    👐🏻 A Mother has around her heart so many different strings,
    They tug upon the love WITHIN and help her cope with things…
    When MISUSE sometimes happens, or damage ends up seen,
    Like handprints on wet lacquer…here we see Kathy’s mien…
    No blowup and no anger, no OUTAGE to her calm,
    A RARITY, yes it would be to rattle her aplomb….
    (CASINO just won’t cut it, I tried..not going farther),
    Instead I’ll speak of Jeff who we see as the stressed out FATHER…
    Seems little Cam just got away, but Kathy in the clutch?
    Just smiles and tells both of them that it’s a FINISHING TOUCH! 👐🏻

    With two old anagrams, SSUIME, from 2018, and SANCIO from 2019, today’s words were easily FINISHED…And the solve was a quick one. With the image of the handprint on the table and Kathy saying that “it’s perfect now”…it was a STROKE of genius….and I easily took a SHINE to it…

    And our cartoon looks like it may be a throwback memory. Featuring Jeff, in a Poi T-shirt, his wife Kathy reFINISHING the table, and his son Cam holding a Bob the Builder toy putting the FINISHING TOUCH on it…it PAINTS a pretty picture….

  3. 🙇🏻‍♂️When the FATHER of the CASINO owner was charged with MISUSE of funds, that resulted in the power OUTAGE scandal, it was a RARITY to see justice served so quickly, and WITHIN the gaming community it was considered the FINISHING TOUCH on corruption…🙇🏻‍♂️

    ⚾️ For his FATHER it’s a RARITY, he keeps most things WITHIN,
    But CASINO hopping with his son caused the old man to grin…
    Only then there was the OUTAGE, and all playing had to stop,
    They sat in darkness for a while…the night might be a flop…
    The son though wouldn’t MISUSE time…he came through in the clutch…
    They visited a batting cage…a great night’s FINISHING TOUCH! ⚾️

  4. Good Sunday-Funday morning ! I usually take a break on comments today , but I really liked the connection of the cartoon and the phrase ! When I saw her son put his hand on the table , the word TOUCH came to me and then I saw it in the letters and of course I always take out the ING if it’s there, so I did and what was left was HISNIF . Solved ! Have a Sunday-Funday with a FINISHING TOUCH !!

  5. Marsha and I puzzled over the cartoon for awhile before unscrambling anagrams. I thought TOUCH would be second word….then Marsha came up with FINISHING…so a nice joint effort. Easy anagrams except had to back in CASINO. I guess that handprint is gonna stay as a perpetual reminder. As a Kansas City boy from way back, will be rooting for the Chiefs today. See you Monday.   6. Hi All – Like Terry and so many in the poll, I had to back into Casino. My only thought was Cosign. There seem to be more possibilities when there are three vowels. Does a vowel go in the beginning, end or middle?

  7. Good morning. Enjoyed today’s jumble. Most of the words took some time to get but I stayed with it rather than take the easy way out. The cartoon answer was easy but still had to write down the letters for the first word. Enjoyed your song choice Angela. One of these days I’m gonna learn how to do the hand jive. Bugs me that I screw up all the time. Gotta check if the other Angie or her sister knows how to do it. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

    Probably influenced our little boy…
    Guess he thought he would help,
    …And his Mom didn’t yelp…
    Little handprint does not table destroy! 👷🏻‍♂️

    👏🏻 Table finished..a perfect veneer,
    And we see Mom makes perfectly clear…
    That her child’s handprint,
    Won’t diminish the glint…
    So the little hand…it stays right there! 👏🏻

    🙋🏻‍♀️ We see Kathy redoing a table,
    Proving women are “handyman” able…
    And as Cam left his mark,
    Kathy felt it a lark…
    And it now serves as Cameron’s label! 🙋🏻‍♀️

  11. I too saw touch as the second word,quickly followed by finishing touch as a blind solve.Misuse had me stumped and within looked like whiten at first.Fortunately all that snow is well east of us in Illinois.

  12. I thought the second word of the cartoon would be STAIN or VARNISH, but we didn’t have an A. Then I thought of FINISH for the second word, but it has 6 letters instead of 5. Then I remembered Jim’s approach of taking out the -ING, for the first word, and voila, FINISHING fit for the first word…and TOUCH was left over. I was curious if there was any significance around the POI t-shirt? Have a great Croissant Day!
