๐ฆ After the THIRD attempt to get the macaw to stop his incessant SQUAWK, he wanted to BLESS his neighbor once he told him that keeping the birds water COLDER and throwing up a canvas with few quick BRUSH STROKES of a tropical setting would solve the problem…๐ฆ
๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ His wife began to SQUAWK and told him…โNo way will I BLESS
This latest get rich scheme of yours…I dread another mess…
This is the THIRD time this year…youโre just getting more bolder
If you think that this Rube Goldberg will make the house stay COLDER…
You canโt keep wasting money…and the last time we got soaked
So now I need the details…give me more than mere BRUSH STROKESโ! ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ
Good Morning, Everyone…I hope this finds you well…

๐จ You watched him for the second time, or maybe it was THIRD
And calmly you would sit back as his soft voice would be heard
And many people felt to BLESS the quirkiness he voiced,
No SQUAWK was heard from birds of Bobs…it never was his choice
His winter scenes while COLDER, still warmed you as he spoke…
A life with happy little trees…and good old Bobs BRUSH STROKES…๐จ

Ringo, one of the luckiest sub drummers ever.
Good Morning, Professor..I had to search through my files to find this article. I read it years ago and saved it…Ringo had me at hello…Have a good one, Prof. Be well, and be safe out there…๐ฅ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ
Good morning. I guess my head isnโt in to jumble today. I had a few phone calls to make and I decided to look up the answer. The words were no problem but I drew a blank at the cartoon answer and then one call came and I had to return the call then texting so I just figured Iโd bow out. Heard the sad news last night about country singer Charlie Daniels passing away. Loved ๐ his song The devil went down to Georgia. A few years ago I was listening to that song with my youngest son and daughter-in-law and we had a big laugh as she knew every word to that song. In her household she heard it all the time. Until tomorrow stay well.
Good Morning, Brooklyn. I hope you saw that I got back to you last night, around midnight…And I hope things go better there today. Sorry you bailed on the solve, itโs a clever one. And par for the course,๐ the clues were good ones…right on the ball…a great set up…Yep, Charlie Daniels. RIP. And nice memory…But I hate hearing about way too many deaths lately. I cried for hours yโday over losing Nick Cordero. Iโm still bummed…Anyway, have a good one, Paul…And be safe out there in the park…Social distance! ๐๐๐ปโโ๏ธ
I got knocked off course by thinking Dirth (dearth) instead of Third. Usually I have an inkling if I’m misspelling a word but not this time. Eventually, though, I did find my mistake once I spotted Strokes.
Wishing all a great day.
Knocked off COURSE! ๐๐ป๐๐ปNice one, Caroline! STROKES was definitely the way to go, but Bob holding the BRUSH, and the woman mentioning the โShrubsโ…those were the clinchers…Very cute and clever today. Be well, Caroline…stay safe.๐จ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ
I also saw dirth before third, and then was stumped on colder ,but then being a golfer, brush ‘strokes’ came to mind.Speaking of golf,I almost was done in by the heat this morning on the golf course, with the temp of 88 contributing to a real feel temp of 103,ouch!
You definitely need to stay safe out there, Prof! ๐ฅ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ
Great minds think alike, Caroline and Chuck. I too saw dirth and colder took me fairly long to solve. However, with the K, I figured strokes would be in the answer so backed into third to arrive at brush. I thought it was a clever puzzle this morning. I canโt believe Ringo Starr is 80 years old. I remember when the Beatles came to San Franciscoโs Candlestick Park. It was an absolute mad house. Have a good one, all.
Oh, Betty..I almost forgot. My Bobblehead came last night. But my regular mail person is on vacation, and the sub is doing two routes, so the pkg wasnโt dropped off until around 8. Iโm a little obsessed…(maybe a lot, IDK) ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ…but I do a lot of on-line shopping, and I leave all the boxes in my entry hall for 24 hours before opening. I know it might sound weird, but I read it somewhere, and weโve lost too many souls here to be cavalier about anything. Iโd rather be (neurotically) safe than sorry…Anyway…I havenโt opened the box yet…but I canโt wait! Just a fee hours more! ๐๐ป๐๐ป๐ง๐ป๐๐ปโโ๏ธ
Hi all – I had to jumble COLDER several times for some reason. Since the cartoon was at a golf course I was *sure* the answer would contain ROUGH, like ROUGH SKETCHES or ROUGH DRAFTS, but when I ran head-on into the absence of a โGโ, I had to go โback to the drawing board.โ I saw STROKES when I wrote the letters, and then the rest.
Good wishes to everyone.
Iโm too old for Bob Ross; I was a John Nagy fan thanks to my brother.
Wonderful Summer Song Angela, thanks; really brings back the feelings of the time.
Ringo turns 80, eh? Well, he was (is) the oldest Beatle, but John would have turned 80 this October 9 as well. Iโll post this link again to one of my favorite clips, where Ringo explains and demonstrates his technique for โTicket to Rideโ and โCome Togetherโ (and how being left-handed influenced them.) And for me, โRainโ remains unsurpassed. https://tinyurl.com/yd3hw7m2
When I went to YouTube for this clip, I found that thereโs a Ringo birthday party special with Paul McCartney, Joe Walsh and many others showing tonight at 8 Eastern, 5 Pacific!
โAs it got COLDER when the THIRD hour ticked by waiting for the priest to BLESS the birds for New Yearโs, both the macaw and his owner began to SQUAWK loudly.โ (As always Angela, I wrote my sentence before I read anything in the blog including yours. โMediocre Mindsโ, right down to the MACAW!)
Mediocre minds, indeed! ๐๐๐ปโโ๏ธ
Mike McCormick…How’re you doing? I just knew Ringo would draw you out!๐ Hope all is well with you and yours…๐ฅ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ
