Good Morning, Everyone…. I hope this finds you well…
🗣PUTTING YOUR MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS! 🗣
🎶 TALKING is cheap people follow like sheep…Even though there is no where to go…SILENCE IS GOLDEN…but my eyes still see…Silence is golden, golden….But my eyes still see…🎶 “Silence Is Golden” – The Four Seasons 1964 https://tinyurl.com/2p9fnmx8
🗣A lot to auction off today, yes, “lot” was meant as pun,
I thought I’d INFUSE it in there…as soon as I’d begun…
We see a painting up for grabs, a noted one to boot,
And it’s the Mime who scored it…he must have some serious loot…
Next up a TOPAZ LOCKET, a SHINY one at that,
I wonder if the Mime intends once more to be at bat
He better watch his money though…not proceed without caution…
Actions speak louder than words…even at a SILENT AUCTION!🗣
Ok…Let’s face it Folks, this one’s just too easy for WORDS. No pun intended. What can I SAY? Wayyyy too easy. He’s a Mime…and he made a bid at a SILENT AUCTION… https://tinyurl.com/5n6fc2ve ’Nuff SAID…or not! Because if that’s not enough, look closely at the rest of the characters…This one just SPEAKS for itself…
So…Let me PAINT you a PICTURE…Today we find ourselves at the Mummers https://tinyurl.com/58vf8cxd Auction House, and we see our auctioneer, Teller, https://tinyurl.com/4an8cubv the NON-SPEAKING half of the comedy-magic duo Penn & Teller. Hysterical display of Jeff’s whimsy. The painting up for bid? “The Scream”! https://tinyurl.com/24tybdhs And you gotta love the irony there…another BID of Jeff’s wit. As for the potential buyers? The clown, cash in hand, is Puddles https://tinyurl.com/mdcbh5t of Puddle’s Pity Party , another non-verbal character. The mime, money in one white-gloved hand while gesturing with the other for the win? I guess I’d PUT MY MONEY on Marcel Marceau. https://tinyurl.com/bdj4jpyx And the last player in our scenario? Comedian Sam Willis, aka “Tape Face”, who’s now performing at Harrahs https://tinyurl.com/2p95an3x in Vegas; and who wowed the judges on “America’s Got Talent’ back in 2016, https://tinyurl.com/4p9znddu where he made it to the finals while never speaking a word….Quite a crew, if I do SAY so myself…And Jeff fit it all into our FRAME! A definite SHOUT-OUT, Jeff! It’s A LOT!
So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And I’ll leave you with a little puzzle-related humor…A guy was recently stuck at an auction, bidding on a house with a very lengthy corridor…Poor guy…he was in it for the LONG HALL…Hmm…Ok, Ok…I’m GOING…ONCE…GOING TWICE…🗣🙋🏻♀️

📿 The hottest item at the SILENT AUCTION had to be my SHINY TOPAZ LOCKET and I did my best to INFUSE interest in it… 📿
📿 She has a favorite LOCKET, so SHINY and so light,
She’d INFUSE it in solution to keep it looking bright,
It has a perfect TOPAZ…a stone she’d never shun…
And her Father bought it years ago at a SILENT AUCTION…📿
Not easy peasy but not hard…..
Enjoying the task.
Tomorrow should be fine.
Grandma’s “LOCKET” was “INFUSED” with a “SHINY” gem of “TOPAZ” that she gave up for the “SILENT AUCTION” ! Short and sweet today – great jumble and fun, but poor Grandma gave her favorite locket away ! Until tomorrow – everyone have a sunny day !
Same to you, Suz! 🙋🏻♀️
Yes, looking at Angela’s post….it was an easy cartoon puzzle. Alas, though, I was stumped. Did not have on my thinking cap, in a bit of a hurry and with all anagrams solved, just didn’t put it together. Yes, I will kick myself a few times today. Great song. A disappointing start of the Jumble week…hopefully better tomorrow. Happy Monday
Tks, Terry. And a Happy Monday to you too! 🙋🏻♀️
🤷🏻♂️ No one’s speaking but things do get done,
One must wonder if they’re having fun…
With “The Scream” on the block,
And Marcel with the lock…
Looks like silence is second to none! 🤷🏻♂️
👍🏻Things were quiet as bidding went down,
And we see Puddle wearing a frown…
Far as “Tape Face” concerned?
Looks like it’s a slow burn…
While Marcel’s bought the painting renowned! 👍🏻
🗣Silent Auction the theme of the day,
And we’re seeing “The Scream” on display…
Tiller “calls” for a price,
It’s a roll of the dice…
And for these guys not easy to say! 🗣
👏🏻 It’s all done with a gesture and nod,
‘Cause we’re dealing with the “Silent Squad”
But the points get across,
To Marcel it’s no loss…
And his win we should truly applaud! 👏🏻
💰 Silence Golden seems definitely the rule,
Tiller’s looking to remain quite cool…
While the money comes in,
And Marcel wears a grin…
And the others both seem to get schooled! 💰
Great limericks Angela. Nothing for me to add today.
Tk you, Helen. 🙋🏻♀️
Should SILENT be in the cartoon clue? It has 5 anagrams. Especially with AUCTION, which has an anagram CAUTION. This creates potentially 9 shadow solutions already. It could be a LISTEN AUCTION. The people are listening carefully to the auctioneer. It could be a TINSEL AUCTION. It could be near Santa Claus time. It could be an ENLIST AUCTION. The auctioneer is recruiting for helpers. It could be held near tributaries to the ocean, a bay, or a river; an INLETS AUCTION. And each of these could be with CAUTION instead. LISTEN CAUTION. The buyers need to listen carefully to what the auctioneer says, and there are three other possibilities with CAUTION. And don’t tell me I CANNOT UTILISE these possibilities. They are there, after all. And what kind of ANTICS OUTLINE did the auctioneer draw up?
Bless your heart! 🤦🏻♀️
Good morning Monday , start of a new week ! Back on track and I’m loving it ! The anagrams were as SHINY as the TOPAZ ! It felt real real good and fun ! I did not have to INFUSE any word ! So I’m gonna put this one in a LOCKET ! The jumble was not quiet , it was loud and clean ! As soon as I saw the mime , I thought shhhh quiet ! So the word SILENT was there and it was easy to see they were selling with their emotions and faces without a word spoken for a SILENT AUCTION ! Great start of a new week ! Everyone have a great day !!!!
You too, Jim.🙋🏻♀️

Good morning. Love these Mondays. They ease you in with usually one that’s not difficult, as was the case today. No problem with either the words or cartoon answer. When I saw your song choice Angela, it put a smile on my face. You picked a good one to go with the theme. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.
Good Morning, Paul. Tk you…you know I love to make you smile. Glad you enjoyed it…it is a good one. Enjoy your day…Be well and stay safe out there…🙋🏻♀️

Anagrams and final cartoon a clean sweep for ‘washday’ Monday.Growing up,Monday was washday, and Tuesday, ironing day.
Easy solve this morning and and many clever gems in the cartoon. Must confess that for some reason, mimes really give me the creeps. Have a good Monday all!
Same here, Betty, Not a fan. Happy Monday to you too. 🙋🏻♀️
Possibly it’s the clown-like apparel, make-up of mimes such as Marcel Marceau that put people off. As a second-language teacher I’ve used a lot of mimes in my career to convey meaning.
