  1. Good Morning, Everyone…📈WITH HER FEET HELD TO THE HIRE! 📈

    🎶 With folks like me on the JOB from 9 to 5…WORKing 9 to 5, what a way to make a living…🎶 “9 to 5” – Miss Dolly Parton 1980 https://tinyurl.com/35pspvw7

📈 The sales so SWIFT to mount up, talk of hiring being spoken,
They’d hate to lag behind now and have their momentum BROKEN…
When things are going smooth like this, an easy, SILKY pace,
The time is right to hire staff…get bodies in the place…She posted in the neighborhood, the TAVERN and the Church,
Helping to get the message out that she’s starting a search…
The online ad, the sign she holds…she can’t afford to shirk….
Since time is of the essence…she needs get things IN THE WORKS! 📈

I’m not sure what type of a business is opening here, but the boxes on the floor contain “Jumble Masterpiece” Books, https://tinyurl.com/yc2ttn47 which were issued last year, and “I ❤️Jumble” Mugs… https://tinyurl.com/24a8xamv

So…Opening a business and in need of a staff to WORK…And our dialogue and question, along with the NOW HIRING sign being held by the owner, gave us just the HELP we WANTED to solve this one…The process is …IN THE WORKS! https://tinyurl.com/yc8x7m26

So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…and here’s to an enjoyable Labor Day. 📈🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 👗After a patron caught the skirt of her SILKY dress on the BROKEN stool in the TAVERN, the owner was SWIFT to get repairs IN THE WORKS…👗

🎤 The singer had a SILKY voice, and sung ‘bout BROKEN hearts,
The patrons in the TAVERN took to him right from the start…
So SWIFT was their reaction…for the business such a perk…
A contract drawn to keep him was already IN THE WORKS! 🎤

  3. Welcome Monday ! New week of jumbles , and to start it off , another week like last week of jumble jubilee ! The anagrams were SWIFT and SILKY except for the two that left me in a BROKEN TAVERN ! But I worked hard and repaired them ! The jumble came right to me as I was IN THE WORKS ! Great start of the week Monday ! Another great song choice ! Love Dolly ! Have a great day !

  4. Yikes….I had a difficult time Jumbling on a Monday. No blind solve and had trouble with TAVERN….I had to back that one in after I tried solving the cartoon puzzle with only 5 letters….which I did, then found I needed RN for TAVERN. Whew !! Cute little movie and song to match. See you at the Taco shack on Tuesday.

  5. Good morning. Thank goodness for Mondays. Usually an easy jumble to get us started on a new week. This one did not disappoint us. Easy breezy from the words to the cartoon answer. No blind solve because I went straight to the words then wrote down the letters before looking at the picture. It’s just automatic with me. Loved your song choice Angela and the movie to boot. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

  6. These days if you’re looking to hire
    The situation is really dire
    It seems there are few
    Maybe just one or two
Are they lacking in drive or desire?

  7. Solving the answer was quick, but it took a while to find BROKEN.

It was 108 here yesterday, and will probably be about the same today in SoCal. Very unusual.

  8. When I looked at the fourth word, the first word that came to my mind was BONKER. Is that a word? I know the creators of these Jumbles at times go BONKERS trying to make them, but is it possible to go a single BONKER? Is that the same as going a single banana? Or can one come down with a single measle? Or can one have a single pant, tweezer, plier, mump, Texa (so that more than one Texa is Texas), oasi, or scissor? Allen Sherman’s idea for the singular for scissors is a single siz. In any case, BONKER does not lead to a solution. If it did, this Jumble would be BROKEN.

  9. Despite the absence of a real paper due to the holiday, I had a quick solve after a pause on tavern! Have a great Labor Day holiday and enjoy the unofficial end of summer!

  10. Morning Jumblers and Happy Labor Day ! It’s been a busy week preparing for our yearly Italian family reunion Clambake (over 8dz clams consumed and that’s a record – usually it’s alot more) and food galore ! But it didn’t stop me from the jumble – Angela it was a perfect song you picked ! The puzzle was just not coming to me, but words were great ! Maybe because my brain was too “clammy” ! Until tomorrow – have a sunny day ! 🌞

  11. 🤷🏻‍♀️The job market…it’s definitely changed,
With flex hours and days rearranged…
    But to start something new?
Can’t be out of the blue….
    And requires some serious exchange…🤷🏻‍♀️

➕Seems it’s hard to get people to work,
So employers bring out all the perks…
    Competition is tough,
    So said perks run amok…
Luring managers, waiters or clerks! ➕

🙇🏻‍♀️The pandemic turned things upside down,
Here in NY we saw a ghost town…
    Brick and mortar went blank,
    Business profits? They shrank…
And a lot of small business did drown🙇🏻‍♀️

    ❓Optimism is here on display,
Our girl’s looking for her big payday…
    Will her business advance?
Or does she stand the chance…
Of seeing those blue skies turn gray?❓

💻 Bottom line it’s a crapshoot for sure,
And she hopes people come through the door….
    Today? Easy to buy,
    Sitting on the lanai…
Online shopping def the choice du jour! 💻

  12. Like others, I too paused at tavern but once I got that one the cartoon was an easy solve and very appropriate for today. It’s the end of summer but here in S.F. Our summer is just beginning. It’s supposed to be in the 80’s here today which is positively hot for us. Hope all of you have a good Labor Day!

  13. Hi Everyone – I thought Bonker might possibly be a word. But while Bonk and Bonkers are words, Bonker is definitely not. I agree the answer was an easy one.
