Good morning. No contest today. Easy breezy from the words to the cartoon answer. Until tomorrow stay well.
I agree with Paul that the answer was easy, but I had to back into both Suntan and Dredge. The jokes in the voting box made me smile. Wishing all a great, safe day.
I also had to back into suntan, from the cartoon answer,”in a heartbeat” ,that was easy ,even for a Wednesday,it is Wednesday isn’t it?Have a great day.
Chuck, why don’t you get a La Crosse atomic digital wall/desk clock?
When you open your eyes in the morning, you will see: Time, Month, Date, DAY,
and Temp. They are inexpensive and a lifesaver for us sometimes befuddled old
folks. Stay Safe and have a great Wednesday.
Easy time of it again today. We’re on a roll this week so far. Have a good day all.
Easy like Wednesday morning
Hi all – The answer was obvious, then I saw DEGREE before DREDGE (interesting because the double-letter trick of separating the double letters works twice in the same word.) I absolutely could not see SUNTAN (discarding “stannus”, “sultan”, “nausea” and others) until I worked from the required AT or TA, and even then it took several tries.

Good wishes to everyone.
My former co-worker, a Swede from Minnesota, decided to DREDGE up his energy and BEGAN his FIFTH attempt at getting a SUNTAN without burning.
💔 I have to keep it real today, as I get air outside,
Not caring ‘bout a SUNTAN…we’re all pale because we hide…
This virus sure has managed to DREDGE up pain it seems,
So I can’t help but feel off-put by seeing today’s theme…
I know it’s just a puzzle, I BEGAN to shrug it off,
But there are those who’ve suffered loss, and find it hard to scoff
I looked at it a fourth time, and then gave it a FIFTH…
But back to all the loss of life my mind did constant drift…
My intent’s not to criticize, but life’s not so complete
For those of us who‘ve lost someone…just gone IN A HEARTBEAT…💔
Dedicated to all of us whose lives have changed…Stay well, stay safe…and try to stay strong…🙏🏻
Appreciate your sentiments, these times are unreal for all,of us.
Thanks, Professor. 💔
Agreed, beautifully stated Angela. Sorry it was such an unfortunate cartoon today, and sorry for the losses you and yours have endured.
Thanks Steve…
I did this not only for myself, but more for all the readers out there whose lives have been terribly impacted by this damn virus, and how we now find ourselves shattered and lost… and trying to cope day by day…I know I can’t be the only one. And I’m not saying the puzzle isn’t a clever one…but maybe for another time. I just think it’s a little too soon, and a little too raw right now. Timing is everything in life…Granted it goes on, but it can definitely leave a ton of hurt in it’s wake…💔
