🤷🏻♂️The discussion amongst the TARGET AUDIENCE centered on whether or not the coinage of a certain ADAGE was the work of a GENIUS…but when the speaker chosen for a CAMEO appearance strongly disagreed, the temperature in the room grew considerably HOTTER…🤷🏻♂️
🧥 She loved her heirloom CAMEO, and wore it at her neck,
But as weather grew HOTTER, she had to keep things in check…
It didn’t take a GENIUS to know high-necked tops were out,
She didn’t need an ADAGE to explain…there was no doubt…
She changed the decor of the shop…her outfits too, so hence…
No wearing of the brooch to reach her TARGET AUDIENCE…🧥
🍻Playing darts does require a skill,
Serious players go in for the kill…
And there’s usually beer,

Well , end of the week with another one to make me feel colder and not HOTTER ! And to give more ADAGE the GENIUS had me thinking it was SUEING , so it did not make a CAMEO appearance . I really like playing darts , but I couldn’t see any bulls eye in the jumble ! So I ended the week of jumbles like darts with no needle to stick on the board ! Great song Angela ! Everyone enjoy the weekend and hit a bulls eye !!!!

Good morning. Got the words but darn if I could even come close to getting the clever cartoon answer. When I finally looked it up I smiled because the clue was clearly there. Escaped Texas heat and doing Jumble in SFO ..What a difference?? No clue but Marsha jumped onto a blind solve…and I followed with anagrams. I, too paused on CAMEO. Spot on song. Played a lot of darts while stationed at RAF Lakenheath a few years ago !!

I found this to be one of the hardest puzzles ever. I seldom have ever heard the word “target” used when playing darts. Then again, I’ve seldom ever played darts. I thought the pub and British pounds featured meant it had an English answer. I also was dumb and though sueing was a word, but in the end, it was the same 4 letters anyway. Had it been related to archery, I probably could have gotten the word target for starters, but my total lack of familiarity with the terminology surrounding the game of darts meant I failed at this one. I solve 99% of them, but not this one. I found the answer completely over my head and I would have never gotten it without looking it up.

I don’t think the cartoon answer was fair. In darts you are throwing at a dartboard, not a target as in archery or shooting. Also they were recruiting participants, not an audience. There is a big different between competing and just watching.

“Darts or dart-throwing is a competitive sport in which two or more players bare-handedly throw small sharp-pointed missiles known as darts at a round TARGET known as a dartboard.” …Target does seem fair play…Plus note the definition of TARGET AUDIENCE that I’ve also included. Definitely fair play…Today’s puzzle might not be as easy as some, but I think the common idiom it is a very clever one. Be well…and stay safe out there. 🎯🙋🏻♀️
