋🏻‍♀️
