    ⛵️ A Schooner’s what they’re looking for, so they put in a bid,
    They’re waiting now to see if their price even fits the grid…
    They spent the time to FORAGE ‘round, looking for the best deal,
    And now they hope what they have bid puts them on even keel…
    The Schooner…it seems perfect, they’re not the DRESSY type,
    They’re laid back and just want to sail…without the frills and hype…
    They’re hoping that an INVITE back for them is in the cards,
    In the meantime they enjoy hanging out at the huge boatyard…
    The ANNUAL costs all worked out, a WIGGLE here and there…
    Now they just want to EXPORT stress, and travel with no care
    So ready to take ownership, it’s anxious vibes they’re sending…
    And they pray that there’d be no waves while their dream “SAIL” WAS PENDING! ⛵️

    After all the buzz yesterday about the word Assail (asail) vs Alias, I got a chuckle seeing our puzzle this morning, about a Schooner. A SAILBOAT…And I’m thinking that if the ones who did SEA it incorrectly still have it in mind…Well, solving this one today should definitely be smooth SAILING…

    So…With the exception of VNTIEI, we’re looking at fresh anagrams to go with our TIDE and true words this morning. And except for an Early Bird blinking at FORAGE, thinking Forego, the guys easily DRIFTED through our words and the solve. And with us all on an even KEEL, we moved on to the cartoon.

    Our CAST of characters today includes two men looking to buy a boat, and a female boat broker. Having put in a bid with the sellers, our guys are anxiously aWAITING word on whether or KNOT their offer’s good…or if they’re just treading WATER here…And with the broker, cell phone in hand, telling them that the SALE hasn’t been finalized, since she’s still “WAITING to hear from the sellers”, we get the message…It’s not a SHORE thing yet…The “SAIL” WAS PENDING! Good gREEF! I hope these guys don’t end up HIGH AND DRY…and HARBORing a grudge…I hate SEAing things like that happen…

    Jeff’s Gems? A seagull’s SEAn perched atop the tower, and of COURSE, off in the distance is Jeff’s Signature Sinking Sailboat. A MAST-SEA when we’re anywhere near water!

  2. 🙋🏻‍♂️ Hoping to gain some WIGGLE room while the SALE WAS PENDING on the ANNUAL shipment of DRESSY clothing, he decided to INVITE the rep along to FORAGE with him through the latest line of EXPORT material…🙋🏻‍♂️

    🙋🏻‍♀️ She always liked to FORAGE through the EXPORT merchandise,
    And listen to the vendors try to WIGGLE ‘round the price
    She liked when they’d INVITE her, it became an ANNUAL thing,
    No need to get all DRESSY, it was just a casual fling…
    She learned to spot the nuances of who was really spending…
    And joined them in anticipation when a SALE WAS PENDING 🙋🏻‍♀️

    Sunday puzzles are usually my favorites because I find solving the 6 letter anagrams easier
    It came close to triple digits in SoCal today. Yuk. We are on the threshold of our major fire season here. I may to move in with one of you guys if my house burns down……..

  6. Today’s puzzle had a “somewhat obvious” solution…but what could that third word be?? Marsha jumped on PENDING while I tackled the anagrams. Like others, first thought FOREGO was in the mix. But with puzzle answer in front of us, backed in FORAGE. Had the back-in not worked, I might still be trying to solve that pesky word. The others were easy. Am humming Bobby Darin’s “Beyond the Sea” as we speak. Enjoy the holiday weekend.

  8. Good morning. Had a really easy time of the words and the cartoon answer. I feel like I won the gold. It wasn’t a blind solve but I did have the first two words in mind. After putting down the letters the last word came right away. Angela, your on a roll with all these good songs you come up with each day. Thank You for the enjoyment.
