Good morning. A typical Monday jumble. I drilled right through the words and cartoon answer. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.
Agree w a Paul an easy Mon puzzle both or the anagrams and cartoon solution.
Another one where knowing the answer helped working backwards.
In the voting block, I always choose the word that took me longer if only for two seconds. Then when I read the votes and I find the word chosen as the most difficult, I feel I’m being misled. Often it appears the writers knew the solve before they even looked at the anagrams; come on guys, be honest!
Hi all – No problem with the words. I thought BROKE THROUGH for the answer, but couldn’t think of a clever four letter word. The letters showed that it was simply WERE.
Good wishes to everyone.
I don’t follow golf closely, but I hope those who do got to see the remarkable performance by our local 23-year old Collin Morikawa who, having graduated from Cal Berkeley less than 15 months ago, blew away the field with an eagle-producing drive on 16 to win the PGA championship yesterday at San Francisco’s local public course, Harding Park.
“By the time the keepers at the zoo’s bath HUTCH WERE THROUGH, they had greatly helped SOOTHE the WALRUS by scrubbing away the GRIME from his daily encounter with people.”
I’m an avid golfer and agree,Morikawa is the real deal, and that drive on 16 and eagle putt were awesome and clinched the win.Though calling the 9th hole a par 4 at 500 plus yards, and the 16th, a par 4 at less than 300 yards, were both misnomers.
