    🪶FEATHER SHE’S LATE OR NOT…SHE’S NEVER IN A FOWL MOOD🪶

    🪶 Today we see a woman whose career may seem absurd,
    She’s heard the joke a million times…”Your job is for the birds”…
    Too bad she’s not an AUTHOR, a “tail” she’d truly tell,
    Of all the “wild” cases that she’s managed to make well…
    Birds DRENCH themselves in comfort, a TV MOVIE plays…
    (Most days it’s Alfred Hitchcock…they are def set in their ways)…
    They WRING their feathers when they’re called…much work here for a broom…
    But there is never fly-by-night within her “WADING” ROOM! 🪶

    Ok. Only one repeat anagram this morning, and all four of them are easy, breezy. We FLEW right through them. The solve? Had it the minute I took a GANDER. Yes, I know some of you suffer from Quotation Trepidation, but trust me, you’re ROBIN yourselves of the fun if you don’t go with the FLEW,I mean flow…If you just take a deep breath and a SWALLOW, you’ll see that you don’t need an EAGLE eye to solve these puzzles that offer them. They’re clues in themselves…Today’s? It’s all right there in our cartoon…The dialogue’s telling us that the Doctor’s kept her patients WAITING…Look at where all the patients are…In a WADING pool…Look at the trail of wet web prints…Ok…I’m WADING…Got it? …Our Dr has a “WADING” ROOM! What else?

    And as for the rest of our cartoon…There’s a painting of the sun setting over a marsh. Homey…We see the Dr’s running late…I guess she’s HERON her own…but at least she is offering her EGRETS to her patients. Let’s face it, we all know how some doctors can be…They just CRANE their necks at the waiting crowd without even a never you mind…(Hmm..I wonder if she’s humming that great Eric Carmen song🎶… https://tinyurl.com/2p9fhn7e 🎶 *…HOO knows)…And she’s wearing WADING boots! That QUACKED me up…The Heron https://tinyurl.com/2we2c2hk is reading from his phone, while the white Egret https://tinyurl.com/y2dmk379, (another type of Heron) is the one lauding the Dr’s magazine selections…(which can be seen at the back wall)…And I think that’s Pinky, the Flamingo https://tinyurl.com/4djc7e63, with the broken wing, who doesn’t look exactly tickled pink to be the next one getting TWEETment…BUTT whoever that is with his head under water? We can CRANE https://tinyurl.com/yc26ee28 our necks…BUTT we’ll never know…Maybe that’s Pinky…And lastly, the ramp. I guess that’s for the patients that can’t just WING it and fly into the exam room…

  3. 🤷🏻‍♂️ As the AUTHOR sat in the WAITING ROOM, he’d WRING his hands every so often and thought to himself…”When I get out of here, I’ll either have a MOVIE deal or I’ll be forced to DRENCH my agent in guilt…”🤷🏻‍♂️

    🤷🏻‍♂️The word DRENCH always seemed to him odd,
    Thoughts of downpours and muddy thick sod…
    As an AUTHOR he constantly thought,
    Of which words were right and which proved naught…
    So his mind would just WRING itself dry…
    Real success or just pie-in-the-sky?…
    Maybe MOVIE script…or book sale doom?…
    Maybe title his next..WAITING ROOM? 🤷🏻‍♂️

  4. Good morning ! This puzzle was so funny – I just kept picturing all these birds swimming and flapping around in the office “WADING ROOM” ! I loved it and it was a pretty easy solve for me ! The only word that gave me avian flu was “DRENCH” ! Angela thank you for the trip down memory lane with your song choice – i remember hearing and singing that song many times – it was great !

  5. Good morning , taco Tuesday ! I’m gonna need some tacos cause I just couldn’t get the jumble ! I was WADING around the room for a long time ! I saw wing , mood , warming , and I couldn’t get it ! I felt like an AUTHOR of an old western movie and I stepped in a hole and got DRENCH and I had to WRING out my clothes ! So the doctor had all these birds in a pool of water in the WADING ROOM ! Well , I flew south ! Everyone have a great taco Tuesday !!!

    Doctor needs to check under that sling…
    Hoping progress was made,
    So he’ll once again wade…
    And no longer the other wing wring! 🦩

    🦤 With a wading pool there center court,
    We see fowl of such various sort…
    And they each wait their turn,
    The egrets and the terns…
    So real illness they’re able to thwart! 🦤

    🪶 With a ramp placed for easy egress,
    ‘Llowing birds to retain their finesse…
    If they can’t take on wing,
    Comfort’s what the ramp brings…
    And ensures that the birds feel no stress! 🪶

  7. Good morning. After awhile I came up with WRING on the second word but when I checked all four for correct spelling my phone would not take that word. Yet when I put the scrambled letters in the auto correct it came up that way. I went old school and took out my Dictionary and there it was. Other than that the cartoon answer even partially in quotation marks was a breeze. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

  8. Anagrams came easily but the puzzle solve, oh, what a bird brain I am. I couldn’t Wring out the answer and it was like sitting in a Drench of rain while watching a bad Movie from a struggling Author. Actually, a Drench of Rain is badly needed here in OO. And so it goes.

    Making sure each is back up to grade.

    For those of you who have been to Florida, perhaps you have visited the sanctuary for injured/sick seabirds, on the Gulf coast, in Redington/Indian Shores (Tampa Bay area.) Many of the birds cannot be rehabilitated and are well cared for.

    • Went down a wrong path with WING in the puzzle. Solving anagrams didn’t help, altho I saw the ING. Marsha took a quick look and blind solved it !! Yes, the whole scene is pretty hilarious.

Just a little note on choosing the various 4-letter words which caused the solve to just FLY away..By now we all know that whenever we see quotation marks, there’s our clue to knowing that the word they surround is going to be your pun…your solve. The puzzle centered around the WADING POOL that was in the WAITING ROOM. The dialogue mentioned that the Doctor was running late…she kept her patients WAITING…but the quotation marks told us that there’d be a play on that first word. Hence the patients were “WADING”…literally…(and Waiting…literally)…🙋🏻‍♀️
