  1. Sunday is usually one of my easier J’s because of the added letters. This entire week seemed easy to me. Maybe my skills are improving or David and Jeff are treating us easier.
Today was the day we left cold in Cally and we will be in the 80’s to 90’s during the next week. I always prefer warm to cold so this is OK with moi……………….
Now that the spousal unit and I are vaccinated we will have dinner with some great friends on Monday. They are also fully vaccinated so you might surmise we are all very OLD!!!!!!!
    Hope all are doing well.

    • Whether flip-flops or more formal, I wish you and your friends a wonderful evening, Mig! Splurge and order a bottle of ‘J’ 54 for the table. Jumble Jeff said he’ll pick up the tab…..

  2. Good Morning, Everyone…I hope this finds you well…
    🌊 AND HERE ARE TODAY’S CURRENT EVENTS...🌊

🎶 Day after day I’m more confused…Yet I look for the light through the pourin’ rain… The world outside looks so unkind…Now I’m countin’ on you, to carry me through… Give me the beat, boys, and free my soul…I wanna get lost in your rock ‘n’ roll and DRIFT AWAY…🎶 “Drift Away” – Dobie Gray 1973 https://tinyurl.com/4eyxxn57

🌊 Our picture does DETECT a little Spring is in the air,
But March is such a FICKLE month, we’re TAUGHT to just beware…
One minute winds are peaceful, like CATTLE grazed in sun,
You turn around and a COARSE gust might have you on the run…
One wouldn’t call it INFAMY, but weather can be wild,
So it’s nice seeing this calm day, and Dad out with his child…
The little girl is so surprised that her boat didn’t sit…
And Dad described how wind works…so she’d GET THE DRIFT OF IT! 🌊

I like to sail. I love being out on the water, breathing the fresh salty air, feeling the movement under my feet, having an excuse for why my summer hair tends to resemble a Bichon Frise on steroids. There’s nothing compares to falling asleep on the open water, and waking up to the sounds of the sea…But I’ll put my PONDering aside, as we sea what todays puzzle has to offer…

So, closing out our Sunday Jumbles for the month, today we’re once again playing with all old favorites. KNOT that there’s anything wrong with that! Because if you’re anything like me, this Obscene Quarantine has definitely taken its toll on whatever brain cells I had going for me…so it’s all good. And good is how the Early Birds fared today. It was definitely smooth sailing, with an easy, BREEZY Sunday puzzle. Oh, and GHUATT has DRIFTed past us before, back in 2016. Ok…water you say we get to our cartoon…

Today we find ourselves at an ornamental pond, where a Father and his young daughter are sailing a little toy tugboat. With the wind creating a current, the boat is floating along to the other end from where they’re standing, much to our little girls dismay. But her Dad is heard explaining why, and with our girl catching his DRIFT, she’s ready to cross over to the other side and await its arrival. He’s taking the time to help her understand, so that she would GET THE DRIFT OF IT! https://tinyurl.com/yyt59p58 I love it! I mean it didn’t completely blow me away, but it definitely put a little wind in my sails…if you catch my drift…

…Our cartoon? Jeff’s captured the water currents that our Dad is speaking of, as we see the tugboat drifting, wearing a smile and a cap. He’s also spot-on captured the look of uncertainty on our little girl’s face as she watches her boat being carried away. She says she understands…but you can tell that she’s KNOT totally convinced. And off to the left we can see a woman walking her dog and a man with a remote controlled sailboat. But what TUGged at my heartstrings was the smile on the Dad’s face and his hand reaSHOREingly placed on his daughters shoulder, allaying her fear…Because to me that’s what it’s all aBOAT…

So, There you have it Folks, Done. Have a good one. Be well, stay safe…and I wish you all smooth sailing…🌊🙋🏻‍♀️

  3. 🐄 Being new to CATTLE ranching, he wasn’t able to DETECT the animosity amongst some of the COARSE FICKLE dealers…he just couldn’t GET THE DRIFT OF IT, and he had no intention of being TAUGHT the INFAMY of their ways…🐄

🙇🏻‍♂️ The fabric really felt quite COARSE, he could DETECT the flaws,
That FICKLE manufacturer…his INFAMY caused pause
He wasn’t TAUGHT to be a man who’d argue and get rough,
But no way would he cover any CATTLE with this stuff
Deciding he had had enough, he mustered up his grit…
And faced the manufacturer…he’d GET THE DRIFT OF IT…🙇🏻‍♂️

  4. To our readers celebrating Passover, I wish you Chag Pesach Sameach🍎🍯…And to those keeping the solemnity of Palm Sunday, I wish you a very blessed day…🙏🏻 And may we all share the warmth and love of the season, and have our hearts bloom with joy & happiness. 🙋🏻‍♀️

  5. My vote went to Coarse because I needed the answer to back in. The short words and straightforward answer made this one of my easiest Sundays.. Sweet drawing by Jeff.
I too wish everyone a special day.

    • Good Morning, Caroline. Definitely an easy one today, and I’m with you on the sweet sentiment. Enjoy your day, Caroline. Be well and stay safe. 🌊🙋🏻‍♀️

  6. Agree with Caroline on Coarse. Did all the rest of the anagrams and then put the newspaper down. Bam, it came to me. Spring coming into its own on the Great Plains. Got my second shot yesterday so hope springing as well.

    • And we know hope springs eternal! Have a good day, O. Be well and stay safe out there. 🌊🙋🏻‍♀️

  7. Hi all – I saw that “drift” was implied by the dialog, and the layout of the answer words showed it. I had to try several jumbles before seeing COARSE.

Good wishes to everyone; have a great Sunday.

Great song Angela, and I enjoyed the “current events”!

    • Hi Steve. Good Morning 😉…Yep…The clues we’re definitely flowing today! And thanks! Have a good one…in your Home Sweet Home! 😉🌊🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. Smooth sailing this morning, unlike that cargo ship stuck in the Suez Canal. Good Grief Charlie Brown, say it isn’t so that the shelves will once again be devoid of toilet paper. Wishing all of you calm seas and a pleasant day.

    • Good grief indeed, Betty. The enormity of it all is hard to fathom…No pun intended! Just hearing the comparisons to it…Almost as long as the Empire State Building is high, the length of four football fields?? Totally unreal. Hopefully there’s a solution…And the puzzle? Definitely smooth sailing. Wishing you calm seas 👏🏻👏🏻 too, Betty. Enjoy your day, and a Blessed Palm Sunday to you and yours. Be well…and stay safe out there…🌊🙋🏻‍♀️
