    📱 The man’s career is Real Estate, with magic on the side,
    He lives life with a ZESTY charm, his foibles he can’t hide…
    He’s known to DODGE some little things, he sometimes acts the fool,
    But loyalty a strong suit, stubbornness just like a mule…
    He comes up with some crazy stuff, which his wife’s learned to PARDON,
    His DONKEY-like persistence mixed with charm…it’s hard to harden
    One’s feelings when it comes to him, he always tries his best
    Though most times with the end result…things hardly pass the test…
    But this guy is an optimist..and tinkering makes him glad…
    Reactions they may differ though towards him and his DOODADS! 📱

And the way David’s chosen to use it here today, with this MODERN twist? Clever…very clever indeed! And that’s no DAD joke!

    In a repeat of yesterday, we’ve no new words this morning. And left to their own DEVICES, the Early Birds did DOO quite well with them all. And when it came to the solve, with those “Ds” running wild? Let’s just say it was SOLDER gold!

But even if you’re not a fan of “Modern Family”, there’s no missing what David’s INVENTION, I mean intention was here…Small devices and gadgets? This Father loved showing off his DOODADS!

    Jeff’s Gems? Just what you’d imagine Phil would need…There on the table in front of him, we can see a soldering gun, coils of wire, protective glasses with its case, a tube of glue, tiny light bulbs, scissors, a screwdriver, a paint brush, and a small bottle of paint. All to help him perfect his re-designed Remote Control…which now has a little red flag attached to a bell, and a lighted golf ball. To Phil…it’s new and improved. And to his family…one more classic DOODAD!

  3. 🐴 After the cart displaying the DOODADS was overturned again by the way too ZESTY DONKEY, there was no way they could PARDON it and DODGE complaints at the same time…🐴

    🤷🏻‍♀️ Thinking she had a good idea, Grandmother thought to try,
    That game where pin a DONKEY tail might help the time go by…
    Granted it wasn’t ZESTY, by the standards of today,
    But she figured she would take a shot…and set up the display…
    The kids…they chose to DODGE it though, and boredom then set in,
    Rejection was their answer…so it never did begin…
    And soon Grandma was saying…”PARDON me, I guess my bad…
    I’m not into newfangled things…computers and DOODADS”! 🤷🏻‍♀️

  4. Good morning. Easy as a morning dew. Maybe Sunday the hammer will fall. Breezed through both parts of jumble. Only it wasn’t a blind solve. Almost though. I’ll sign off and read everybody later. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

  6. Hi Everybody – I mistakenly had Pandor (pander) instead of Pardon, but the circled letters A and O were still the same. The answer didn’t take long once I saw Dad. I agree that Doodads is a great word that “conjures up some silliness.” I hadn’t heard it for a very long time and needed to check the dictionary to make sure it was a real word.

      • Thank you, Steve. I actually saw that article and even forwarded it to a friend who adores James Taylor. This morning I was listening to public radio, which was playing lots of Joni Mitchell tunes sung by her and others.

        • Steve, the radio show was actually Folk Alley radio on a local fm station. It was also celebrating “Blue.”

  7. An easy Saturday puzzle w a quick solve of the “D” anagrams and cartoon as well.A rare Saturday at home for us,w our usually Saturday duty of watching our 6 year old twin girls in Dixon,superseded by their family trip to sunny Florida.
