    🦫 We recently had Groundhog Day, which just might be a farce,
    Do groundhogs have good eyesight?…See a shadow? Chances sparse..
    But anyway each year, precisely like an ENGINE will,
    They run through the whole ritual…now COMMON to fulfill…
    Today, though it’s two Moles the ACTUAL mammals that we see…
    They’re meeting up another day…it’s all just more ennui…
    There seems no way to change it, UNLESS one burrows real far,
    And then won’t pop up from the ground exactly where they are…
    Insectivores?…With HYMNAL? Despite how I’ve played around,
    Won’t fit the bill so like our moles…needs staying underground…
    The bottom line…these two should SIMMER tea and fight the cold…
    And just ignore what’s inevitable…More of…SAME “MOLE”, SAME “MOLE”! 🦫

    Ok…DOWN to business…The only repeat anagram in play this morning is MCONOM, last seen in 2014. And except for HYMNAL, each of our words today have one or more sets of double letters…something not seen all that often…And although they’re masterfully anagrammed, IMO, I’m sure you can definitely get them all, if you just DIG down a little…

    Our cartoon? Underground and hanging around…Two moles, living as if they’re starring in the movie “Groundhog Day”. And where the one at left looks happy to see his peer once again, the one at right, with his deep FURROWed brow, doesn’t look all that pleased. I mean let’s face it, they’re definitely not living well-GROUNDed lives, and I guess things are starting to look very disMOLE to him. The HOLE thing’s probably just getting him down…Who knows, he may just GOPHER broke and relocate. After all…day in, day out seeing the SAME “MOLE” SAME “MOLE”? …As Yogi would say, “It’s déjà vu all over again”…And It’s probably high time he broke the MOLE…

    So…There you have it Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, stay safe…And for all you chemistry lovers out there…What did Avogadro do to his students in Math class? He gave them surprise MOLE-tiplication tests…but luckily, they all had his number…🦫🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. 🤷🏻‍♀️ The antique store,”SAME OLD, SAME OLD”, had a wealth of new items…a HYMNAL, a pot to SIMMER wax, a miniature fire ENGINE…but there were no ACTUAL prices on anything, just colored stickers…so UNLESS you went to check the listing in the COMMON area, you had no idea what you were in for! 🤷🏻‍♀️

    🤦🏻‍♀️ Not knowing if it’s Covid, or just the COMMON cold,
    Or maybe it was both of them…a virus real two-fold…
    He had some ACTUAL symptoms, UNLESS he could be wrong,
    The way he felt though made him think this might be his swan song…
    He should get up and SIMMER something warm…that would be good,
    But feeling like that ENGINE…the little one that thought it could?
    He wasn’t sure he’d make it…and afraid to be too bold…
    He grabbed his HYMNAL, praying for a cold…SAME OLD, SAME OLD! 🤦🏻‍♀️

  6. Well, it seemed like an easy Blind Solve…and we had it on the tip of our tongues…and had the word MOLE figured out, but that’s about it. Speedily unscrambled anagrams and saw all the MOLES staring us in the face, so that helped us figure it all out. Always love those Motown songs…great choice with the Four Tops. See you on Valentines Day Monday !!

  7. Today was one of the easier Sunday Jumbles. It was a blind solve after figuring out that SMALL BURROWING INSECTIVORES are MOLES. Only anagram that slowed me down was ACTUAL…and I backed into that one, based on the answer to the cartoon. Have a great Super Bowl Sunday!

    🦫 We could name our two guys Chip and Dale,
    Animated, but with the same feel..
    They all dig in the ground,
    The landscapers they hound…
    And they all make that highly-pitched squeal! 🦫

    🦫 Déjà vu, yes it made a hit song,
    But for these moles, it went on too long…
    One just wants to dig out,
    See him there with his pout?
    Deja vu for him? No, it’s all wrong! 🦫

    🦫Today’s puzzle has given us moles,
    And we see them meet up in a hole…
    They’re quite ugly a sight,
    And to your lawn they’re blight..
    And don’t get me started on the voles! 🦫

    🦫 There’s no privacy for our two guys,
    Every day it’s more “hello…good bye”…
    Are they content to dig?
    Or does one flip his lid?
    And make déjà vu his battle cry? 🦫

The best of friends, combined with the best of food? What more is there to say?…And by chance with it also being Super Bowl Sunday? The stars have all aligned!   11. Good morning. Easy one today. The only word that slowed me up a bit was Hymnal. Other that that the rest was a breeze especially since I noticed the cartoon answer was the same two words. Loved both songs Angela but was shocked to learn that Groundhog Day was a farce. Next thing you’ll be telling me is that Christmas is fake too. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

  12. Actual took me the longest to figure out this morning. With all the double letters, cartoon answer was a quicker solve. Don’t know about that Groundhog’s predictions. We haven’t had six days of winter, much less six weeks. We’re in the middle of a “Winter Heatwave. Has been in the 70’s the last few days in S.F. Temperatures we don’t even come close to in the summer months. Go figure! Hope it’s a pleasant day in your little corner of the world. ☀️

    • Betty…We reached 61° yesterday…now it’s 28, and it’s been steadily snowing since 1 o’clock this morning! Go figure, indeed! Here’s to a Happy Galentine’s Day, Betty…Hope it’s a good one…🙋🏻‍♀️
