  1. Good Morning, Everyone…. 🙏🏻 LET US PLAY 🙏🏻

🎶 Amen, amen, amen, amen, amen…Sing it over…Amen, amen, amen, amen, amen…🎶 “Amen” – The Impressions 1964 https://tinyurl.com/y6mave9k

🙏🏻 A while ago the DEACON did put in her application,
Hoping that she’d be welcomed there to practice her vocation
Always one in believing that no FENCE would keep her out
She also hoped her ROTARY club friends would use their clout
(There’s no place here for LARVA, but I mustn’t be amiss)…
The bottom line…a Deacon who’s newly AT YOUR SERVICE…🙏🏻

Today, a split decision…All old members of our congregation, but we have two repeat anagrams, CENEF from August of 2014, Post: https://tinyurl.com/y6gaesu8, and VAARL from June of 2018, Puzzle: https://tinyurl.com/y6bku2jo – Post: https://tinyurl.com/y2qx9wjo, and two newly ordained jumbles that we welcomed to the fold…And it was only ROTARY that caused three of the Early Birds to spin their letters a bit…

And finding ourselves within the hallowed walls of a Church, as Services are about to begin, we see the new Deacon, collaring out to the Minister, “I’m ready…I’m AT YOUR SERVICE”… https://tinyurl.com/yyknqecg…Amen to that!

Eye candy? I’m going with what we don’t see…The Minister’s heard saying that “you’ve got a great crowd”…But we only see five congregants…and can surmise there’s six, because the man at front is seen gesturing towards someone he’s recognized. So, I’m not sure where the crowd is…I guess we’ll just have to take it on blind faith…

Have a Blessed day, Everyone…and I pray you all remain well and safe out there…🙏🏻🙋🏻‍♀️

  2. 🔩🔨 Thinking himself a handyman, an AT YOUR SERVICE type of guy, he attempted to remove the LARVA that had embedded itself within the FENCE…but when he failed, ruining the blades of his ROTARY drill, he decided to SUBMIT an insurance claim…🔩🔨

🦟 The class was studying LARVA, and a paper soon was due,
But Nick and Lou, the ROTARY team were lax semester through…
Together they had slacked off, and now no way could SUBMIT,
A write-up of this final course…these guys were way unfit….
So Nick decided he would FENCE some coins from his old stash,
And find a fellow classmate who’d write papers for the cash…
And while Lou hesitated…the idea making him nervous…
At least three classmates came forward…and said I’m AT YOUR SERVICE…🦟

  3. Good morning. Nothing came easy for me today. Maybe I didn’t eat enough blueberries with my cereal. I finally got all the words but failed on the cartoon answer. Until tomorrow stay well and stay safe.

    • Good Morning, Brooklyn. It looks like you’re not alone…The votes seem to be running 3 to 1 comparing those who got the solve and those who didn’t…But not to worry…there’s always tomorrow…God willing! 😉 Have a good one, Paul…And make sure you got those blueberries on tap for tomorrow! Be well, Bud and stay safe out there…🙏🏻🙋🏻‍♀️

  4. I gave up on the answer, though I had all the letters. But I did learn the meaning of deacon and rectory, which I thought might fit. I also noticed the number of people, Angela, and got a kick out of your “blind faith” line.

  5. Well I completed the solve as I was determined to complete my last jumble in our local paper. Just cancelled as not enough in depth local coverage and a monthly rate of $100. Any suggestions where I can access on line so I can maintain my membership.

    • Good Morning, Jim. So good to see you again. And I can see where you’d be unsatisfied…Especially with a price tag like that…As for the Jumble…here’s a link you can bookmark to get the puzzle each day. For Sunday’s, just go up to the heading, hit the JUMBLE box, and you’ll see the choice. And an added bonus…they publish at the stroke of midnight…so no matter what time you’re awake, you’ll be in luck. Hoping you’re not working too hard…I wish you a restful day off…Be well, Jim…and stay safe out there…🙏🏻🙋🏻‍♀️

  7. I’m in good company this morning. Got the anagrams but couldn’t get the cartoon solution no matter how hard I studied the cartoon or letters. Good mental workout though. Happy Saturday to all of you.

    • Hi Betty. Yeah, today wasn’t the best day for clues…But with the Deacon saying she was “ready to go”…and her being a female, I figured we were at a “service” instead of a Mass, since you know we Catholics don’t have female Deacons…Funny…when I spoke to Paul this morning, the votes were running 3 to 1…Now the unsolved seems to be taking a MASSive lead…😉 Have a good day, Betty…Be well and stay safe…🙏🏻🙋🏻‍♀️

  8. Hi all – I tried IUM at the end of the last word as always but soon saw that SUB worked at the beginning. “Pew”, the 13 letter answer was almost unlucky for me. I saw VERSE in the letters, and thought ON WITH something; then I only saw SO as the first word. Then YOUR appeared and I saw that the first word was AT and got it.

    Good wishes to everyone.

I liked your alternate use of FENCE, Angela, good one! I also wondered how the church was surviving if the minister considers that a great crowd.

“When the town council decided to SUBMIT a bid to fix the LARVA damage to City Hall’s FENCE, the local ROTARY club said ‘We’re AT YOUR SERVICE’.”

They call me DEACON Blues “🎵 (Steely Dan – at Shoreline Amphitheater, Mountain View, CA)
