  1. Good Morning, Everyone 🎯WHEN THE AD HITS THE SPOT 🎯

🎶 Whoa, the GAMES people PLAY now..Every night and every day now…🎶 “Games People Play” – Joe South 1968 https://tinyurl.com/34ttf3bf

🎯 It seems that we’re in London, where the pubs are known for darts,
Top players make appearances…their CAMEO an art…
These players are quite GENIUS, and HOTTER grows interest,
They have a favorite ADAGE that sings praises of the best…
The pubs advertise matches, and it builds up the suspense…
And so they cater to the crew deemed TARGET AUDIENCE! 🎯

Darts … https://tinyurl.com/4ryyy475 …The object? To hit the TARGET. So the pub advertising to the dart players that frequent the establishment? And the pub owner specifically mentioning…”your CREW”, POINTing it out to the patron with the darts in his hand, as he orders two drinks? Our solve?…Advertising to their TARGET AUDIENCEhttps://tinyurl.com/pbp6bz8m And all I can say is…easy, breezy, POINT well taken!

    The Gem? The prize…£ 100…Toto, I’ve a feeling we’re not in Kansas anymore…LONDON BRIDGEd the gap…

So…There you have it Folks…Done! Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…and this puzzle reminds me of what happened with a friend of mine recently… He was at a bar, throwing darts at his wife’s picture…and not a single one hit the target. She walked in, saw her picture on the wall, and asked what was he doing. He answered..”Missing you”….And that’s when the fight started…🎯🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🤷🏻‍♂️The discussion amongst the TARGET AUDIENCE centered on whether or not the coinage of a certain ADAGE was the work of a GENIUS…but when the speaker chosen for a CAMEO appearance strongly disagreed, the temperature in the room grew considerably HOTTER…🤷🏻‍♂️

🧥 She loved her heirloom CAMEO, and wore it at her neck,
But as weather grew HOTTER, she had to keep things in check…
It didn’t take a GENIUS to know high-necked tops were out,
She didn’t need an ADAGE to explain…there was no doubt…
She changed the decor of the shop…her outfits too, so hence…
No wearing of the brooch to reach her TARGET AUDIENCE…🧥

  3. 🍻Playing darts does require a skill,
Serious players go in for the kill…
    And there’s usually beer,
    Goes with the little spears…
And together they both fill the bill! 🍻

👁 Steady hands and a really good eye,
Are required as a dart does fly…
    With the target so small,
    Players give it their all…
Hoping their dart doesn’t go awry…👁

🎯At the neighborhood pub they will be,
Sunday night for the bar’s dart tourney…
And a purse can be scored,
    If you defeat the board…
And you’re not brought down upon your knees! 🎯

🗣Our barkeep is seen spreading the word,
    And she’s asking patrons if they’ve heard…
    That there’s money to win,
If they’ve got the right spin…
And play without becoming deterred! 🗣

💲There’s the throw line behind one must stand,
As you fling your dart hoping to land…
It in just the right spot,
So that you’ll win the pot…
And have things turn out just as you planned! 💲

  4. Well , end of the week with another one to make me feel colder and not HOTTER ! And to give more ADAGE the GENIUS had me thinking it was SUEING , so it did not make a CAMEO appearance . I really like playing darts , but I couldn’t see any bulls eye in the jumble ! So I ended the week of jumbles like darts with no needle to stick on the board ! Great song Angela ! Everyone enjoy the weekend and hit a bulls eye !!!!

  5. Good morning. Got the words but darn if I could even come close to getting the clever cartoon answer. When I finally looked it up I smiled because the clue was clearly there. Audience was never even a thought. Nicely done. Enjoyed the song Angela but don’t ever remember the singer. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

    • Good Morning, Paul. Tks…glad you enjoyed it. South was much better known as a songwriter, having penned hits for many other artists. https://tinyurl.com/346huxa2 Have a good one. And wishing you be well and safe too. 🎯🙋🏻‍♀️

    • Escaped Texas heat and doing Jumble in SFO ..What a difference?? No clue but Marsha jumped onto a blind solve…and I followed with anagrams. I, too paused on CAMEO. Spot on song. Played a lot of darts while stationed at RAF Lakenheath a few years ago !!

  6. Happy morning – I’m happy since I’ve been able to solve the puzzle and anagrams with no problem – YEA !
The old “ADAGE” “the “HOTTER” the pan, the quicker it burns” – whatever “GENIUS” thought that one up needs to have a “CAMEO” interview with the “TARGET AUDIENCE” ! Until tomorrow – have a sunny day and SMILE – it’s the best way to prevent ulcers !

  7. I found this to be one of the hardest puzzles ever. I seldom have ever heard the word “target” used when playing darts. Then again, I’ve seldom ever played darts. I thought the pub and British pounds featured meant it had an English answer. I also was dumb and though sueing was a word, but in the end, it was the same 4 letters anyway. Had it been related to archery, I probably could have gotten the word target for starters, but my total lack of familiarity with the terminology surrounding the game of darts meant I failed at this one. I solve 99% of them, but not this one. I found the answer completely over my head and I would have never gotten it without looking it up.

    • Hi Erin…As you know, we don’t create the puzzles here, we just do commentary on them. Thank you for commenting, and I’m glad we were here to help with the solve. Take care …🎯🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. I don’t think the cartoon answer was fair. In darts you are throwing at a dartboard, not a target as in archery or shooting. Also they were recruiting participants, not an audience. There is a big different between competing and just watching.

    • Hi Ray, I’m not familiar with darts at all…by any means, but note the opening lines of the link I’ve included in the post…
“Darts or dart-throwing is a competitive sport in which two or more players bare-handedly throw small sharp-pointed missiles known as darts at a round TARGET known as a dartboard.” …Target does seem fair play…Plus note the definition of TARGET AUDIENCE that I’ve also included. Definitely fair play…Today’s puzzle might not be as easy as some, but I think the common idiom it is a very clever one. Be well…and stay safe out there. 🎯🙋🏻‍♀️
